To all those ETO with questions: in case if you have a 440v alternator - before measurment you have to disconnect AVR only, control circuit are made protected against 500v so dont worry to harm it during insulation testing. Not a big difference in situation with 6.6kV alternator - disconnect the AVR, and wear the gloves bc of residual voltage can be too high that case, measure the line voltage before you start. Peace.

Well, I didnt see in this video any measurements of IR Alternator, also no any video handy instructions how to install correct jumpers to dioides rectifier and IR measuring points of Rotor
Sir gamitan mo lang ng alligator clip. Before mo e clip, make sure na malinis ang contact na pag connectahan mo ng clip.,base in my experience pag bago kuha ang barko meron pang electrical insulation paint na nakabalot.
Normally sir dapat Ohmmeter lng po dapat kasi semi conductor, pero pag ang office or company ninyo merong memo na mag IR test or Megger test, gawin mo dyan, e jumper mo yong mga diode using wire, yan yong safety na pina ka best na ginagawa q, sana nakatulong

Since the stator is star-connected, what's the point of measuring the other two phases. I used to check the rotor four-five times, but then I stopped and measured only the stator. Necessarily disconnected the wires going to the top of the winding from the AVR. After finishing the measurements, I grounded all the points that I measured with a wire for a few seconds. So I did it on all types of alternators encountered, and in most cases you are afraid to measure insulation, just write that it's good 😀.I can send you a lot of video as I measure it, send your mail

At shipyard takeover , those techninians don't disconnect any genertr connection nor fuses, directly megger 5oov on mains 3 terminals, no harm noticed
Sir i have 1 question? Why not using 1000v for main stator?
As per manual, 500v is good enough for this sytem. But 1ooov much better sir

I have tested with megger test Fluke 1578 with 550 Volts test, this same alternator without disconnect the AVR Connector and nothing are happened
