I have the 57g. The reason why I bought it is because it cuts 5-7 mm deeper. That can make a big difference! The left-bladed one barely cuts through a 2x4. I am a bit bummed tho, that Bosch hasn't been able to make a brushless version when most of the competetors have...
Joachim Osmundsen hey would you recommend the 57g. In thinking of getting it for when I do decking jobs and things like roofing etc. Also how much 2x4 would I cut on a 4ah battery?
Hey, I think the power of the 57g is okay, but not more. The power-output is nowhere near what you get out of the best models (Dewalt, Milwaukee), but more average. All in all I give it 4/6. There will come a new brushless model next year. If you can, I think you should wait for that one - I would probably if I had known :) The new model will probably also be compatible with the Procore batteries which will give it some extra power. I've heard from Bosch people that the battery gives about 15 % more power to the tool. I am not sure if that goes for compatible tools, or any tool since I have not tried the battery myself. The new bl grinder has about 800w with a standard battery, but 1080w with Procore/Eneracer. This is just my random guess (I could be totally off), that the next model will also be compatible with the rail-system (like 57g), but be a big step up from the current models. Bosch needs to step up with their circular saw's, as they today aren't very impressive. If you buy it you don't buy crap, but if you can wait I think you should consider the upcoming model :) I have no idea about price, but a 18v shouldn't be crazy expensive. Release date is also unknown to me. All I know is that Bosch will release some cool things next year like the 7ah and one much bigger battery, and some more brushless things. :)
Oh cool thanks for that I think I'll wait then and just save the money to go towards a brushless if they're around the same price. I like Milwaukee and dewalt but they have a price tag on them and I already have a bosch impacter and combi set so if I got the bosch circ I'd have 2 spare batteries for it as well. Think I'll defo wait and see what's coming next year though. What's the main difference really with brushless? Is it really that much more of a difference or is it more that they last longer and stuff?
I don't really know that much about this. What I know is that the lifetime of the machine increases dramatically. Also you get more power because of less friction in the engine. This also contributes to longer runtime on the battery! Basically only good effects! Even some corded tools are now becoming brushless. From what I see most manufacturers have stepped into brushless tools which is the new/recent big step in technology. I don't think 18v will change a whole lot in the next five years, as it is being modernized right now :) So if you have a circular saw already - hold on to it for a little longer!
Which one is better for the price?

Si Who is Best ?

So, can anyone summarise any conclusions that were drawn here, as, sadly, my Russian is none existent?
The saw has good cutting in the upside down stranger things bear riding power
