I noticed you just reviewed the Q50 couple weeks ago. In term of just road noise, ride quality and refinement, is the Passat better or the Q50? Handling, sportiness or acceleration is not part of my criteria. Thanks in advance and keep the great videos coming 👍
I'm obviously not the reviewer but I hope I can provide you insight. I do not own, but I've driven in both vehicles (and do own a VW), and in my experience the Q50 was quieter at highway speeds but did not notice a big difference in ride quality. The VW rode very nicely for what it was (mind you, the Q50 is a luxury vehicle, the Passat is not).
In terms of refinement, ride quality and road noise, I would say the Q50 is a bit better. The Passat is very good as well, but I feel like the Q50 is more of a luxury experience when compared to the Passat. Hope this helps!
I have a 2021 Passat. The car has run flawlessly and it’s a great road trip car. My only grip is the engine noise from a stop. It’s almost sounds like a diesel. It’s annoying
