I’m happy I was part of the journey getting this all set up for you & tuned. It runs so hard & it’s so fun now 💻📈
Where did you go on your journey as I never saw you drive anywhere? I saw you help a guy rebuilding his car.
@@andrewmeadows2596Metaphorical journey
@@andrewmeadows2596 he said 'part of the journey' did you not see the advice and fixes he made, not to mention the tune. Desmond obviously knows his stuff. Jack could have been chasing those issues for weeks. Dude pointed them out straight away. Stop being a dick.
@@andrewmeadows2596 What? Let the guy be proud to have helped. That’s someone taking pride in their work.
You did a hell of a tuning job @performancedestination5622
A good tuner makes the project come together, this is awesome 👍
Its quite rare to find a guy that has truly professional skills.. Total respect to Desmond. Its a great car and you should be very proud to have built itt.
I appreciate that!
A true gentleman and master of his craft...
he not only gets the tune right but he explains why he did it that way, and then gives reassurance after the fact by testing the plugs and such, explaining what you want to see on a happy engine. top shelf professional there
Jacks evo made him immediately 10 years younger, love hearing that excitement in his voice 🤙🏼
Desmond at Performance Tune is extremely knowledgeable. It’s great to see that level of ability.
Thanks so much for your support, we end the year on a bang 😜! Hit the LIKE button and SUBSCRIBE!
Dude you looked so wound up before taking that first drive, i thought clock parts were gonna fall out of your ears lol. Glad you guy's got everything figured out, you've worked so hard to get this dream car driveable, and ready to boost everyday. G-d bless from one of the two female subscribers watching. Don't scare your wife with getting to crazy with this car, cuz you have more car's to build.
Congratulations! That car is really something awesome, good times good people really cool to see you driving it. Hope get some more driving videos/rolling shots.
Also I can’t remember of top of my head I think if I remember right you have nice custom cover that sits on top of radiator, but a proper fan shroud for the radiator can do a lot for if you don’t have one.
Don’t ever think your alone life can be stressful and you really pushed hard with this build but you earned it !
Congratz Jack its amazing !!!
Hi Jake I feel for you mate when it comes to losing family it sucks I’m 36 and a few years ago I lost my sister to cancer she was only 32 years old and I was 33 at the time and it still breaks me everyday I hope things work them selfs out for you and your family and I love the car
By far the best build I have seen.
Desmond what a legend. You need a wing on that Evo my friend. With that amount of power :D. Congratulations on your car!
Deffo need a big wing 👌
Needs a wing and some badges!!! Killing it!
Desmond is a boss hope other people seeing ur work to book a trip to you
Desmond knows what he is doing honest tuner🤞💯
Sorry about your sister. 2023 was a rough year, I lost my mom as well. Thanks for raising awareness of mental health, I appreciate that it's becoming less overlooked thanks to awesome channels like yours
Man, the genuine happiness and excitement drawn on your face after your first pull were priceless. Congrats, you've come a long way.
Best evo tuner in the country. Uses a corded Black & Decker drill from 1984. 👍👍
Desmond top customer service.. knowledgeable and understanding.. caring genuine honest. Shout out to him and you Jack
Desmond is freaking smart. I'd love to see your personal build.
Jack, we're all proud of you dude. You did a great job building an amazing car and really displayed your skillset throughout. Seeing the car from start to finish is wild. Riding with you on the first pulls really showed me that with patience, hard work and dedication we can achieve anything.
I appreciate that bro you helped me a ton on dyno day so I could focus on the car and you got some really cool shots of the day that made the video better! I’m excited for your kswap 😎
Kudos to Desmond for bringing this awesome build full circle. Everyone's hardwork realized in Jack's face during his first test drive! Looking forward to the next project...don't leave us hanging too long?!?! Happy New Year!
I’m hoping to get a new project video out asap
Wow, the tunner perfectional demeanor.
wow what a godsend of a tuner
Desmond tuned my Evo X. Let me say he knows his stuff when it comes to Evo’s. 💯
I been out of the game for a long time after a lot of money and time with the 4B and 4G platform. I follow very few Evo social media pages in order to keep me from relapsing. And Performance Destination is one of them ! So glad to see him featured in this build. If the day ever comes... he will be my first stop !
Dude what a crazy year for you! It’s been insane watching this car go from crash damaged to an absolute beast! 2023 will be a year I’ll never forget. Thanks for letting me be a part of it! Big Moments for 2024 🎉🎉🎉
Wouldn’t have it any other way bro thanks for your help and most importantly your friendship 💙🍻
can I get a HELLL YEAAAHHH
HELLL YEEAAAHHHYAAAY

Fantastic result Jack. Your excitement is absollute. Desmond is the man
I'm that guy from NC. He's very knowledgeable and experienced.
I miss those first drives after getting tuned. Thanks for taking us along on that journey. Great job!
im happy for you man. i'm not crying, your crying. Car is tough, enjoy it, you earned it brother.
