I found this helpful in a couple ways, but mostly seeing someone using the controls, which are not yet something my hands understand haha. Thanks for another great video you've obviously put a lot of time into this!
Glad it helped and thank you for your views and time
Looks good.
Noticed when you were playing those fighting games at the start some of those buttons sure sounded clicky, at least in the video recording.
Plastic on Plastic it's moreover the sound of the old Megadrive pad, not as loud when playing though its because the camera is close to the unit
Sweet, I will have to update mine soon and check it out! Stock I was a little sad that MvC2 on DC had some drops, if I can get that solid and most Saturn games I will be very happy.
Cool man
Naomi's MvC2 plays very well.
@@Retro_White as in perfect?
@@Retro_White definitely
Absolutely spot on sonic mate exactly answers all my questions bang on nice on . As always SONIC FOR PRESIDENT
Thank you man
Order and paid for looks nice in black going f black. Nice video . As always SONIC FOR PRESIDENT
@@retromackhandheldgamescons7097 nice choice, have to let me know what you think of it when you get it buddy, did you go for the Anbernic RG ARC D then? With Linux and Android dule boot?
Yer just realised there's two good job you asked me. Changed order and you have saved me a good 30 quid to man . Nice 1 as always SONIC FOR PRESIDENT
@@retromackhandheldgamescons7097 not a problem buddy
I got the arc D its been a while Mr Sonic 🙏🏽i want Saturn games on my device but i dont know how to use a PC its so frustrating
Hey man, I have put lots of new videos on so please feel free to check them out. I think if you go on ebay you can get pretty made sd cards, maybe tri one of them
First want to let you know I love the videos you've made on it so far but I really would like to know if the saturn rpgs would run well on it?
I love the saturn and I've always wanted to beat the dragon force games, guardian heroes, shining force, panzer dragoon, astal, and of course grandia but none of the handhelds I have can run them well and I barely find time to game on my pc or infront of the tv. I know that the dragon force games will push a system with how many characters are on the screen
No sadly Sega saturn is a had system to emulate the best handheld to get will be the rg556, anbernic cube, retroid pocket 4 pro to play Sega saturn games
Any skipping or audio sync issues with Deep Fear? Especially during the intro?
Not tested it but I will have a check
@@SonicLoveEmulation thanks!
@@coppermutant not a problem
I have this same stock firmware but no Saturn games, do I just put them in the roms folder and they'll work? I assume the firmware already has the bios? Not sure if there needs to be a specific emulator added
I always add my own roms and bios so not sure but add them in and then if it dose not work it will need the bios files
@@SonicLoveEmulation Thank you, I added them in and they worked so bios were there:)
@@joles-gaming great news and gmat you got it sorted man enjoy
I like the idea of the actual 6 button controller for fighting games. Especially low, mid, high punches and kicks.
Yes definitely and it works very well to, I wish more hands would try this set up more and use the 4/3 4inch screen too
What handheld do you have or using at the moment?
@@SonicLoveEmulation Been enjoying the Odin 2, Trimui Smart Pro, RG280v and Miyoo Mini Plus (original smaller Miyoo Mini is having screen issues and pretty flimsy), and Steam Deck. I must have about 50 others that I'm not using. Been experimenting since the Bitt Boy and the Odroid Go.
@@cappnplanetcappnplanet3237 wow you sound like me...not knowing what to choose to tinker with or play games on
The trick to sonic r is to use the b button to accelerate mate. Then d pad for shallow turns and shoulder buttons for tighter turns. You'll get the hang of it. Also, be sure to jump at appropriate places. Maybe try using knuckles or tails to begin with as they can both fly and are slightly slower than sonic I think.
Good tips I will definitely try that next time I have a blast on it....thanks man
@@SonicLoveEmulation no worries, enjoy
@@theanaloguegamer will so man
What is or are the best handheld(s) for handling Sega Saturn emulation? Ever better if the handheld has HDMI out and a good battery life running Saturn games. Looking at Sonic R here, I am wondering how did I like that so much? The music alone is terrible! I bet Bug! would be a blast on a handheld. Same for Astal and Rayman.
For the price and the screen I would say this handheld, and it has hdmi out...what games are you actually wanting to play
@@SonicLoveEmulation Being a day 1 Sega Saturn owner that LOVED it, it's way more than a few but some are Bug!, Ultraman, Fire Pro Wrestling, Radiant Silvergun, Clockwork Knight, Enemy Zero, Shinobi Legions, Panzer Dragoon games, Scud, Skeleton Warriors, Burning Rangers and Herc's Adventures are some.
Everything I had was stolen in a break in around 1999 and I only have the game manuals & inserts now to all I had and I had a lot (games & hardware & custom console). This has always been my favorite console experience.
@@mythias yeah it's such a clasic system and so sad you had to deal with the brake in man...that's definitely poop! And sadly retro gaming can be very expensive to replace now days. Thank God for emulation I say
what saturn emulator are you using?
Standalone there is one one. Not.using RA
@@SonicLoveEmulation there's yabasanshiro2 and now another based on mednafen...can you give me the name of the emulator you are using or a link? Thanks
What is the OS and the Emulator?
@@casasdacaixa OS or firmware is the operating Linux system that makes you play emulation on the device. The emulators is the specific retro system that makes you run the games i.e ppsspp is the emulator and it runs psp games
@@SonicLoveEmulation i ask if it was a original OS or have instaled another? I Ask what is the Emulator use in This Saturn game?
i wish the saturn emulator has the shader option like those in retroarch..... all retro games really play better with zfast filter....
Yeah, I use it for my PC Batocera build.
Beetle and yabasanshiro libretro cores and zfast.
But on a handheld device with smaller screens, just not sure.
On steam deck Ive tried it and kinda looks good, more so for 2D games, but at moment I have disabled so use none.
And on even smaller screens it can make the image appear even darker.
But I agree, it can look good.
And if you use zfast on systems like gameboy, gamegear etc it has a grid like dot matrix effect.
Scanline works OK too, depending on what system you use it for but it can make the image darker than zfast.
Definitely, nice to mess around with the shaders. But in the standalone emulator you can be limited to that and yes the device is not powerful enough to have Sega saturn run through RA
Agreed man makes it look nice but have noticed on some specific games it dose make it a tad darker
