Emongg, this type of video was SO well done. If it’s sustainable, it’s a GREAT middle ground between watching someone like flats for his general casual approach, and KarQ with his in depth numbers and demonstrations and stuff. Especially considering he splits it between two channels. GREAT JOB!!

Mercy players were not asking for that buff at all. We all know what's going to happen. They'll determine it's too powerful and revert it back. It's the same thing they've done since Overwatch 2 was released.

Kinda sad about the Kiriko change. I really like the unique headshot multiplayer and how it incentivizes headshots but keeps her in check against shields and ball
In the play test, Juno's healing and damage was good. Not surprised, with the rate of fire. Agree, pretty much a nerf from playtest, but will be a good character. Probably, one of those things were later it goes up to 30.
Loved this!! Thank you for this, really made it easier for me for changes to look out for. I can't believe they buffed my 3 favs (Zarya, Hanzo lol, Mercy). I'm excited for this season
Loved this. I definitely loved the editing on this. It really felt like a good comprehensive and high quality video rather than just, as you said, reading off the screen.
DVA and monkey should get nerfs to their armor while DVA should also get a damage nerf as well. These hyper mobile tanks are too oppressive, especially if they are nearly unkillable and do even more detrimental damage to the 225hp hero category
I really appreciated this video! While I read the patch notes myself anyways, it's really helpful for me to see someone with more game experience break everything down. It was also really well edited so that things were clear and concise and comprehensive. Well done! If I may say, since you mentioned you are looking for suggestions, I, personally, would appreciate a more in-depth explanation into each note as you go through them, because I'm kind of a dummy and can't decipher some things most of the time. And you do a really good job at that for some points already, I just would like to see it more for everything. I'm not a youngin by any means, but a lot of specific Overwatch jargon can be difficult for me to comprehend, so a sort of, "layman's terms" breakdown would be really helpful, especially paired with examples of what I would expect from the specific update. Again, you do a really good job of this when you do it, i.e. when you say things like, "what that means is your gameplay will look like this now, instead of this", or, "the ability will do this against this now", or "when this happens, you'll be able to do this", etc. The examples of how it would look in-game are really helpful for me to imagine and comprehend the note, especially when it's worded strangely in the patch note to begin with. An example of this is that Illari buff of the projectile collision being reduced; when I saw you read that on stream, my brain just melted, trying to decipher that; I'm convinced that I would never, ever have understood it for the rest of my Overwatch days, until you explained it. I just wonder if you'd be willing to do it for everything. Normally I wouldn't comment because I know no one listens to or sees me anyway, and I'd have been fine living with my idiocy alone, but I thought it might be okay to mention this, because for you, specifically, I think it could be beneficial to adapt this greater in-depth style; you're already good at it when you do it for certain things, but also, from what I've gathered in the small amount of time I've watched you, you seem to be one of the more family-friendly streamers/content creators of this game, maybe not by intention, but just naturally (which I think is even better), and so I think a lot of new players/younger viewers would benefit greatly from a more in-depth, yet comprehensible take on the big silly words that isn't riddled with expletives or aggressively toned, and may gravitate towards you more. On the other hand, maybe I'm the only one struggling with this, and you can just ignore me, haha. Secondly, after you explain/read the patch note, I really like when you give your own opinions on it. I find you to be a very intelligent individual, in that while I know you sometimes say you're biased to Tank notes as a Tank main, I think you do an absolutely amazing-and quite frankly, unbelievable-job of seeing everything from EVERY perspective, whether it's understanding the frustrations of support mains, acknowledging the limitations or specific playstyles of console games, giving copious amounts of grace to brand new players who are still learning Overwatch's incredibly specific and overwhelming and convoluted mechanics in all its glory, or even remaining judgment-free for lower ranks seeking to improve but just don't know where to start (definitely not my category nosiree bob, I'm definitely the best at this game; 'Hardstuck-Silver-Please-Help-Me' is the new slang for 'Top 500 Champion Master Thingy' right? I think I heard that somewhere. Yeah I definitely heard that somewhere), you do an amazing job of seeing everything from every angle to give the best possible advice, and so I value and respect your opinion more than most about this game. You understand this game and practically (and possibly, entirely) every aspect of it so well, but you also SOMEHOW manage to remain lighthearted about it