Unlucky MOrpheus is awesome. Jill isalready a lege3nd. What else can you say abot a musician who makes an album the the top shredders showpieces--and totally nails it. On point about Malmsteen is he is a fan of Paganini. A violin virtuoso. So Jill playing fit the soeg supurbly. Thanks for posting. And of course Jill and the band cand deliver it all live.
As much as I am a fan of Yngwie, the more I listen to this arrangement with the violin taking the lead guitar parts (Yngwie) and the electric guitar performing the keyboard parts (Jens), the more I find it actually sounds more like it was meant to be this way. The timbres now seem corrected to the instruments they are best suited to. Of course, Yngwie with the Japanese Philharmonic also kills it. I kind of wish Yngwie would pursue working with an orchestra more. I sincerely believe he has a lot more to offer in that context than continuing in a rock context.
It makes sense if you think about it ... Yngwie was inspired by Paganini, who was arguably the GOAT violin composer. Taking this piece back to a violin lead is just going full circle.

Yngwie rhythm work is so underappreciated. Obviously everybody focuses on his lead playing, but his rhythm sections are just as good. A lot of movements and in between chords instead of the just Em Am D bullshit.
New subscriber here. As a Huge fan of all 2+ bands represented on your channel I'm happy I found some of these recordings. I was especially happy to find this one. I knew there was a Quadratum 'Live', but I had no idea any of it was recorded. Is it still possible to procure - or a least find the recordings of the Live version of the Quadratum Project?
At present, I only have other Quadratum tracks from the same performance, all of which are videos. However, I do not plan to upload all of them. Recording at a concert in Japan is actually illegal, and uploading them carries certain risks. It would be very troublesome to have stricter control over the audience watching the concert in the future. I am not Japanese either. Some recordings were obtained through other means, mainly to supplement official unreleased concerts.
Thanks a lot for the reply. I totally understand. I also know that Shiren in particular can be quite aggressive at protecting their catalogue. I'll enjoy the ones you have up that I haven't seen before. As a 60yr musician I have fallen in love with the Japanese music community, and many of my favorites of all time are Japanese bands - from MTH to Lovebites :0)

この夜の演奏のすばらしさと凄さは忘れる事のできないものでした。
吉祥寺の小さなライブハウスでしたが、身近なところで見る4人の演奏の迫力と熱気に圧倒された事を良く覚えています。最初で最後のQUADRATUMプロジェクトの演奏披露とのお話でしたが、あまりにも素晴らしすぎて惜しい気がした事を覚えています。四人の技術の高さと音楽に賭ける情熱、そしてセンスと音感覚のすばらしさに打たれました。
何かの機会にまた披露してもらいたいものです。
ライブあったら行きたいです！

イングウェイが如何にクラシック畑のミュージシャンなのか、そしてヴァイオリンのサウンドが如何にディストーションなのかがよく解る。ヘヴィメタルとクラシックの親和性が非常に高いわけだよな。特にインギーは交響曲のオーケストラ譜面を安々と書ける才能もある訳だし。
実際に採譜してオーケストレーションしたのはデヴィット・ローゼンサルだよ。
