  • Prosecutions of sub-postmasters by the Department for Work and Pensions could be "tainted", a Sky News investigation has found, as officials worked with now discredited Post Office investigators to secure convictions.
Around 100 prosecutions of Post Office staff were led by the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) between 2001 and 2006.
It is understood that these usually involved the cashing in of stolen order books.

He sacrificed himself to get his wife off the hook. There's countless other cases like this in the post office enquiry where the accused were railroaded into a false confession in order to save their loved ones. The way the prosecutors interrogated and coerced their victims during interviews was perhaps the most disturbing part of this whole scandal.

I believe the cps was responsible for some. Maybe a starmer should be questioned about it he was head of the CPS during the post office scandal.

      EXACTLY.
      IMMEDIATE VACATING of ALL cases.

  • @julierogers1155

ALL of these cases should be automatically VACATED. Then, and only then, IF the Post Office has a legitimate case they will HAVE TO re-file and PROVE guilt. FFS!

Starmer did not lock up any posties. The Post Office brought PRIVATE prosecutions against people.
Starmer was the Director of PUBLIC Prosecutions from Nov 2008 to Oct 2013
