TIME TO GO HOME!! So excited to be home and be with our kids. Traveling 28+ hours was crazy, but I'm so grateful for our experience in China. Now that we're home, it's like... time for the holidays! Holy cow! What are your favorite Thanksgiving traditions?

Glad to see you guys made it home ok! I know can't believe Thanksgiving is already here. Our favorite thing to do on Thanksgiving is to just be together and kick back and connect as much as possible. Oh and we love to play cornhole every year!

Everyone bitching that their kids are too young for them to "abandon" and it's "selfish"... Being parents doesn't mean your life stops and revolves around your children. Yes, they are a HUGE part of your life. But you're still adults; they're still their own people and a couple with other interests and responsibilities. And if they need to travel in order to expand their business and therefore better complete their goals to help better their family as a whole- so be it. They didn't abandon their children for months. The kids were in great care the entire time. All in all- good for them. Making their dreams come true and still raising a beautiful family. Now chill.
Skyler Gray i agree they are the best parents there is nothing wrong with mom and dad to take a small trip. And by the way its theory business anyway if u don't. Like their lifestyle you know wat to do Don't Watch them they don't need to justify anything to anybody and im sire they will make it up to their children they are a lovely family you can tell how much they love their kids i don't even know how people can be so rude and make comments like that love e&j and of course little jackson and calvin and even their fur baby penny stop picking on this family they are a wonderful family sending my love from new york oxoxox
People also forget that (with no meanness intended) grandparents won’t be around forever & ever; the Griffiths & Mecham parents adore their grandbabies & love spending time with them. Not only that, but they’re making memories that will last all of them a lifetime. I only wish I had grandparents growing up. My parents had me later in life (40 & 41), my mother’s mum passed away young in her mid 50’s of lymphatic leukaemia, long long before I was born (16yrs), I briefly knew my mother’s father - my grandad - & have lovely photos of him, but he passed of old age when he was in his late 80’s, & I was just past 2 years old. I only have 1 distinct memory of him & his big kind face.
I never knew my fathers mum who also passed very young. And my fathers dad passed when I was much older, but we weren’t close, & he was a very strict man who wasn’t close to his own children unless on a formal basis.
People seem to criticise Ellie & Jared so easily, but forget their entire family network is based on extraordinary love, bond & memory making. Those boys want for nothing on the rare occasion they ever travel away together.
And you’re so right. People forget that life doesn’t stop when you have children. I think it actually creates a far more harmonious household when parents go out on date nights, out with friends for the occasional evening, & on travelling trips; it’s all too easy to get caught up in a rut of tantrums, tears, discipline, & neglecting what really matters, you know? Just taking a step back makes you reenergise. Even just for a night. And after everything Ellie & Jared have been through recently, they deserved this trip away.

The best advice I ever got about jet lag is when you get to your location to stay up until you would normally go to bed in that time zone. And hydrate. It always worked for me traveling to England. Would wake up the next day feeling completely normal.

It’s so important to get away without your babies once in a while, having your couple time is necessary for a happy marriage but I know it’s not always easy to leave them behind but coming home to them is such a joy and at least you can leave Jackson and Calvin with family.❤️❤️

Why are these boys so stinking cute?
I've always wondered.......why do you not have any window coverings on your windows (kitchen, living room, etc.) Is that the normal thing to do in Utah? I think it's so crazy you don't mind having everyone be able to see inside your home! No one does that where we live, we all use either blinds or curtains. It's totally a pet peeve on mine too. I can't stand for it to get dark and have the blinds/curtains open. I feel like everyone can see inside the house! lol Just curious as to why you choose not to have anything covering the windows.
I wonder if they have a mirror tint on their windows so they can see outside, but nobody can see inside their home.

it’s likely that they don’t have neighbors on that side of the house so people can’t see on those windows... they have hills behind their house so no one can see in those windows. there are curtains in jared’s office so people can’t see in.
we live in the woods so even though we have wooden blinds (they came with our house), we don’t use them because we don’t have neighbors who can see in our house.
i think it's because thy're rich,and an afford to have nothing!Us other people have so much stuf we're ashamed for it to get looked at by some boogyman/creep!Or,it could be they're super rich,so to stay that rich they have to stay organized!They could do that by going to bed early!They wouldn't have to worry who watches in on the bottom floor if they're asleep!
Their house it's right at the foot of the mountains. There are a few people who live father up, but their houses are far enough away they probably can't really see in those windows. It's mostly just mountains back there.

I think if you drink a lot of water it will help the jet lag feeling. Jared it may take a few days for the jet lag to catch up with you so don't be surprised if it does .
