    Thank you for including in your last several reviews the presence of a spare tire - some brands/models have dropped that feature in favor of a can of flat-fixer - a nasty surprise if it’s 2:00 AM on the Interstate! 😳Great review - really liked the new screen. Congrats on 208k subs, too! 😎

    I must be the only one who loves the way it looks. Everything else looks overstyled. Judging by the explorer and escape, the redesign will have worse suspension tuning and glitches. This one is still comfortable.

    I have a 2015 edge that I love. Looking to eventually replace it but every year it seems to look more and more outdated, and the build quality goes down. Lots of room in both rows, comfortable, and quiet though. Price point this car still makes a lot of sense. It’s also an easy oil change for those that are into changing their own.

    I brought the 2020 Edge Titanium last month. I love it. I could have purchased the 2021 for about the same price but the huge screen was a turn off for me. Trying to look like a Tesla screen I guess. By making the screen bigger, they had to remove some controls that were easily accessible to accommodate the screen. I have one as a work vehicle and the hood bulge at the corner windshield/fender line irritates me and forces me to raise the seat. A pillars are thick and dash is long which dont help. A VW Atlas cross sport with the turbo 2.0 is comparable and much better sight lines and great to drive. Don't get me wrong, the edge drives decently. I just prefer the VW if it was my $.

      @jayhawker03 3 года назад +1

      Make no mistake the 8 speed in the newer models is not exactly an upgrade over the 6F35 in the previous edges/fusions. The new transmission is based largely on the old 6F35 with a new second gear and a new eighth gear. The way they did it makes the shifting really awkward as the shift from 2-3 is much smaller than 3-4. It makes driving it an unpleasant experience, so much so that TSB's are coming out to update the characteristics of the transmission software.

    2016 has the center pass through as well. I have it. And the interior has much more storage than this 2021 model.
    This year is a downgrade for sure, the screen being the biggest flaw. That thing is way too big, and very thoughtlessly placed. It looks silly, and as someone else said, it looks aftermarket.
    What a disappointment. Sigh...
    P.S. thanks for the review! It was a big help in my car shopping experience.

    Sadly, this ridiculous portrait aftermarket-look screen could very well be the death of the Ford Edge if they don't fix it soon. Turned landscape and bringing back the analog climate control buttons and knobs would be a huge improvement. It took the wind out of my sails in my quest for a new Edge.

    It ok. But it still looks outdated the only thing is that aftermarket big tablet. The other bread in this price point looks better.

    I love it. Why change what works. Toyota’s lineup is way more outdated…That being said the Edge is probably one of the smoothest driving suvs out there

    • @connordurham8216

      Ummm the only outdated part of Toyota’s lineup is the bigger suvs and trucks like the sequoia, 4runner, Land Cruiser, tundra, and Tacoma. So that’s just 5 vehicles and realize Toyota has a lot more to update like sedans witch Ford stopped making so it’s excusable for Toyota to not to have all the vehicles updated because the have a lot to constantly update

    It's a head-scratcher where Edge belongs within the Ford family. 13 years have passed and nobody seems to have an answer.

    Like the new edge but I don`t like the 12 in display. I`m old so I much prefer knobs and buttons. Don`t like taking my eyes off the road.

    Ford and domestics in general just can’t seem to get build quality up to par with other manufacturers. It drives me bonkers!!!!
