We had a storm like that in Iowa, 130ish mph winds on August 10th. We are still cleaning up the aftermath and the amount of houses that still need to be fixed. Prayers to all affected.
Larry Foxen i was lookin to see if anyone would say something about Iowa, didn’t know LFGs time frame, could have been the same storm that wiped us out.
I work for a roofing company in Idaho, went to Utah SLC area a couple days after this storm. 112 mph winds ripped roofs off of brand new homes. Huge trees exploded all over the place. Nasty winds glad you guys came down off the mountain!
Just watched the Lake life Family. Camping video. Emmy fishing was adorable. Wish they would turn on the comments for that channel. Keep up the great work Justin. My son and I enjoy watching your channels.
I just watched y’all’s family video and comments are disabled and I think I understand why because people can be ugly sometimes but I want you to know that you have a beautiful family and Steph was born to be your wife and to be the mother of your children. y’all are beautiful. God bless!
They have actually have talked about that, and dont know why the comments disabled. But ya they are a model family. Not one bad thing you can say about em.
Interesting. Casey got born and raised started in you tube also. Very great back story with you and Casey. Get we done. Time is running out, and if not like you said you have learned a lot, ant the brotherhood had to be above and beyond what got shown. God bless you all.
WOW he's that far behind on getting videos out. So they came off the mountain on labor day, it stormed it's ass off and went from 104 heat indice to down into the thirty's by Tues morning. Casey said on thur he was headed to go hunt with his son on Sat morning the 12. September came in like Lion!
Seth Vaughn not usually this one was crazy though. We hit around 115 mph in salt lake it did an insane amount of damage trees everywhere, smashed cars, smashed houses the power was out for almost 2 weeks in some spots. It reminded me of the tornado we had in I think 98 it’s been a crazy year for sure.
Justin, Just watching your Family camping video [sucks that comments are STILL off ] and something you can try if you need to use the Coleman stove to Bake again, is to heat up the frying pan and use it as the lid for the Dutch oven, occasionally take it off and reheat on other burner. Also, to heat the icing, boil some water and put the bag in there. (Then use the hot water for cleanup lol)
I was at 11000 ft when it hit, I dropped the little camp and ran., have a cabin at 8300 where we had 2ft. Hunters were coming in at the same time. They were snow bound for three days, most left when it cleared. Been hunting elk for 29yrs so you see a lot in the Rockies. Better always be prepared for the worst. Good luck
I remember this storm from a couple weeks ago. It came through utah just as harsh. Winds recorded at 112 mph it was gnarly. Yall made the right decision to get off the mountain.
LFG, you're right about telling others "It can be done" My brother went out on a public land elk hunt in Colorado and killed a nice 6 x 6. We were born and raised in Florida, and neither of us has ever been hunting past the state of Alabama. So for him to go out on public land in Colorado and take a nice 6 x 6 on day 2 of a 4-day hunt means it can be done. The truth is there's a lot of luck behind it because there have to be elk in the area you choose to hunt, ON the days you're able to hunt, and that's where the luck comes in.
Looks like the wind we had like 3 weeks ago when Hurricane Laura came for an unwelcome visit. There are still areas that don’t have electricity and other services. Lake Charles will be 6-12 months getting power. They were decimated by Laura!! Will have to completely rebuild the electrical grid system!! Many have no homes to go back to. We are in Central Louisiana (Alexandria/Pineville) and our cities lost everything including water and sewer systems. A total mess but clean up has started and will last until all the debris is all collected. Stay safe and glad you guys got off the mountain before it hit!! It would have been so bad for all of you if those winds, etc had hit while still up there.
Dude, I'm Lovin this Colorado Elk Hunt Series. That storm was Crazy, it looked to me like alot of those trees didn't have very deep root systems?! A lil Flex Seal in that damaged area, should keep the weather out of the trailer untill they get home & have it repaired properly. Best Wishes for A Big ole Bull Justin!!!
There's alot of elk in Estes park golf golf course so they should be close to rut for sure was strange cold front in loveland co yesterday but the wind didn't blow that strong God speed
That was basically like a strong tropical storm or maybe even a CAT 1 Hurricane in the mountains, minus the massive amounts of rain that come with tropical systems.
That's intense, hope those guys were ok. I had my tent destroyed in a wind storm once, I had to lay out in the open next to a berm, away from trees, and put rocks in my sleeping bag so I didn't lose it. Fortunately it wasn't raining or cold so I still got some sleep.
Lol love you brother i forgot to mention when you hunt with born and raised get ready for some boots on the ground and some miles. Keep it up and good luck
If this was the beginning of the month, here and Utah got hit super hard. About 25 18 wheelers were flipped on the highway, monster trees uprooted. It was pretty nuts
Ya it hit hard here. We are in midvale and luckily didn’t get much of the wind. The storm hit and caused a lot of damage starting about 3-4 blocks from our house. I feel bad for the people living in the SLC area there were so many cars and houses destroyed. This year has been a tough one for a lot of people with the virus, fires, earthquakes and that wind storm I hope things are a bit easier next year.
Been a tough dangle so far, but Jim Carrey would be like "so you're telling me there's still a chance" . If they didn't blow away, they must've blown closer, good grief. Good luck LFG!!
I would love to hunt Elk myself never to old . I will be 61 in January but can still hump it up a mountain and through rough forest land. I think the part that would be my biggest obstacle is the altitude. Here in the North Carolina Mountains. 6200 ft. is maximum elevation...
If you get serious about going to the mountains you can always hike your local hills with a mask for training... you’ll look like a COVID paranoid nut out in the hills with a mask, but ya gotta do what ya gotta do
The Born & Raised guys are the most sharing and friendly guys on the internet. I'm glad you got to spend some time with them! Good Luck!!! w.w./OK
Glad you guys paid attention to the weather. I've had to rescue people in the mountains of Montana; it's not pretty or safe. Good work fellas.
Ya the winds were nuts! My hunting area is all downed trees. Luckily my house mad it mostly ok.
Hey! Where is this?
As an eagle I was laughing at the merit badge portion 😂