from what I've seen, while others love nothing more than to hate on and complain about every little thing; I'm certainly guilty of that as well, and I'm not saying it's bad to discuss when things seem off, it's just when people try to make content specifically off of hating something that I have a problem with it; meanwhile, you always seem able to express all your joys AND gripes with the game with the utmost respect and professionalism, and THAT'S what makes me trust your opinions the most. So, it'd be cool to hear your opinions and insights more about each update after you read them off too. It not only helps me understand the game more, but it also makes me think about certain aspects of the game I wouldn't normally think of. Plus it's fun! Lastly, another thing I've noticed, especially in your spectating videos, is that your microphone seems to be really finely tuned, to the point that if you so much as turn your head the slightest bit away to look at chat or something, it becomes very difficult to hear you, and since I watch your spectating series A LOT to try to learn more about how to Overwatch, it's very disheartening when I can't quite make out the great advice you're giving, just because you looked away for a second, so if I could suggest, maybe tune your mic a bit, if at all possible, to be a little more lenient to your movement, or speak directly into it a bit more specifically when you're giving advice. There are times I have to turn my speakers all the way up to hear you, and then you'll do that thing where you sit back and pull the mic right up to your mouth to drive your point across (love this, by the way, always makes me laugh), and it's too loud and it blows my speakers out and bursts my eardrums and sets off car alarms and shakes the ground beneath my feet and breaks glass and dogs start barking outside and I die (I'm exaggerating, obviously, but you get it). It's hilarious, don't get me wrong, but I kind of like my ears, I use those to hear things with! If these aren't the types of suggestions you're looking for, I apologize. I mean no offense; I genuinely and thoroughly enjoy your content. People may tell me, "if you're looking for something else, go watch someone else", and I get that, but I don't want to! I really appreciate and enjoy your vibe much more! I don't know how, but you know the perfect way to explain things that makes them click in my brain, and I don't want to have to search for a new person (or people, because sometimes it takes more than one explanation for something to click for me, and it's as frustrating for me as it is for anyone trying to talk to me) to do that when I already enjoy your content! :) If none of this is something you are able to or are willing to adjust, I completely understand, and you can ignore me and I'll shut up now. Still love your videos and content as always! Keep up the good work! And I hope you ALSO have an amazing day/night! ❤
I know a lot of casual players like this video format, but I prefer actually seeing the patch notes on screen, you get to see more information and there is less room for mistakes to be made.
Something that is not mentioned with lifeweaver, his healing charge is SAVED even after swapping to damage. This means you can charge up a heal but then realize you dont need it and later still have that charge without waiting for the passive charge.
I liked the way this video was done, but I will say I miss seeing live reactions on stream. I personally like the extreme reactions or sarcasm used but I can agree with others here that this video style is different than other creators. I watched Flats’ video before this and was actually relieved that I didn’t have to watch another long video, so I think you hit the nail on the head with this one. Look forward to seeing more formats like this!
i loved this editing style, i noticed right off the bat that you changed it up, i think its a good way to keep the eyes entertained and you get a closer view of the wrods in case you didnt quiet hear what you said. this was awesome
I love love LOVE this format, like you said at the end, I think you did a really good job at making this really understandable and not just "I can read this" Also the editing is absolutely top notch
So instead of just nerfing healing (and damage and everything else that has been powercrept to breakpoints), we added the DPS passive to the game and are now buffing supports. When Overwatch 1 launched, Mercy had just 45 HPS and was a MAIN HEALER, and somehow that worked just fine. Now she's getting 60 HPS and is an off healer. This is utterly ridiculous.
Sorry thw main healer idea still applies to thw characters with lower healing like brig and lucio Kinda sounds like your not actually confident on what main healer means
love the logic of wanting to reduce junkrats spam even though the reason he got way more spammy was because they fucked up his entire playstyle with season 9. these devs are so fucking stupid.
The structure of your vids is nice, easy to digest information and good thoughts and opinions on what's being done and why. Earned a follower even if I'm only slightly into overwatch now 😅👍🏽💪🏽
Love this video's formatting! Don't get me wrong, I'll sit here and just watch emongg via stream read off the patch notes and still get the same enjoyment, but this video definitely felt more professional and sleek.
