My mom's blood specialist tried to say that what she has wasn't nothing to be too concerned about and now my mom is dying from it. It's hard to find doctors that actually cares about patients

I've heard it said before that psychopaths often become doctors. Obviously not all doctors are psychopaths but they are probably over represented.

My precious husband, the love of my life, lost his life to CLL in February of this year. He literally gave his life for his country, because his leukemia was the result of Agent Orange after serving during the Vietnam War. I miss him every hour of every day.

Absolutely. I’m 30 and something hasn’t been right for years. My hair is falling out, unexplained weight loss, body aches without fever, debilitating fatigue, etc. My blood results have continuously been abnormal in very low white blood cell counts. Yet, when I went to the ER the doctor told me if he were me, he wouldn’t be concerned. I just cried after he left the room. And he’s just one in many who have treated me the same.

I was diagnosed after experiencing two months of increasing shortness of breath and bilateral pleuritic pain. My X-rays revealed multiple areas of collapse and fluid around both of my lungs and increased mediastinal lymphadenopathy. My white blood cell count was only minimally elevated, but my mediastinal lymph node biopsies revealed SLL (with good prognostic markers). Because I was so sick, I had a course of chemo and targeted immunotherapy. That was just over six months ago, and despite some unchanged radiologic findings, I am feeling back to normal. Let's hope my story ends there.

Cancer diagnosis and treatment is very slow. It took 6 months after diagnosis to start chemo / radiation. Surgery was 11 months after diagnosis for sarcoma. And they wanted to make it 13 months later originally.