May your sister rest easy & peacefully🤧❤
I'm proud of this man & what he's accomplished. ITS FINALLY ALIVE. What a great inspiration
Man I was literally smiling and giggling all the way through the pulls. Happy for you man, love the Evoo 💪🏻
Gosh Desmond explains things so well that guy’s like me can only admire his brilliance 😊
So happy for you Jack! And Desmond, what cool guy!
I have been a mechanic for 30 years and for a bloke to tell you exactly what the engine is doing with fuel, timing ect from the plug knows exactly what he is doing. Thats someone that will get everything they can from an engine and not just power but everything like driveability and longevity. Massive respect
You're being polite, aren't you? 😁 I'd bet that like me, when that car first started, you knew something was off and that it was more predominant and more serious than just having a poor AFR. That the most severe and primary issue to address wasn't related to a faulty IAC valve, excess fuel pressure, a restriction in the fuel return line, or LOL air bubbles in the cooling system. If your first guess was anything like mine, you heard a dead hole. I mean, after he finally figured that out, that's why he pulled the plugs wasn't it. This after he had Jack purchase and replace a not faulty fuel pressure valve and IAC valve.
Congrats, my dude!!!!
Always pretty cool feeling when hitting the gaz pedal after a big build. Im on a Golf R mk6 400 hp so i imagine the EVO on 548 AWHP ! You deserve it Jack after all the work and love on this car !!
Back when you started this series, I had commented that I was inspired to buy an old blown up Subaru. Well, as luck would have it, I have actually gotten that car running and driving again! Unlike yours, however it's slow and automatic. But this has me feeling that itch to do it all over again, maybe with something a bit faster this time :P. Love the series, can't wait to see what else you have goin on!!!! Much love from Kansas!
Hell yeah! Desmond is a legend! Seeing and hearing it drive gave me the chills and got me a lil misty eyed. What a journey!
I already love Desmond
This guy is unreal. So much knowledge and true master of his trade
best evo on the tube by far... just needs that wing to complete.. all credit to you jack.. my fav build on the net. will have to go back and rewatch everything.. thanks for sharing this with the world..
After all the hard work, stress and more stress that Jack has been so honest with showing us over this build, the real payoff isn't the car. It's witnessing the joy of the builder! We look forward to more great things from you Jack. 👍
building a car is one thing, tuning is another.credits to Desmond.also is always great to see the smile and happiness when a full build it making sauce and rips like a champ.kudos jack
Jack congrats on 100k couldn't have happened to a better person
There are so many smart and talented mechanics on your build. What a great group of people! Thanks for documenting.
Genuine guy a grail car and a genuine channel seeing your happiness is great
Desmond is really a rare gem for sure. Super skilled. Hard to find this level of professionals.
Solid build even against all the adversity. I too lost my sister last year, and it was very unexpected. Sorry for your loss!!!
It's the genuineness that keeps me coming back. I want to see more cars done by Jack. He's also so humble. Great video, great content, I've enjoyed this series. Please do another. If you can find a RX-8, it would be great to see you do one, no swapping out the rotary though. Again, great job! The car looks great. Oh, and you can also do the Mitsu's rival.... wink wink.
This was awesome, nice work Jack. Desmond was a champ the entire video absolute legend
I think this video will help others who have a similar set up and are preparing for a professional tune. (Hopefully with Desmond at Performance Destination.)
Congrats! Looks incredible
may your sister rest in eternal peace Jack, im sorry for your loss, sending you a big hug
Classic Evo fuel return problem! I had to drill mine out quite a bit when I installed a 450lph to get back to base pressure. You might want to just get a Radium Engineering double pump hanger and be done with the stock housing.
Let's go jack. Hope this next year is HUGE for you brother.
You can also increase return fuel line diameter but would recommend using a racing fuel cell set up just 2 cents. Dezman.has also got a good point use a electronic waste gate controller instead of spring set up you can then increase boost and it will be better controlled psi. It will crisp the engine up alot by achieving a more accurate fuel to air ratio adjustment. From my experience you can have erratic fuel to air fuel ratio with spring style waste gate control.
Congrats Jack!!! So stoked for you. Great to see the smile on your face after Dez did his magic. 🍻🍻
Nice to see you finally drive it Jack. Awesome car!
It’s so cool that you’ve been showcasing so many people with incredible skills. You’ve somehow surrounded yourself with an A-team of all stars of talent, including yourself.
Thanks for showing Desmond do his thing! Such an incredible build and a fun journey!
Best feeling ever! Great job, no Evo build is without its hiccups. Believe me, we have all been down that road. I can't tell you how many ups and downs I had with my Evo build. But you persevered and now experiencing the fruits of your labor. Enjoy your car!
As an EVO-obsessed BR I personally am very excited about your happiness bro, congratulations on your new rebuilt EVO VIII. The car was amazing, but I missed the spoiler, did you choose not to put it on the car? Congrats!!!
Some Say, Jack be nimble, Jack be Quick, Jack be White Knuckle-n dat shifter Stick! Congrats Jack, a tremendous car you created.
