And then he uses those to build a thing and you think it's over, but then he slides in 5 *more* of the thing. I want a video of that part happening over 8 hours to build some kind of fractal nonsense.

He is stressing the bricks a little bit yes, but you would be surprised to know how much stress a lego brick can endure before getting permanetly deformed, the little amount of stress he is putting on those bricks wouldn't even be enough to weaken their structural integrity at all

If you top them with tiles you can use this as a rail system for homemade lego monorails using power function motors and tired wheels to grip the track. It's been done before, but that system was two bricks wide with the same methods.
Actually due to the length of the thing, and the small movement space of the bricks this can actually work. But if ya were to slightly alter length or brick type it would not
In regards to aging, they work more as an elastic - they won't snap, but they will crumble away. So at least it's not dangerous, and if left alone quite an eternal display

I feel like these could be used for an excellent visual on tolerance stack up. Every brick should theoretically perfectly fit locking in so that curving like this would be impossible, but we can live in a theoretical world. So when we make it we give each brick a tolerance range, and part of that range is a tendency to have each brick a tiny bit short, because if they are long they won't fit, but short just means a small gap. Those gaps allow bricks to angle just a little bit. Over dozens of bricks that are all in tolerance, a structure can form that is massively out of tolerance.
