To me the barbershop scenes were the best part of the whole movie. Love their conversations
This movie is a stone cold classic. Arsenio should have gotten more movie work. Cuba getting a hair cut.
They just announced a sequel
Cuba Gooding getting a fake haircut. If you watch the scissors you notice Eddie never even touches Cuba's curly wig with them. He's just clipping the air.
@@jamesagwe2981 In the sequel they should make Arsenio do more work as the barber. In the first movie all he did was just sit down in the chair and eat food.

They made this movie in my neighborhood. I remember when I first saw McDowells I thought it was a McDonald’s knock off restaurant. I had no idea they were filming a movie. I saw this shortly after it came out I thought it was one of the funniest movies I’ve ever seen. I’ve seen it several more times since I can practically recite the entire script.
The best kind of comedy is timeless.

Yes, Cuba Gooding Jr with a very bad curly wig getting a fake haircut. Eddie never touches the wig, he just clips the air with the scissors.

I forgot that Eddie Murphy played Saul in this scene. 🤣
Sometimes Saul is played by an actual old white man: 0:11-0:15, 0:24-0:27 and other moments, for example 5:39-5:44
Fun Fact: They actually used Rick Berman's ( the special effects make-up artist) father-in-law as the ''template'' and double in a couple of scenes and the old gentleman wasn't even jewish. Eddie even got him, his own dressing room for the shoot.
He played almost everyone in that scene. :-D
One of my favorite movies of all times! Eddie is the best doing impersonations! I had 'Soul Glo' as my ringtone when we first got cell phones and downloading everything. All us late 80s early 90s girls know dippity do and dep 🤣

@@fezzik7619 I was 18 when the movie came out. I like watching the Special Edition dvd that shows behind the scenes features, including footage of Eddie having the Jewish guy make-up being put on his face by make up artist Rick Baker, and improvising and ad-libing in a screen test as the character.
