It wasn't a prediction per se. He basically meant that the portfolio investors, profit minded top investors would invest and then take out money in a few months. As a result the stock market would rise and then fall. He was talking about the 'trend'.

It wasn't a future prediction about economy rather he was pointing towards a 'trend' of ups and downs in economy due to Foreign Portfolio Investors. They put money, make a kill and when they have made enough profit then lets say after two months from now they withdraw it. This is a trend he talks about. A trend isn't a prediction.

I must confess here one thing, I was sceptical towards you and your points of view but now I am getting impressed as much inetrview as I am seeing of yours.
Dr. Swamy needs to be respected and India needs leaders like him. He has disagreed with the Prime Minister or with his party policies basically because he has more knowledge in that subject (economics) and unlike many who would have just agreed and gone with the flow. We should respect that very fact that in a democracy it is ok to disagree on views.
I don't agree with some of Dr. Swamy's ideology but I appreciate that he puts forward his view and very calmly explains his side of the plot. And in a country as diverse as ours, we need to atleast give the other person a chance to speak and we should be patient to listen to it. And then come to a solution which will lead us to progress.

The wavelengths of highly educated people don't match with Modi govt top Ministers may be? That's why top DR Raghuram Rajan never sought another term, and equally capable and well accomplished guys like Dr Urijit Patel and Dr Viral Acharya quit. Considering Swamy's elite educational background and illustrious career, he'd still be a better choice as FM/C&I Minister than any other candidate the NDA govt has had in the last 7-8 yrs. Again, his age is becoming a problem now...or does India only want septagenarian and octagenarian leaders?
If Modi doesn't know economics, he should keep away from it and appoint real economists as finance minister and let them do their job and don't micromanage them.

True. Small and Medium industries are suffering very very badly due to ill effects of Ache Dins. No business can have liquidity as Gabbar Singh Tax itself a biggest burden. Businesses have to give credit of 60 days to 120 days for the goods sold to companies. In the case of Gabbar Singh Taxes one has to pay the entire taxes at slabs @18% to 28% with in a month. For whose sake some one is doing is it for themselves or for good days providing Lotus Govt. No will have the luxury of doing nothing on the contrary screw up everything built over decades within a short time yet brag all the time. Enough is Enough of botched good days . God should put an end to this chaos and allow everyone one to have a peaceful and affordable living. We have no support of big business houses to support us. I am not even 0.00000001 % of respected subramanyam swami ji... I support him, and I do respect him...and being a centrist I do not support modi and bjp on certain matter. But my simple point is this that how we have came to 5th in terms of economy in the last 9 year. And when the economist manmohan ji was our prime minister he just took indias from 12th to 11th. How could this possible that india's most educated pm hadn't contributed in terms of enhancing our economy, by his potency. And the chaiwala took us from 10th to 5th largest economy in the world?

However it does not impacted the GDP as due to "Iran -american crisis"in 2019 we were supposed to show recovery instead we stopped buying cheap oil from Iran and suffered a huge blow and "american-china trade war" added to the cause and 2020 now covid.
