    Want to head right to the harmonica sounds and techniques? Head here: 4:15
    This is useful for those of you who return to this video often and do not need to hear me ramble about my upcoming harmonica events every time you land on this video. Thanks!

    I was unsuccessfully searching how to do "warble" on the harmonica but didn't know the name of the technique. Thanks to you, I now know what to search for!

    This is a great reminder of those techniques that can refresh or enhance your playing, perhaps when your approach to a particular song has become a little stale. And all in the one place, bit like a potted version of Rick Estrin’s Tips and Tricks video but obviously more concise. Some of the references to events are obviously outdated and therefore superfluous. This is a great resource however so maybe it’s time for an update unless that’s already been done elsewhere. Ronnie always has something to say on many levels. Thank you.

    Getting my first harmonica, and this is exactly the video I was looking for. Coming from other instruments, I know it'll take time to learn and explore all of the different techniques, but having a all-in-one reference like this at least gives me a starting glossary.

    Also tongue trill, throat growl

    Thank you, an excellent reference for a complete beginner like myself. One question, you appear to be angling the harp rather than keeping it parallel to the mouth. Is this correct & why. Is it simply your style or a technique to achieve some of the effects. Cheers

    Thank you for this video. I've been using a piano app to try and see if I'm hitting the right bends. It's hard to discern when I've got no prior music education. Been looking for this exact thing for weeks! Thank you!

    Is your harmonica specially tuned, I only have my harmonica coming from a music store unopened, and I can't get solid sounds like you I've tried and practiced but I feel as if every professional gets a specially tuned harmonica.

    • @Harmonica123
      @Harmonica123  11 лет назад +2

      no special tuning here. it's the player not the instrument. this is a stock Special 20 I am using here. it takes years to get to the point where you can get those sounds to come out the way you want them.
