    The iGPU is a Radeon 780M. There are devices being released for the same price with the 680M. The CPU & iGPU in this device is incredibly capable. If you don't have a desktop PC or laptop, you can plug this thing in to a monitor, keyboard, & mouse and use it like a regular desktop.

      On top of that the performance is not much better. Heavy games are maybe 20-50 percent faster, but in some cases Steam Deck has better performance thanks to preloaded shaders and overall Valve support while Rog will shutter. Plus much better battery life. Its just nobrainer for half the money.

    Man Floss, I've been trying to convince my 'daddy duty' friends that they need to get this or the Steam Deck. I know both are great (and I have the Steam Deck), but I know from their perspectives the 'full Windows experience' is probably overkill. They would ONLY use it for gaming - so the Steam Deck would be perfect. Deck Dads all day.
    Alright nerd glasses on - That said - the ONLY downside is that 'full Windows experience' is a LOT easier when installing/adding non-Steam games or otherwise - because it's a laptop at that point. On the Steam Deck there are too many hoops you have to go through to add games like Diablo 4, or any launcher for that matter are just almost too much of that 'Linux experience'. Too much odd install processes and such.

    Bought this for my self yesterday as a Christmas present and I am absolutely stunned by this device…. The imperfections like the battery and small bugs is what sold me as it’s realistic and logically make sense. As a console gamer I can say this device is absolutely revolutionary and steers me more away from console gaming and portable pc gaming ! The future is looking bright

      Side note, I think a device like this is the start to the end of confusion and console wars. One place for everything, on the go too ? I can’t believe this thing exists as early as 2023

    Man is a beast at KI on the Ally, Jesus, great stuff! Just got my rog for mass effect legendary edition. LOVING IT! Only downside is battery, but I bought a portable charger that’s in the mail, otherwise handheld is uncontested IMO.

    Problem with the glasses is.. you can't charge the Ally while using since there's only one port. So it's like 50-60 minutes of a AAA game.

    Ally looks great but companies sleeping on the steam deck track pads. They are amazing. Especially for non AAA games which if you are a member of the PC master race you play a lot of Indy games and need those track pads. Track pads are a game changer.
    Ally is good for your AAA console games they launch on PC at same time.

    • @eyb0ss
      @eyb0ss Год назад +3

      Depends on what you need. Ally is the emulation king for sure. If battery life is what you need the Deck might be better.
      Also depends what kind of games you play, e.g. Destiny 2, MW2 2022 not supported on the Deck cause of Linux.
      Plenty of comparisons, but both advantages and disadvantages for both.

      @@eyb0ssbattery life is not not the main priority I will be having a portable charger around me or an outlet most of the time I’m leaning towards the Ally because of the display and form factor the steam deck looks too big and heavy for small hands.