WHY?!!! WHY DO THEY GOTTA CHANGE ORISA EVERY GODDAMN PATCH? AND WHY IS IT ALMOST ALWAYS A BUFF?! Hanzo didn't need a nerf but it's always a welcome change, loved all other changes really good patch
Players: “We’re tired of flying heroes.” Devs: “Ahh so you want to play against Sombra! We got you!” (At some point the devs will pretend they like us.) Great editing on this video tho, definitely top tier! Love the style.
came for the "alright so" but was surpised by the production value, shoutout to whoever edited this vid they did great Edit: oh man that junk change is gonna make waves in the metal ranks, a junk that can kind of spam well in those ranks just rolls but now they'll have less hits. Also as a moira otp all these health reductions sound... very nice lol. Grasp just got better at getting picks lol. thanks for the vid
ew sombra buffs i genuinely felt better playing against old sombra, she felt a lot more difficult to play and they rarely got as many kills as they do now while STILL turning abilities off, its purely annoying
I just kind wish that you put a screen on the end of each character with a short overview of the buffs and nerfs if they have multiple things buffed or nerfed.
Dva nerf is way too small and she will still be op pre nerfing hanzos health due to 1shot potential increasing, but not tracers to 150 is crazy No ashe nerf!? Dmg boost and healing buff but health nerf on a hero who literally doesn't need to peek the enemies a single time doesn't compensate, it is just gonna be simply way too strong with ashe especially No bap nerfs!? Tiniest, most miniscule illari nerf, with still a compensating qol buff Random, meaningless changes to junkrat, and kiriko In general nerfing mobility heroes in the ultimate poke meta is bonkers, I genuinely haven't been actually demoralised by reading a patch note ever. The meta literally won't change (ranked anyway) and will have gotten even more oppressive and strong. Dva, ashe, tracer, bap, illari. Maybe even mercy now which will be so much fun to go against, I can't wait for dmg boosted dynamite. No reason for bap, illari, ashe, cree etc to not also have their health pools lowered
Sombra buff, damage boost and heal buff, support creep in general. Yeah they had some good ideas but I think they did all their testing in a vacuum since this will for sure just cause both supports and dps to start exploding and will just make the hate towards mercy higher since she’s annoying to begin with but now she can actually be a threat. They should honestly just find a work-around for mercy and kiriko since they suffer the mauga problem of just having the worst kits that remain annoying even when they’re not good. shooting and reload speed boost would be more healthy since break points dont change and still relies of allies to hit their shots more consistently and either make kiri have 200hp or rework her kit abit so it isnt god awful to use or fight against. Great changes to most of the fast but they werent really in urgent need of changes, a step forward but I wanna hear the devs just mention some of these problem heros that exist in every role like mauga, hog, mei, sombra, illari, bap, kiri, mercy and zen. Not saying they’re all strong but they’re super unhealthy for the game and the game genuinely feels better when these heros arent meta
as someone who's been playing 6v6 tf2 for a while now i am honestly very excited for clash, if blizzard executes it properly i can see it becoming the best gamemode

Lifeweaver finally getting what he deserves. 😭😭😭
Amazing changes. The dash nerf doesn’t even matter.
Amazing edit emongg!
i loved this editing style, i noticed right off the bat that you changed it up, i think its a good way to keep the eyes entertained and you get a closer view of the wrods in case you didnt quiet hear what you said. this was awesome
The editing was very clean ! Keep it up ! ❤
high quality vid! keep it up :)
Editing is good. Video is succinct. Keep the format.
whoever thought sombra needed a buff needs to be fired
This video was really well put together
Loved this format for new season changes. Very well done!
That video was great! I would definitely watch your patch notes videos over anyone else’s if they all are like that one!
The visuals go hard
I love love LOVE this format, like you said at the end, I think you did a really good job at making this really understandable and not just "I can read this"
Also the editing is absolutely top notch
I love the way you did this patch update video. Kinda wanna see this editing style every time for patch notes.
feel like whoever edited was having fun with this one
Got this video out before I even updated 😂
I think LW needs to be able to swap from attacking to healing and vice versa faster. More like Moria who is almost instant.
HANZO PLAYERS STAND UP 🗣️🏹🐉
S tier editing holy
i think the size changes after the 2nd bounce, not the 1st, can anyone confirm?
