Saliya Aladeniya didn't die by air bombing. He was taken as POW (prison for War) after Ltte overrunning the Kokavil base. According to old records he was in prison for few days with others soldiers who were captured by Ltte and later was shot dead. This whole Kokavil story was a made up story by Army to cover up the shame of the defeat and to cover up the fact that they could not send reinforcement to Kokavil from Makulam base even though they had more enough time to save the base. Same goes with Hasalaka Gamini story

Yes it was all created by Gen. Attygalle after Kokavil collapse. Captain Aladeniya had kept on top a barrel somewhere close to Mallavi hands tied behind back until shot dead on following day. This was told by one of my ex military friends. But that madeup story (may b may b not) gave a real moral booster to our soliders who were low in spirits by that time.