Got to love them Colorado snow storms. I worked in the bomb cyclone last year.. 100mph winds 👍🤭🤣
Driving home in that was crazy! That was such a bizarre storm.
Interesting. Casey got born and raised started in you tube also. Very great back story with you and Casey. Get we done. Time is running out, and if not like you said you have learned a lot, ant the brotherhood had to be above and beyond what got shown. God bless you all.
Love the hush crew. I’ve watched Casey and his family since day 1
I enjoyed the guys helping Rob (Lunkers) get his Bull last year.
Definitely trout fish with him I love the fly fishing trout videos!!
Lmao I remember that... 2 weeks ago winds got up to 112 mph here in Utah and lasted for about 10 hours.
So y’all have mountain hurricanes lol
WOW he's that far behind on getting videos out. So they came off the mountain on labor day, it stormed it's ass off and went from 104 heat indice to down into the thirty's by Tues morning. Casey said on thur he was headed to go hunt with his son on Sat morning the 12. September came in like Lion!
Seth Vaughn yep, we usually have one every 5 years.

Welcome to colorful Colorado where the weather goes from 0-100 real quick

The Hushin and Born and raised guys are awesome
I hope those hunters that were heading in are safe. prayers out to those folks
Holy Moly! Definitely a strong breeze out there! 😂
Watching the lake life family makes you realize how many days ago this was actually filmed
I was at 11000 ft when it hit, I dropped the little camp and ran., have a cabin at 8300 where we had 2ft. Hunters were coming in at the same time. Philmont Scout Ranch, Cimmaron, NM, 9 Days, 52 miles, with nothing but packs on our backs. One day above 12,000 elev above tree line... I was 15.
I remember this storm from a couple weeks ago. It came through utah just as harsh. Winds recorded at 112 mph it was gnarly. Yall made the right decision to get off the mountain.
Hilleberg tent....no sweat!!
I’ve never wanted someone to accomplish something so badly as LFG getting an elk on this hunt.

