Belief was my soundtrack of the 90's...
Met Bon 2008 @ Popcom in Berlin (travelled from Aus to see them) and was not disappointed....
After the show I talked tech with Bon. I can't say enough how nice a guy he was.

Thank you guys for posting this. These guys were a big part of my childhood in the 80s. It seems for me the best music from that decade came out of England and was heavily synth based. ;)

Hey Mike, glad you enjoyed it!! Bon is a great guy and an incredible musician. Btw, this Friday at Noon PST we're doing a live show with Bon and Douglas (from Nitzer Ebb) as part of a new group they are both in called Black Line with some other great synth artists. It's interactive so if you have any questions you want to ask these guys, please bring them!! Hope you can make it! ruclips.net/video/M0GY7t3pI2U/видео.html

He is, really? One of the things I loved about him during the concerts I went to, he had so much energy and actually looked quite scary. But off stage he was an intelligent, funny, down to earth "normal" guy!

Mike Blackwell he's totally down to earth. Obviously we don't see him much because he lives in America but he's coming over for 3 months soon, just to see the family. I can't wait

Love NE, I remember seeing them for the first time in 88, I was struck by the pure raw energy of there performance, great video upload of the man himself Mr Harris, you don't see many interviews with NE, so this was most enjoyable & insightful. 👍

I am still trying to find out what they used for that massive roaring synth sound in getting closer.

    «Kid in a candy store» ;-) Didn't they start with a SH-101 and a DX-7 for synth bass lines?

It blows my mind a tiny bit still that a band like Nitzer Ebb are from my little town (now city), a wasteland for creative and exciting music as much then as it still is now. If he came into Future Music on Baddow Road much, I'd have probably served him.

To me, the bassline of Without Belief is the quintessential bassline in synth world.I still can’t, for the life of me, figure out how it was done.Layered probably but that’s as far as i can go...

Nitzer Ebb was a constant source of inspiration from the early eighties unto the 90s. EBM was the term but they were a step beyond them. Thank you Bon Harris and Douglas McCarthy for the inspiration. I still play the synths like Bon did. Nobody made the fans pogo like they did.

A direct result of buying That Total Age in the 80s
Still just kicks ass all over the place.

Ebb opened a door that was otherwise unknown
Thanks to that friend in highschool that said try skating to this
    Addicted instantly.
After came Skinny and FLA and so many more.
Working in an industrial club in the 80s/90s with "heightened" senses , we were able to listen and dance louder than the law allowed.
Strategically placed across from an airport in an old two story hanger.
Thanks to Bon and countless others in electronic that have provided decades of artful chaos in the machines.

It's kind of funny, and very fitting, that Flood doesn't always recall the number version of the Roland modular rig he bought, but Bon does.
