weekend wankshop 172 is here! in this lesson, Uncle Ben Eller is gonna learn you the official REAL way to play the solo from Bad Wolves cover of Zombie by The Cranberries! I'm even gonna phone a friend and enlist the help of Doc Coyle from BW to help explain the tunings used in the original recording of this song. I'll be showing the solo note for note in D G C F A D tuning.
This is a really nice and fun solo featuring some good legato playing, as well as some super sexy David Gilmour style bends. A nice solo to work on those little details in your playing .

i always use harmonics or play it on a lower octave because i'm tired of snapping my high E lol

Did you get confirmation from Doc on the "4 groups of 4"? Because when slowed way down it sounded like the first group was 4, but the next 3 groups were groups of 3, not 4. Also, it sounds like he picks the notes after that 1st legato group. Thanks for these vids.
