In the ALGS Regional Qualifiers, players within Apex Legends, including Genburten and Imperial Hal, have been HACKED mid-game to try and grief the tournament.
Season 20 of Apex Legends has had a bunch of cheaters and hackers, but the ALGS hacking is a whole different level.
Genburten, a Pro Player for Dark Zero, was hacked with aimbot and the ability to see where every enemy was plus their health.
Destroyer2009 was the hacker, who previously hacked Imperial Hal's lobby within Apex Legends.

I got tired of fighting cheaters today. Decided to fly into lava for a few games and just spectate. No joke. There are cheaters everywhere. Game is genuinely infested to the point of no return imo, unfortunately.
I'm new to apex and I've been hearing this about the game.
Are there cheaters outside ranked or is it mainly a ranked thing?
@@user-kt2cv pubs is also absolutely rancid, plus there's pros too frustrated with ranked (understandably) playing pubs constantly

I concur. I play on console, it's unplayable. Every. Single. Team. Is tripple stacked, all three running either CronusZens or Xims.
The game is utterly broken, like my soul. They refuse to address either the soft, or hard cheats. I feel like a part of me died, now that the competitive integrity of online gaming is 100% gone.
Cheaters have been running rampant on apex for a while now.. If security was there main priority it would’ve been fixed before something this bad happened
It's a free to play game, that how they are unfortunately. Low barrier cost of entry. They are trying though

I'll never understand why people cheat. Fun of this game is not in winning, but grinding through the game with your teammates! Cheaters usually don't use VC, which I assume they're sore losers who can't even talk to people properly.
i quit this game couple years ago and i have the clips that ended it for me on apex... its clips of a hacker with complete aimbot tracking... yupp and after he smoked my squad we spectate him trying to aimbot another squad but he didnt reload... bro was a hacker but too dumb to know he had no more bullets then proceeded to DIE lmaoooo actually seeing a hacker lose was amazing...
I would like to see more infos on that, and if it could affect other source games too.

Since anticheats don’t do much nowadays, Games should introduce systems where higher ranked players can review reports and vote if the reported players is cheating to help the community. Like overwatch in csgo

Honestly anti cheats don’t do as much as we thought they could do. What we need is more improvement to the security team where they can do ban waves more efficiently and communicate with the apex audience

Great, the tweet came out at 8 PM.. in 2024. This game had and still has so potential, but this is again coming in 2024! Feels like a little too late.
Yeah if they hadn't let it get this bad in the first place, it wouldn't have been necessary to play hero at 8pm.
Only reason they're addressing it now is because they realize it will seriously hurt their pockets if people stop participating/showing up to their tournaments.
They don't give AF about any of us, hence why we have literally weeks worth of content from top streamers showing regular hacks.
DESTROYER is a hero and should be treated as such, he might have unintentionally saved the game.

Respawn: Invest Money into making an entirely new Anti Cheat software for Apex Legends? Nah. Invest three nickels and a dime for hack fixes that will eventually break over time? Hell Yeah!
Developing a Anticheat isnt a 2 Day matter thats a multi Month if not year long project if you have the correct people. And unless something major changes, clientside anticheat will always be bypassable. They would need to cook up something serverside and that would for example not be able to detect esp etc.
@@user-to7ds6sc3p 5 billion dollar company, they took 5 years to add cross progression, I made code to make it work in 1 week. Cross progression taking 5 years to add was due to 90% of the Devs working on recolours and heirlooms. Yes making an anti cheat is somewhat difficult but apex makes so much money they can afford to do it faster. If this hack was free heirlooms, it would be patched in 2 days

@lexiwhite1503 sure very well aware of this but so far Thor has done more to ease the players minds then the dev team has by saying listen evidence suggests that the game isn't compromised and you are ok to play remember Respawn took 48 hours to make a well crafted PR speak instead of out right saying you're safety and security is what we value most we will get to the bottom of it instead it took them like I said a full 48 hours to say this in PR speak its a bad look Thor took a couple hours to ease peoples minds this is what I am saying

we still don't 100% know, but it's likely to be safer than PC. however, no official word from Respawn yet.

it's PC playrs that are worried, we use PC's for work, finance, and store private data on them, etc.

@@olakpasa6486 I can't play other games man because they don't feel like Apex legends but Apex legends has some serious problems like Audio issues, bugs, shit 20 tick servers, lag stuttering, etc . Respawn and EA are not even trying to spend 10% of their profit to improve Apex legends .