I've been watching you build this from Scotland, when I read your thumbnail I thought something bad had happened but you totally delivered. Jack Definitely Built It!!!!!
Ive been following this build since ep.1.This makes me happy to see,Jack 🎉 such a good series. Keep it coming.
At 39:00,gives me big 2fast 2furious vibes 🤩🤝
Best of luck from Norway🇳🇴
What an epic journey! Congrats on arriving at the finish line.. Dreams do come true!
What an epic journey and some great workmanship along the way. So good to see the finished article and nice to see a professional tuner do his job and sort it out too! Well done Jack!😊
I've had a Ride in my mates 450HP EVO 9 here in NZ and its hard to explain how hard and violent the all wheel drive pulls are in this car, I cant imagine how epic Jack felt in his Over 500HP EVO, For me it's definitely the fastest I've felt in a turbo car hands down over WRX's etc, I'd love me a ride in a High HP 2JZ Supra!
Big up to the mechanic genius to have Jack soo happy happy build🎉
Glad it's living up to expectation! Dude, really knew his stuff anddid this car justice. Also, the minor editing hiccup in the last episode aside, the video quality lately has noticeably improved. This felt like a full on documentary!
Great build awesome tune yes get that wing but I think you've done an awesome job . Much love from the UK. ❤
Man that tuner knows what’s up. Tuners around my parts need to take some lessons.
I love the depth of your videos and builds! Great job dude.
Genuinely buzzing for you. Smiled the whole time.😊
The car is beautiful! I wish I had a shop as bright as the one you use! There must be 100,000 lumens in there! Nice!
Well done Jack. You’ve smashed this build and your pride in it shows! Which is nice to see. 👍
This thing sounds SCARY. I love it. When you test drove the car that was so damn epic... great episode, Jack.
Your reaction during and after your first drive is what it’s all about. Congratulations Jack……look forward to your next project.
We love you jack, I'm glad to be apart of this family and the journey of rebuild of this evo, happy new year to everyone out there, i hope everyone had a great year, I'm sorry about your sister passing please don't push yourself to hard❤
So proud of you Jack!
You guys are the best 💙
I was originally going to go the RX7 life.
But you inspired me to go back to my roots, i have owned evos all my life from an evo 7 to an evo x.
currently geting an evo 8 GSR built!
I want to say this tuner knows his stuff. When you see and hear a person that says, that's bad. And everyone else is listening. You know oh yeah. This person knows this stuff at serious levels.
Sounds amazing, especially that BOV!
I’m so glad you got some one who has the same professional attitude as you to tune your car and not just over boost it , he respects the street-ability of your car and tuned it to street drive while being reliable!
Awesome job Desmond!
Great video Jack , now I want to see Freddy drive it 😂😂🙈
Just awesome And so happy to see you happy. The long days of hard work have payed off. And all credit to Desmond
Congratulations on getting it sorted and running
Performance destination tuned my evo 9 also!
It’s so good to see that all your hard work paid off. So glad to be part of this amazing project with you Jack 😊
Excellent from start to finish and always shows it doesn’t always go to plan but that’s real life and hard work beats talent
first feeling of driving evo was awesome sound of turbo wooooooooooooooow amazing. great job jack and thanks for build a legend of jdm
Very happy for you Jack you've worked so hard getting that girl to were she is now. A.M.A.Z.I.N.G 👌👌👌
Firstly, beautiful job! The attention to detail is outstanding. You have mentioned things that you believe set your car apart. I believe that it's the things that can not be seen that truly sets it apart from others.
Generally fuel pressure for cars of this vintage are 38 idle, 42 at 0 vacuum. 1:1 rising rate fuel pressure reg means it adds 1 psi pressure for each psi of boost. So at 10 lbs boost, with 42 psi base, youd have 52 psi total fuel pressure.
But at this point, you'd want to set the base pressure to whatever the fuel injector manufacturer says for a nice spray pattern.
You have been blessed with a good mapper/tuner there!
Love it…..having the right tuner and backing of high quality parts, and people that actually know what they’re doing………makes a world of difference.
Congrats Jack🎉👍👍👍
Nice work Jack! 👍 I'am imprest by the workmanship along the way, and it turnd out amazing! And sounds greate... 😁
Sorry for your loss Jack know the feeling lost my mum this year as well 😢
That turbo noise is sick!
Ol Kat knows his stuff
Much love jack ! ❤
I just started watching this channel a few videos ago and got to say I love it keep your head up because your going places !
I'm juggling a lot of plates for 2024, but this video just put a smile on my face and made my day. That machine is ripping paving stones out of the ground man, what a build. Well deserved, Jack, well deserved.🤘
Great Journey 😀👍 Congrats!!!! So satisfying to know it's a full restoration .. from the tiniest screw and bolt. Pure quality from top to bottom and start to finish.
I had no idea you'd been through so much Jack. You're doing amazing. Thank you for being open, honest, entertaining and a great educator. Sending you and your family my kindest thoughts. I hope you've been OK over the holidays. I know how difficult it is. All the best for 2024 man 🙏🏻
