No magnetic base on AAA version; I personally never wanted for that feature. Thing just keeps taking lickings and keeps on ticking. When the light starts to seem dim, throw in a new AAA battery at your convenience. Not a spot light, but always seems to get the job done and I always have it with me.

It is a great one...keep in mind the magnet is strong and can clump up anything ferrous in same pocket that this flashlight resides. I'm looking forward to the Imalent video. I bought this model recently. What i didn't consider was the strong magnet on it and my automatic watches. I like the light but ive left it in my car as an emergency light.
Excellent point. For pocket carry, the Silver Fox can make rat's-nest of any ferrous keys in the same pocket. The Lumintop EDC15 is essentially the same light without the magnet.
Silver Fox and EDC15 have same lumen outputs 8, 130, 450, 760. Run times for the above lumen levels: 50 hrs, 4 hrs, 58 min, 5 min. I’d go Silver Fox. Magnetic base with removable keychain assembly.
Love their aaa version, been on my keychain for 10+ years. Best light for the money.
