The 3DS version of Dragon Quest VIII has a rather odd one. Anyone who's played it will remember that there's a sidequest where you can put together a Monster Team and have them compete in the Monster Arena, with you being able to have them fight in the party's place for a short time after clearing a certain rank, plus certain monsters give the team access to special abilities known as "Deathmoves". One team, that involves two monsters instead of three, consists of Goldman (the infamous Gold Golem found at the Isle of Neos) and Jewelbag (the infamous Goodybag found near the Maella Abbey on a small island you can reach once you have the ship). Together, these two form The Treasure Hunters team, and their Deathmove consists of them dealing damage to a single enemy while also stealing gold from them. While this works just fine in the original PS2 version, the 3DS re-release crashes one second after the move finishes for reasons beyond my understanding. Also, in Super Paper Mario, there's one mission in Merlee's Mansion where Mimi tells you which room she thinks Merlee's in (the correct room has a secret passage you need to use to progress if I remember correctly). If you enter a room and leave, for the love of god, do NOT speak to Mimi afterwards. Why? Because after she finishes speaking, the game will crash about two seconds later. It happens because there's an incorrectly placed water tile under that block that let's Kirby use Stone underwater. Normally the game takes away most of Kirby's copy abilities underwater but if you enter water from the side or below the game forgets to do this and it really doesn't like Kirby transforming underwater.
I remember getting a game crash, twice in fact, in star allies, though a different one. Basically, in extra planet alpha, after the mini-boss, there's this area with a low ceiling and semi-solid platforms, I had blizzard staff, did the pole vault move twice, both without charging, positioning myself just at the corner where the ceiling ends, then did the rapid attack that follows from the pole vault move, this caused the ice crystals that usually form to be, like, quadruple their normal size, causing the game to crash. The first time it happened, I was very shocked at the crash (though not as much as the shear size of the ice crystals) but wanted to see if I could replicate it, which I did and, sure enough, crash
Addendum to the Sticker Star one: chuggaaconroy showed that that's only the case in the early releases. Later copies didn't have that glitch. Makes you wonder why they didn't just patch it.
Another glitch you can perform in Paper Mario Sticker star is if you hit a wall that can be knocked over and an enemy at the same time, after the combat, you'll be softlocked.

Normally the game takes away most of Kirby's copy abilities underwater but if you enter water from the side or below the game forgets to do this and it really doesn't like Kirby transforming underwater.
@@metaltornado3457 Yeah, i wonder if this was either patched on the GBA version or not...🤔
Stale Reference Manipulation has always been a thing in Super Mario 64. What's wild is that they *added* a method of doing it.
2:24 Eventually, the game stopped thinking.
That Lucario Black Hole crash was... beautiful.
0:33 *BIG BOOM*
0:36 Wii: *Throws out disc*
I like how people can find the most random ways to break games
My man crashed games during my birthday. Truly a perfect gift
I will say, entering this video to the haunted Coat theme from GBTG caught me off guard. Very interesting video though!
3:09 I was waiting for when that sound would show up.
gooey is so powerful that if an attempt to harm him happens the game just crashes
gooey is gigachad confirmed
7:50 FALCON PU-
And so, he broke the universe untill 3 D and U
Addendum to the Sticker Star one: chuggaaconroy showed that that's only the case in the early releases. Later copies didn't have that glitch.
Makes you wonder why they didn't just patch it.
Yoshi is a monster! He caused 5 of those crashes!
Thank you so much!!! But how do I claim it?
Another glitch you can perform in Paper Mario Sticker star is if you hit a wall that can be knocked over and an enemy at the same time, after the combat, you'll be softlocked.
The rest:Freeze/error screen
SM64DS Yoshi:"Unable to crash even though it wished for it, Super Mario 64 DS eventually stopped thinking."
JoJo reference?!?!
i love how most of these just crash before the character gets damaged
7:13
Yoshi eat mario
YES!!!
I didn't know I could create stages in SSBU until I watched this video!
My man did you just get the game or are you just not looking around in the main menu for game modes?
@@graysonwells21 I didn't expect it being there, that's why I didn't look for it.
@@whitehospitalfairwarning1848 But like, there have been tons of videos covering custom stages, the in-game video share feature, and tons of other content for years now… you haven’t seen any of that until now? I guess it’s like something that I’d expect someone to know about a game before buying it, especially +4 years into the games life. I apologize if I’m coming off as rude, I don’t mean to be that way at all, I just haven’t seen a situation like this before and wanted to get things clear.
The stage builder is fun, but it is not in the most obvious of places if you don't play single player mode much.
I love the “pi pi” sound effect in Metroid’s crash at 6:42
7:13 i have experienced this before, when i had a modded Super Mario World, there was a "Training Room" door in the yoshi's house stage, and going into it crashed the game.
7:01 that only hapens if you touch the flower,BUT if you don't touch the flower, theres a result were you get an item that is a koopa's head,it works like the green orb in the sunkenship level(if you touch it you complete the level),and at bowser's fight it changes into peach's head,it still works tho
That's weird
Its even present in SMM2, back in 2019 only
That’s Super Mario World you’re thinking of. In SMM1 and early versions of SMM2, if you miss and don’t touch both at the same time, you either ride yoshi or collect the fire flower. But if you touch both at the same time, the game crashes with that old Wii crash sound you’ve probably heard a million times before.
0:41 the amount of times I've done this...
“911 What’s your emergency?”
“My game ain’t gaming”
I’m surprised we can’t hear the *EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE* that a few of the older consoles (mostly the Wii) made when they broke down in some of these
It was my favorite part of old console glitches
7:12 😂😂😂
2:54 lol
God, I hate the software closed error screen. Makes me wanna break my console.
"eventually, the game stopped thinking"
JoJo reference?!?!
You forgot that in the zipper room in Lake Kingdom in SMO, if you warp in zipper form immediately after getting the key the game crashes!
Yeah, i found an video about that.
I’ve seen and tried that. I found it a bit amusing.
5:12 Reference to the splatoon franchise where a bowling ball tries to crush the player
that second one was hilarious
The Giratina shiny game crash is why I keep mine in Altered forme for the time being.
What i wanna know if how tf they missed that
I live how mario 64 ds slowly deteriorated into a ticking time bomb
A surprising lack of Paper Mario 64 here. Watching other channels on RUclips has led me to believe that game crashes if you so much as hold the controller incorrectly!
Kirby's adventure glitch looks like a creepypasta moment 💀
1:32
I wonder what's this triangle-shaped grass do?
Dumb ways to crash!
So many dumb ways to crash!
Dumb ways to cra-a-a-ash...
...so many dumb ways to crash!
In Kirby’s Adventure, it’s not stone breaking the rock that crashes the game, it’s the fact that stone is being used underwater, which the game REALLY doesn’t like.
I thought I was the only one who experience the shiny shadow force crash
The bowling ball hitting Gooper Blooper was so timed-