That was basically like a strong tropical storm or maybe even a CAT 1 Hurricane in the mountains, minus the massive amounts of rain that come with tropical systems.
Reminds me of my own state good ole ,Kansas.
2020, can we just get past it? Thanks as usual. God bless you and your family!
I love your videos Justin! You rock!
For the trailer repair you could get a piece of sheet metal bend it at a 90° angle and drill it in for a temporary waterproof fix.
That wind is called a great day of duck hunting lol. I’m ready
You can tell it’s an aspen because of the way it is!!!
Check out the crystola roadhouse on hwy 24 if your in the woodland park area of Colorado. Good Hamburgers
You and @hushin need to go bass fishing and mule deer hunting both!! 🦌🐟
wow crazy wind
Spray foam the trailer and trim the top flat and flex seal 👌🏽

Getter done guys I know you can.🦌

Take a lil of that back to Texas with ya!!! Googan Squad should check in on Dr Lee. He’s got a pig problem on his ranch.
There is no full cure. They reproduce way too fast
Living in Colorado these storms come out of nowhere it can be sunny and warm and in the next 30 minutes it could be snowing
looks like the baby version of the one we just had in iowa
For the lake life family channel, they do make a camp stove that also has an oven
Boy do I love living here in Colorado but ya... the weather gets crazy up here in the mountains!
Does it still count if the tree killed your elk instead of the arrow?
Born n raised are probabally pissed at you lfg
We had the same experience during this storm but with more snow! Some guys were headed into the mountain as we got off.
Damn man...that's some brutal storm aftermath. I could only imagine if those guys decided to "tough it out".... really enjoyed this series though!
Lol love you brother i forgot to mention when you hunt with born and raised get ready for some boots on the ground and some miles. Keep it up and good luck
Fall is finally here boys!
It’s the same way up here in north Texas. Windy currently
Who else loves lake fork guy
⬇️
Ocean Spoon Girl!
Lol, I went to the Air Force Academy, it’s in the foothills of the Rockys and that’s a bi weekly occurrence
That storm destroyed a lot here in Utah. 1000’s of trees down. People in my neighborhood didn’t have power 5-6 days.
I remember this storm he was right around my area! The trails were all hidden by downed trees
That's wild
Welcome to the Rockies! get up in there for late season ELK RIFLE.. it will send home the boys
Awesome awesome video though man I love to see you switch it up
Come to new mexico, the weather is not as erratic and we have quality elk!!
Glad everyone is okay! 👌🏽
this wind storm ripped through Missouri as well, had wife spread damage south of Kansas city
If this was the beginning of the month, here and Utah got hit super hard. About 25 18 wheelers were flipped on the highway, monster trees uprooted. It was pretty nuts
That weather system is terrifying! Daggum is right!

Stay safe hope you can still get an elk
You don’t get down off a mountain, you get down off a duck!! 🤣😂🤣
Got to get one
That same storm hit us in northern utah still cleaning up.
Ya it hit hard here. We are in midvale and luckily didn’t get much of the wind. The storm hit and caused a lot of damage starting about 3-4 blocks from our house. Better watch out I think I saw Cantore in background. He is chasing those mountain hurricanes
Be safe👍👍
The thumbnail is great
You are the best you tuber
Love these types of vids!!
Been a tough dangle so far, but Jim Carrey would be like "so you're telling me there's still a chance" . If they didn't blow away, they must've blown closer, good grief. Good luck LFG!!
wow!!!
Never heard Justin say fucking before on RUclips lmao 6:46 lmao
I believe the microphone was picking up a little wind noise.
Public hunts, 1000000% more challenging than zoo hunts.
Trout and bow mulley hunt
I would love to hunt Elk myself never to old . I will be 61 in January but can still hump it up a mountain and through rough forest land. I think the part that would be my biggest obstacle is the altitude. Here in the North Carolina Mountains. 6200 ft. is maximum elevation...
