About the Ingo theory - in his concept art page, it says that he came into the world of Hisui "XX years ago". In my opinion, that translates to a double-digit number. So ten years or more. That should mean that either Volo's plan and the space-time distortions were happening for longer than we know (yet that would be a contradiction, since we know that it happened for only a few months prior to the player's arrival). That would come into the other theory. That Ingo is a faller, much like Anabel and Mohn. As they both forgot their memories as a result of being dropped in another place. They could certainly jump dimensions and universes, so it wouldn't be far-fetched that the one Ingo got sucked by was one that took him to another timeline too.

That doesn’t necessarily mean that Ingo was brought to Hisui directly as a cause of Volo’s actions.
Maybe he was only supposed to be the Seeker of Pokémon, just that Arceus forgot to give him a phone DM. Or that Arceus could tell the future and knew that Volo would rise up

Regarding the Multiple Legendaries thing. It might actually be Canon, but only for certain species.
Arceus canonically presents trainers it deems “worthy” with an avatar of itself, you aren’t actually catching the real thing, so it’s possible for multiple to exist.
The Kanto Birds are probably a species of which multiple exist, but the Galar Birds are actually a seperate species named from their resemblance to the 3 Kanto Birds. It’s even possible that the initial sightings of these three weren’t the ones we see ingame, rather being Shiny Specimens, which resulted in the confusion.
Some Mythicals have multiple specimens, such as Shaymin or Manaphy, and especially Meltan.
And the most interesting case is actually Heatran. Heatran is interesting because it has a Gender, and not only that it can have either one. But it can’t breed, or rather, it cannot breed in captivity.

While this is the case, it isn’t made clear if these two are Migratory species like the Forces of Nature were confirmed to be in PLA or if there are specimens of both species living in both Regions. How else would this random kid get all those funds? Unless his parents are loaded. Usually someone with a project is funded by some sort of organization. And Giovanni/Team Rocket definitely have that. Especially when you consider they steal people's money as well. And sell Pokémon, run a casino, where people spend huge amounts of their winnings to purchase said Pokémon. And in general just running a black market. I wouldn't go so far as to say Bill is the leader of Team Rocket. He wouldn't just be chilling in some small house even if it's "guarded". If you look back, every evil team in Pokémon has some sort of scientist working for them. Even in RSE, they seize the weather institute and force the people there to work under them, until you take it back that is. Also in the Slateport museum they get that one doctor. After that well idk. They seem to have smart enough members and admins to do pretty well on their own. It makes a whole lot of sense for Giovanni to have recognized Bill's potential and intelligence and given him the funds he needed to complete his work, even dating back to before the pc existed perhaps. It could have been that Team Rocket was behind that. And Bill definitely knew Team Rocket was evil and why Giovanni was helping him. But he either didn't care or instead actually wanted to help them achieve their own goals. It gets pretty deep when you think about it honestly. They could have done something with this in one of the spin-off anime or something.

6:56 well, some of the Legendary Pokemon _are_ gods. Arceus and the creation trio are the obvious ones, and I would go so far as to call the weather trio deities of their spheres. Additionally, I doubt Ho-Oh raised more than one trio of Pokemon from the Burnt Tower, and the Gen 5 games will certainly tell you that the Tao trio are all one-of-a-kind.
Other than those, though, I believe it's kind of implied that there are multiple of certain Legendary Pokemon, such as Heatran, who can be found naturally in more than one region (no silly portals required).

Time and space was broken and distortions appearing everywhere. It's not that far fetched to think that certain distortions were more far reaching especially when a huge gateway was left opened and broken enough to even see past it. Simply put the distortions reached to the outermost part of the universe and into ultra space.

