I just bought the Glock 19 today. I live in Los Angeles, CA so I'm waiting the 10 day period. This video was very thorough and answered all my questions. Thank you.
Bullet, round, magazine, clip...don't be a word snob. Virtually anyone can watch this video and know what he is talking about. This was a very concise and informative video.
thank you! I have posted an updated how to use Glock guns video that you may find helpful and useful! Please feel free to check it out on my channel and if you enjoy, like and subscribe!
I love how every one is so mad about you using the term "clip " Lol. Anyways, that was actually very informative video for beginners as I have been asked this question several times.

As with other viewers that have seen this video and stated that this is a Good Glock 19 firearm entry knowledge video (especially (for someone like me) to know basically know how to begin using this weapon. Great job im subscribing now. Thnx.
Dont be hating on him just because he is saying "clip" or "bullet" he's the one who is making a video for you people out there who don't know how to use a firearm.
I think this video was great. I appreciate the way you had 'Dumbed it Down' for us beginners. Also, many of the comments say its a Mag and not a Clip....some 'gun' people are just picky babies when it comes to firearms becuz they think they know more than the next person. I PERSONALLY appreciate that you had uses BOTH terms. Because to a beginner, I would been like' Whats the Difference!!??' The bottom line is that there is not really a difference just choice of terminology and how technical in firearm nomenclature some wanna be.

Nicely done video. Any level of shooter can always learn something new. Enough of the negative banter about clips and magazines. Yes, technically a clip is a clip and a magazine is a magazine. But also technically, small arms are not GUNS. They are either rifles, pistols or revolvers. GUNS are cannons and howitzers. The common usage had over taken the technical in this case.
Machine *gun,* shot *gun,* mini *gun,* etc. The term gun is derived from Old Norse (gunnr) or a non-English name (Gunilda), so the distinction is not technical necessarily
Thank you very much I’m new with gun I just bought my first gun today , is a 17 glock 5 gen, I haven’t used it yet I’m still watching videos like this one to learn

A couple issues I noticed with the way you do things: When you are grabbing the slide, I would recommend using the first 3 fingers on your week hand, as well as the base of your thumb (where fingers hit when closing fist) to rack the slide back When you are sliding back the slide, pull it all the way back, and let it slide forward on its own, do not guide the slide back forwards. These weapons are designed to slide forward on their own, the way you do it will cause wear and eventually break parts. Additionally, when the slide is locked back, always, always, manually close the slide by pulling it back and letting it go forward; using the slide lock lever to move the slide forward will also cause wear on that lever. Just some things I have noticed. I shoot a glock 22 (LE)
You should have mentioned the loaded chamber indicator. The extractor will stick out and provide a tactile indication of a loaded round. Page 8 of the owners manual.
Very nicely done, very informative and sensible video. A few commentators in here think everyone should already know this, but even though I've handled rifles and shotguns all my life I have never fired a auto pistol (have fired an old 44-40 Colt revolver, could not hit a thing with it!) ... so it was very interesting to me at least.
Thank you for this. My boyfriend has a glock19 and I know nothing about it. I thought it had three safteys on it... Yeah, I am incompetent with guns but this was very informative. I subscribed for more information like this.

Thank man I never handle a gun in my life but it good to now. I live in a big city and don't when shit will hit the fan. This is the most use gun in the world.I can find one god forbid a cop or militery officer losse's it life and I need to define my self or family. THANK YOU.
He used "clip" and, "magazine" interchangeably. I don't see why some of you are SO uptight about that... Apart from the firing end pointing at his thigh, even unloaded, I thought he was very informative to newbies like me. I pick up my Glock 19 tomorrow. Not too excited, but I live rural, on over 30 acres. Thanks for the tutorial.

