people complaining about drying shit but never been a dish washer dont realize you dont always got time to dry shit when you're getting slammed with piles of dishes
Facts bro, I always dry the plates majority of the time but on those really busy nights with several functions on you don't get a chance to dry all the plates it's mental.
I was working in hotel as a kitchen porter back in 2019 in September before COVID 19 and it was harder than it looked, pots and plates coming left and right floors needing to be mopped and certain parts of the kitchen need cleaning including the fridges and sinks, the work was hard but the pay was worth it.
When you say the pay is worth it, you mean worth it compared to being unemployed, right? Because there's no way you could consider minimum wage "good pay".
I am a KP for only two years. Almost on my second year. But doing to add to my CV and get paid little bit of money while in college fill time ict course. Then after university. I hate being a KP lol. But I guess it's worth it.
It is not from the soap. It is from having your handd in contact with moisture for too long even when you are wearing gloves moisture seeps in and removes the protective layer of your skin revealing the itchy sensitive part of it.
Had an ecoloab machine like that at a casino I worked at and it was the biggest pile of crap ever. You had to make sure everything was sprayed off and it was new.
The most sad in mi kitchen porter role is when i see a seek food waste strenght to a been untouched food go wasting from the oven or pan and customer ho first filling her stomage whith a beers a tausen kilograms of fresh food go to the rubbish
😂😂 your try be a kitchen porter sonny Jim isn’t as easy as you think being on your feet for 13 hours having piles of plates etc thrown at you and also at mine you have to prep food
Whitewinter06 The one I saw was the guy carrying the cups and placing his palms at the mouth of the two bottom cups. He should have put them in the tray, it's cleaner.
+Java408 are you a kitchen hand? Because i am and i know that what he did isnt a health violation, what your saying is just paranoia or just an excuse to think that your right about something.
He's right. If we (dishwashers) had to worry about not touching the mouth ends of cups, top sides of plates, or insides of bowl, it would be very hard to carry the dishes and it would slow us down. I personally keep my hands clean on the job so that I can do this. I'm not gonna speak for the guy in the video but I would hope he does the same.
I started as a KP yesterday, today I quit. Fuck that job, greatest respect to those that stick at it. It's not easy at all.
I've been doing it for 3 days know
Three years
Update I've been doing it for a month and 3

Back then... I created this video out of poops and giggles. How the fudge did this become so popular over time?
Because KPs unite together

I agree the pay is good but the work is hard.. Im a Dishwasher
For me, I believe Irish minimum wage for a kitchen Porter is bullshit
@@Kbooty46 Wow, I’ve never had a conversation with a dishwasher. What make are you?

@@caitthenerd7470as in its worth it because of money mainly
A porter is someone who collects the plates and BRINGS them to the dishwasher.

This video gave me ptsd
The lexans are not to be touching the garbage can. I hope that this restaurant was written up for health code violations
Lol, the cups.
Pans went straight from the sink to the shelves though, gotta dry them first bruh.
Yeah, I learned to stand the pans aside to dry before putting them away now.
Talk to the plates!
Are you aloud to eat the leftover food?
What from the customers plates ahaha disgusting
@@thegingerninjagames4233 Someone I work with does that, I could gag watching him do it
Why not just run the pans through the dishmachine? That's how I've always done it.
In the three sink method, is it not necessary to dry the pans? Won't they rust?
Nope. Like all kitchen equipment, they're stainless steel.
He stuck the v sign up, that's not professional really, attitude is important as well.
I see wet nesting going on....not good
Yeah and the inspectors did catch us on that. Since then I learned to set the pans up to dry before putting them away.

+BittyFromATitty Its too many and too buy to dry everything by hand so it can air dry without more hands.
The plates are so hot after coming out of the dishwasher that they're bone-dry in under a minute.