"7 pm"? "recording"? Okay first of all I don't recall any mention of that measurement of time like we use today. Correct me if I'm wrong. And even if someone else ever found the strange device (arc phone 1000%) that was mentioned, nobody in all of Hisui would even know how to record video on it, much less what the word even means or entails. Except for ONE man. Ingo. Gen 5 Black and White/Unova actually have that technology. _It's even in B2 & W2 in the form of Pokéstudios(?) where you literally make movies._ I rest my case. The player gets sent back to the past and isn’t returned to their normal time, so this means for the events of diamond & pearl to happen they will need to be born, so this must mean that the player character settles down and has children with someone from the hisui region and later their descendant is themselves.

about the first theory, it was confirmed that instead of HMs the player was meant to get items like a surfboard instead of HM Surf, but it changed in development. the Pokémon that are nearby places where you get the HM are part of the game design to provide players with a way through obstacles, e.g. the female machop trade in goldenrod department store as a counter for Whitney's gym, or how you can find Mankey/Nidorans that learn low kick near pewter city

For the Bill & Team Rocket theory, hear me out.
How else would this random kid get all those funds? Unless his parents are ABSOLUTELY LOADED. Like millionaires.

The issue with the villain of a future game being the PC creator, is that we didn't really need the PC at all in gen 8, it's starting to become obsolete. So they'd have to make it relevant again.
And the "Ingo being the one recording the Zorua encounter" idea would work if he didn't call the camera a "strange device". If he hadn't lost his memory yet, then he would know what a camera is. If he had, I still feel like he would know what a camera is, as that's not really a memory, just an object that exists in his time.

Here's another theory: If Ingo doesn't return to the present, then that means that he could be his own ancestor along with Emmet's ancestor.

    • @CaptainObliviousV
      @CaptainObliviousV 2 года назад +16

I don’t think that’s how it works. Ingo and Emmet’s ancestors still exist at the same time as Ingo, the “present day” bloodline just happens to continue at two different points in history (assuming Ingo eventually has a kid). Same goes for the player (who is safe to assume is an older Dawn/Lucas). There is a chance though, that if Dawn/Lucas get together with Rei/Akari, then the player might be the ancestor to the Dawn/Lucas that acts as Rowan’s assistant. Kinda wierd to think that in DPP you’re possibly traveling along side your great great granddaughter or something.

I like the idea of Bill, or whoever runs the Pc system for the region being the villain. They should be able to use the Pokémon that you have stored in your PC box against you. The game should take the six strongest Pokémon you have in your PC and have Bill use them against you in the final Boss fight

  • @Missingno_Miner

I don't buy the idea that Ingo was at all sent to Hisui by Arceus. He is stated to have arrived there differently, simply popping up without his memory rather than falling out of the sky(with no mention of him being injured as if he were attacked by a pokemon), shows no sign of ever having had an arc phone, and Alder and Benga, two characters descended from what appears to possibly be the legendary hero, were also right there if Arceus was going to send someone from gen 5.
If the idea was that the Zoroark in the trailer gave Ingo amnesia rather than the trip itself, then they would have used Ingo's voice actor or at least someone who sounds similar to get that message across.
More likely that he's a faller who ended up in Hisui by complete chance, given that fallers have all been shown to lose their memories to some extent. It seems unlikely that ultra wormholes could only form in Alola in the modern day, and it makes sense that they could send someone to different times just as easily as different places.

Not to be that guy but with the first theory about HMs it's kind of just good game design to make sure the player has easy access to pokemon who can learn the required HMs. I feel like there must have been some strategy to where the gifted/traded pokemon were placed but I'm not fully sold that it means that HMs weren't supposed to be a thing originally.
On an unrelated note, I kind of like HMs. It's satisfying to see the team you built get used outside of battle. I just hate they took up a move slot.

7:29 about the multi legendary. Think about it. Look at the Regis. I think they’re could be more than one of the trio. After all regiggas did make them and it’s not that hard finding ice, rock and iron around the earth. But I think regieleki and regidrago is the most rare one since I don’t think finding electricity and dragon energy is that common than finding rock, ice and iron . There could be more than one regiggas but could be only less than 20 since how else could we have continents til this day? Then with the legendary beast. I think there could be more by now. I think the burning tower was the first appearance but then they somehow able to populate. I mean how else could there be shinies. Also yeah there could be more than one legendaries because why could there be shinies of them?
