A great loss to the musical world, the latin community and mankind!! What a talented and compelling sound this man made come from a Brass Tenor Horn!! Truly the courts in Heaven welcomed him home to congratulate him for the pleasure and joy he brought to so many of his human brothers and sisters. This man rocked!! Gato Barbieri age 83, magnifico.....
Haven't heard this in so long a time . . . and as it plays I feel I am in that different time . . . so great to hear this now, & on my birthday! Thanks!!
I got this album when it first came out (still got it) but listened to and got blown away by the music and only scanned the notes on the sleeve. Then i heard Herb Alpert with his album ROTATION, which has a different version of behind the rain on it. I thought, well, he's covered it, but no, Herb wrote it and on further reading i noticed that Herb Alpert produced Gato's album, wow. Check it out. Such sublime sax, sadly missed.

Herb Alpert's upload brought me here. And I went to that from all that "We don't talk about Bruno" business from "Encanto".