The presentation of this video is MUCH better than when you'd just have the notes open and read them to chat lol. MUCH BETTER. well done.
nah that juno nerf might’ve ruined her she already has dmg fall off and low numbers
honestly this style made the video super easy to follow. id love to see more like this!
I love this new format so much!!! Ty Emongg
This type of video is great! I liked the editing and transitions. Also quite engaging!~
Sorry thw main healer idea still applies to thw characters with lower healing like brig and lucio
Kinda sounds like your not actually confident on what main healer means
She also had 2 GIANT targets to heal at any given time. Not so much anymore
She worked as a main healer during OW1 launch...
Surely nothing else besides 45 HPS was a factor in that...
Also main and off healer doesn't really matter much nowadays as terms because it was an ow1 term for the 6v6 format
love the logic of wanting to reduce junkrats spam even though the reason he got way more spammy was because they fucked up his entire playstyle with season 9. these devs are so fucking stupid.
I absolutely loved the way this patch video was!
❤the editing on this one was so good I actually understand all of the changes better
easy to digest, enjoyable to listen to, and some reliable quick commentary tempered with exp and reason. good stuff
You new style of video is nice.
This video format is really good, definitely keep doing this.
Love the format of this video!
The structure of your vids is nice, easy to digest information and good thoughts and opinions on what's being done and why. Earned a follower even if I'm only slightly into overwatch now 😅👍🏽💪🏽
Also as an ana main, I HATE SOMBRAS 😂😂😂
Love this video's formatting! Don't get me wrong, I'll sit here and just watch emongg via stream read off the patch notes and still get the same enjoyment, but this video definitely felt more professional and sleek.
WHY?!!! WHY DO THEY GOTTA CHANGE ORISA EVERY GODDAMN PATCH? AND WHY IS IT ALMOST ALWAYS A BUFF?! Hanzo didn't need a nerf but it's always a welcome change, loved all other changes really good patch
THE BEST FORMAT IVE SEEN! the casualness of clipping from a live where you just read the patch notes is cool but this video is 100x better
great video thanks emongg!
Players: “We’re tired of flying heroes.”
Devs: “Ahh so you want to play against Sombra! We got you!”
(At some point the devs will pretend they like us.) Great editing on this video tho, definitely top tier! Love the style.
came for the "alright so" but was surpised by the production value, shoutout to whoever edited this vid they did great
Edit: oh man that junk change is gonna make waves in the metal ranks, a junk that can kind of spam well in those ranks just rolls but now they'll have less hits. Also as a moira otp all these health reductions sound... very nice lol. Grasp just got better at getting picks lol.
thanks for the vid
ew sombra buffs
i genuinely felt better playing against old sombra, she felt a lot more difficult to play and they rarely got as many kills as they do now while STILL turning abilities off, its purely annoying
Your editing and video quality is really good
This format of patch notes review is awesome, please do more like this!
I’m actually really liking the sound of a lot of these updates, we’ll see how it plays out when actually in game but I’m surprisingly optimistic
Thanks Emongg, that was the most comprehensive patch introduction video to hit the Overwatch content market yet!
Very engaging video and very easy to follow, love this format! Thank you for your amazing work
This is the kind of patch notes I can sit and watch, not too long, not too short, no bullshit, straight to the point.
I just kind wish that you put a screen on the end of each character with a short overview of the buffs and nerfs if they have multiple things buffed or nerfed.
Typical they never buff my favorite champs like wrecking ball
But they’ll buff braindead characters like sombra or torb lol
Dva nerf is way too small and she will still be op
pre nerfing hanzos health due to 1shot potential increasing, but not tracers to 150 is crazy
No ashe nerf!?
Dmg boost and healing buff but health nerf on a hero who literally doesn't need to peek the enemies a single time doesn't compensate, it is just gonna be simply way too strong with ashe especially
No bap nerfs!?
Tiniest, most miniscule illari nerf, with still a compensating qol buff
Random, meaningless changes to junkrat, and kiriko
In general nerfing mobility heroes in the ultimate poke meta is bonkers, I genuinely haven't been actually demoralised by reading a patch note ever.
WHY DID THEY BUFF SOMBRA (support main)
I love the editing!!!!!!
love the format, great video ❤
Editor cooked with this one!
as someone who's been playing 6v6 tf2 for a while now i am honestly very excited for clash, if blizzard executes it properly i can see it becoming the best gamemode
