We are playing State of Decay 2 by Undead Labs - the best Zombie Apocalypse Survival game out there. Using fresh rolled characters we dive tackle a mod called "Increase Zombies - Extreme version" by the modder: Hellfire. With 6x more zombie spawns, can we survive the Super Lethal Zone??

Playthrough rules :
- Take first available fresh characters, no re-rolls.
- No boons, no mini-map, no aim snap, no aim assist, no bounty broker, no auto-righting cars, no map marker...basically no artificial advantages
- You can only use radio calls that you earn in game.
- No cheesing (cheesing hearts, standing on car roofs, reversing into juggernauts, enlisting immortal characters etc)
- No Scentblock
- No OP ...so for me that includes Trader Outpost, pyro-launchers, Red Talon recruits (weapons are fine if you can find them), no prestige or unearned radio call ins, no gifts from Undead Labs like the bloodmobile. No Cleo or daybreak items at all unless found in game.
- Try not to go overboard with vehicle kills and dodge spam.

Wow... that overview around 1:05:40 at the heart looked like a zombie movie scene with all the crits there. Really impressive... in order to have fun at playing difficult mods like this I like that mod here better than "No Mans Land", because the hearts do not have that insane amount of hps. I guess I will try it in the future. The only drawback I am seeing when using mods is the possibility of crashes. I used some mods in the past and it was not a pleasent experience in that regard.

I think the newer version of No Mans Land, the hearts have been wound back a bit to 1200 hp...but still yeah, the mods concentrate their difficulty in different ways. No Mans Land is a grind - a battle against the dead and time itself, as resources become scarce. Increased zombie spawns puts constant pressure but the standard hearts means you can still progress but favours a speedy run. I guess NML is more a marathon and extreme is a sprint. :)

I hope in SOD3 Undead Labs will improve the AI of your community members in a big way... so that enlisting a follower for jobs outside the base is worthwhile the time. For now, in SOD2, it is just out of the question, at least playing in lethal. Maybe you can somehow safely enlist a community member in the green zone, and even this is a "maybe" I guess.

I used to use followers all the way up to Nightmare - but it was old nightmare which is probably closer to Dread+ these days. However, around hearts and feral packs etc they quickly get overwhelmed. But would you want AI that's better than you? :)

Have you tried using the outpost bait and defenses to destroy a nearby infestation?

I've never used the bait, but it's true I have overlooked using the infestation radio calls. Good suggestion Llama! 👍😎
