I enjoy Mosaic but as you said the value falls off of a cliff once the other sets come out. I opened three and had a Drake Maye a silver mosaic and a green Malik Nabors. No case hits but I have had decent luck in the past with case hits. Great analysis as always.
I think it's a solid addition to add in new case hits. The more to chase, the better. My only issue with it is the additional case hits give cover to raise box prices while increasing print runs.
I kind of like the Mosaic football I just wish they would make the cards look a little different from year to year! And I usually have good luck with Mosaic football at least I have the last couple years especially last where I opened a couple blaster boxes and pulled two Genesis from one pack and I opened my first 2 blasters a couple nights ago and pulled most of the Top rookies Williams and Daniels and the last pack I opened from my second Blaster I pulled a Justin Herbert Money so I don't have nothing bad to say about them and of course that's got me wanting to buy some more LOL
I'd say you had exceptional luck. We'll always take that. Still a rough product overall and totally agree. The lack of design time out into Mosaic this year is meh.

I bought a ton of retail mosaic basketball this year and also didn’t get anything so I shouldn’t be surprised that two blasters of football were a dud. Almost all my retail is coming from Target.
I hate the bobble head looking cards sad to see that the football mosaic has them too. The money insert is terrible looking IMO and I also don’t like the micro mosaic. Yet I’ll still buy a ton of this crap trying to get a stained glass Caleb when I probably should just buy the card and be done! It’s just so much more satisfying pulling it than buying it even if it cost me three times as much and I never pull it 😂. I hate that I got back into this hobby this year after leaving 25 years ago
It def is special to pull the card you want versus buying it. Its not reasonable anymore with the price of wax. I've seen the math on what it costs to pull a card. It's infinitely higher than 3x. It's thousands of time more expensive.
Mosaic, the only product that somehow, simultaneously looks both the same and worse than the previous year. There's barely anything to chase, the checklist is subpar, autographs are lame. Hoping Certified is solid, current favorites for 2024 are Origins and Elite. Not a fan of Gold Standard, too gaudy and over the top and too many sticker autos. Prestige has awful inserts and numbered cards that look like they're from Score. Also, Prestige and Luminance have too many college jerseys. Additionally, the photos they've chosen are awful and they keep using the same photo for every product, so lazy! Does anyone know if Obsidian and XR are completely discontinued?
I don't know what Panini is doing, but it's not much. Mosaic feels like a super lazy release, especially retail. And I haven't seen anything on Obsidian. XR was discontinued in 2023.
@@huxbux Thanks for the reply there. I would honestly rather rip XR, Obsidian or even Playbook over most of these releases. Prestige could have been awesome because they nailed the base design but the insert and numbered cards legit looked like they took old Score cards and stamped some numbers on them. Literally, nothing Prestigious about them. Baseball was it this year by a mile for me.
