For all those in Singapore who are not likely to get PR in Singapore and don;t wish to go back to their original country then .. do consider applying for point based SKilled migration PR in ANZ or Canada,, Great point is you DON'T NEED A JOB OFFER ... Initially you may find ANZ not as dynamic as Singapore but these are horses of long term races... so do consider it.. Singapore PR is great too but it seems it is very hard to get.

Soumy you should correct your expenses figure- one will get a 3 bedder Condo (very far city) 1100 sqft for not less than 4200 SGD + agency fee of 4.2K if you are renting for 2 years. Foreigners cant put their kids in local school if you have one kid consider 2K pm for schooling. If kids have dance, Music class consider 300 SGD pm/activity. If you eat normal home cooked food it will take about 1500 SGD pm for a family of 4. Electricity bill 300, Phone 300. If your company don't cover medical insurance, god help you. Normal GP visit is 40-50, Specialist in private hospitals will cost you 250 per consultation. Buying a car is out of question, if you need, be ready to shell out 100K for COE, + cost of car. So think hard before you decide to move.

@@InsiderGyaan Soumy i have been living here for last 12 years. I never had to pay agency fee. Off-late landloards agents dont respond to your queries. You have to appoint agent and they will hunt for you. Ofcourse as you know there are PROFILE PREFRENCES for Owners, even if you are ready to pay some dont like Indians. Everything is increasing except the salaries.

Her version is correct but up to some extent only , but to live a reasonable well life in Singapore you will require a minimum household income of $6000-8000/person /month and around $2000-3000/kid /month
For Indians it will be very difficult to get jobs unless you are getting direct job or offer letters from MNC , Visa etc too much restricted and too much conditioned as well
to keep your family in Singapore and get visa for them still depends upon your income level etc (unless you are resident and citizen)
No Doubt Singapore is very good place to live or work but only for those who are at least managerial level or above to that only (holding and retailing such jobs is very terrible challenge in Singapore as well , unless you are very good/super performer )

Rentals have sky-rocketed recently. A decent sized condo for a family could be around 6k/month (with 2 months deposit). Luxury types will be even more costly. Please brace yourself for no savings mode for the initial months unless you are earning very well. With a normal income, either you can choose between leading a quality life with no or minimal savings and a very minimalistic life (forget abt eating out/owning a car/helper/extra-curricular for kids/other luxuries etc which comes so cheap in other countries). Many people come here on expat package where the rental, kid's school fees etc are covered by the company. For others it won't be easy to find affordable schooling as it is almost impossible for foreigners to get into local schools. The only option is international schools and you need a budget of min 3-3.5k per month per child. You need to consider many factors before moving here if you are bringing the whole family. For a 3 member family, the minimum monthly expenditure would be around $12k/month if we opt for condo living/international school/extra-curricular activities/taxi/occasional eating out etc..

SG is not a cheap place to live in. but your lifestyle can and should always be managed within the means - strong believer of the 50-30-20 rule. 50% for necessities, 30% for other expenses 20% for savings.

@@InsiderGyaan Agree, live a very humble life to save money in SG :-) medical bills will eat up the savings too :-) Been here for more than 13 yrs and seen it all. Those who are planning to move here, please research properly on how much approximately u need to spend out of your own pockets every month and then decide accordingly...Don't jump into conclusions based on what you see on RUclips.

Most likely he/she will not get a direct job in Singapore, unless hired directly by MNC,
Finance sectors job will be very much suitable for IIM Graduates , but prior to get that directly in Singapore it will be much more wiser for person that he do a job at least for 3-4 years in India/or in his /her native country and become capable to capture and hold at least lower managerial position in Singapore, that would only would be best fit for him or her only

A little on lower side, but really depends on your lifestyle - like living far from the center, no helper etc.