Really? Most of you are concentrating on the difference between "Clip" and "Magazine". I spent twenty years as an 11B, to include special ops (75th Rangers), and those two words were interchangeable to us. If I asked a buddy in combat to throw me a clip, guess what, he would throw me a mag. If I asked a buddy to throw me a mag, he would throw me a clip. If you ever trained both, Military, and LE, you would know that the language is different. Otherwise, it would be a cool thing to keep your mouth shut.
When I was In the Marines people would make a big deal about saying magazine instead of clip. Stupid considering a good number of Marines can't speak proper English and use all kinds of screwed up terms. I remember we called a canteen a "water bowl." A pair of glasses, "portholes." Running shoes - "go fasters." But god forbid you say clip instead of mag.
Calmneasy Miller I was an 11b as well. I called a magazine a clip at the firing range one day and got my add handed to me. ever since then I call it a magazine only. I understand what you're saying, but it's hard for me to wrap my head around it since I got in massive trouble for calling it a clip. I can't speak for rangers though.
A "clip" in the military is 10 rounds of ammo ready for a speed loader. Also known as stripper clip. That is why military people don't like it when you call a mag a clip. Also, nobody asks for a magazine, they say I need some xx cal ammo. And why is there always some spec ops guy in these comments? You may as well say you're god. You have nothing to backup your claim.
Who gives a shit what it's called! Your not on the battlefield soldier! Magazine/clip... call it what you want, they both hold bullets, in the end that is all that matters. Remember these are the streets not the battlefield big difference so who gives a shit what it's called beside you Ex military nuts
Good video. Thanks for making it. May I suggest that you add a couple quick concepts. 1. Always point in a safe direction. 2. Assume that all guns are always loaded. 3. Keep your finger OFF the trigger.
Thank you for showing a beginner in very easy wording,Chill out on the word clip or magazine wording, his directions were very clear. If the wrong word gets you so upset, you shouldn't own a gun.
thank you! I have posted an updated how to use Glock guns video that you may find helpful and useful! Please feel free to check it out on my channel and if you enjoy, like and subscribe!
Man who cares if he said mag or clip,, we all know exactly what he means and is talking about. Damm you tubers, where everybody is a professor. This video was and is very helpful to a beginner using a glock or someone who has just purchased one.

when you load its nice to let the slide slam forward from being pulled all the way to the rear. Dont ride the slide (as in the video)and dont reload from the bolt release If you want to guarantee there will be a fully chambered round
Clips hold cartridges, magazines feed cartridges into the gun. Take an old bolt action rifle from WW2 or WW1, the infantry carried there cartridges in clips and would put them on top of the rifle and push the cartridges down into the magazine that was inside the rifle. That's how people carried cartridges before there were detachable magazines.
At 4:20 when you slide it back do you not slide it back all the way because when I slide mine back all the way it locks automatically and I can't unlock it unless I release the mag
Absolute best video I’ve seen on this great stuff 👍🏼
Glad you enjoyed it
I just bought the Glock 19 today.
I live in Los Angeles, CA so I'm waiting the 10 day period.

Important rule keep the gun pointing away from people when reloading or not loading point the gun all the time and a safe direction.

Just like a cable internet interface is still called a 'modem.' If anyone doesn't know what 'modem' really means, flex your Google muscles.

Another stable genius
Thank you. Found it informative.
Thank you! Very helpful!
2:55 damn dude, NEVER stick your finger inside there, you hit that slide release and BYE BYE finger!
BUDS: The Animated Series for real
omg that would have made this video a favorite on my list
It is a slide “lock”, not a slide “release”.
Ouch
Also a newbie. And yes I strongly recommend taking a firearm safety class. It is well worth it.
Thanks it’s very helpful

thak you I'm new in the gun fiel u video help me a lot
A clip is a piece of metal that holds rounds together for faster loading. Such as for some ww2 rifles.
Is it possible to fire when the slide is pulled back?
Richard Max

Even after checking multiple times there is no bullet in the chamber…. Is it still recommended to pull the trigger just to make sure?
