    Qucik question. Does it hold texture well? Im making a Throne for Dr Doom out of the pink foam and going to overlay it with Apoxie sculpt the write on some magic runes. Im assuming I could texture Apoxie sculpt Like i Do Pink foam just not press as hard with my foil ball?

    It’s super hard to sculpt while recording. My head usually get in the way or for the most part I can’t even see what I’m doing because there’s a big-O tripod in front of me.

    I've never worked with Apoxie. It seems difficult to work with? Something about having to use latex gloves while mixing, and having to work fast before it dries? I really want to get into figure sculpting. Is Sculpey polymer clay bad to use?

    • @AdamCrohn
      @AdamCrohn  2 года назад

      I really like apoxie, and I've only used polymer a couple times because I can't bake the plastics I work with. If you're making one solid sculpture polymer might be better. But if you're doing what I do where in adding clay to plastic you have to use apoxie or something that is self curing. With aves you get about 30-45 minutes, but you can always mix more. And I don't use gloves, but definitely a mask when sanding. Hope that helps, and thanks for stopping by! AC

    • @Kracov_the_Madman
      @Kracov_the_Madman 2 года назад +1

      @@AdamCrohn Okay. So I think for adding clay to plastic, I'll use apoxie. For making weapons polymer might be easier, not sure. There's a special weapon I need to make, it will be box shaped, so what kind of material should I use for the "skeleton"?

    • @AdamCrohn
      @AdamCrohn  2 года назад

      @@Kracov_the_Madman keep in mind that polymer will work for the prototype but it will also be brittle if handled too much. Maybe resin cast copies. For the skeleton I'd try tin foil.

    • @Kracov_the_Madman
      @Kracov_the_Madman 2 года назад

      @@AdamCrohn What do you mean brittle if handled too much? I made a flaming skull with polymer clay before. it's pretty easy to work with. I'm wary about using apoxie because I have a very short window of time to work with it before it hardens, right?

    • @AdamCrohn
      @AdamCrohn  2 года назад

      @@Kracov_the_Madman Like I said, about 30-45 minutes. Polymer clay degrades faster than apoxie
