Head gasket failure isn’t uncommon on the Td5, and it’s one of those things you need to regularly check for. Changing the head gasket, or even a failed head gasket, wouldn’t make a notable change in power. What does kill power on these is skimming the cylinder head, so if yours has got really hot and warped the head, you could be facing a potential loss of power after a repair.
We often do, although its mainly things such as tired injecotrs. This engine must have had a very easy life, accruing its mileage on long journeys, rather than short runs, as it was in fantastic condition.
That's awesome with that low down torque increase that helps off-road. Awesome video

What diameter is the exhaust?
2 1/2” diameter, getting those gasses out quickly!
