- This comes from the CD "Music from L.A., Law and Otherwise" by Mike Post. There's really not much to this piece. I mean, sure we get a mandolin piece in the middle (true to Vinnie's Italian roots), but other than that, it's not much different from what you hear on TV. Mike Post doesn't disappoint very often, but when he does, you know it. Here, Mike disappoints. Of course, your mileage may vary.

My favorite show and actors of all time . Vinny,Mike and lifeguard.
Overlooked Mike Post TV collaboration. It is very haunting and powerful. Love the series and the 3 arcs. Loved all this in 1987 and have reunited with this great show and its cast. Writing is still as good as it was 33 years ago.
I watched this TV series when I was young and got absorbed in this atmosphere that that series created in me.
I grew up with this show! Awesome 😎 brought back memories...
This is an awesome theme, along with in my opinion one of the best written television series of all time!

I have always loved this theme song. I'm so glad to hear the entire song. Thrilling, sad and haunting.

The first 1:17 are pretty neat but it sounds different from the TV show. I remember watching the show as a kid, I had it stuck in my head for nearly twenty years before somebody uploaded the opening credits on RUclips. I think this is the first time I've ever heard the full clear theme. Thanks bud!

Kevin Spacey puts in some of his best work as Mel Profit.
Damn... I do remember the Profit spin-off from 1995, Fox (the network) thought that a 3rd Cannell show (21 Jump Street and it's spin-off, Booker) would work... but this one didn't make it past 1995-96... unfortunately, and New World, who distributed Profit, well, lost big.

I loved this show but it often let me down a bit to be honest. It could have been so much better than it was. The last season was junk if I recall correctly. The concept of a season long run of an undercover agent is really compelling though. I'd love Vince Gilligan to do a remake of this series!
I prefer David Simon and Vince Gilligan as co-developers.

To me, it's the best theme on the whole CD.
It is a great theme although I think I prefer the version specific to the introduction and closing of the show.

I'd like the 8 cellos woman to do a rendition of this theme.
A lot of TV themes are a little weak when they try to stretch them beyond the original 1:30 or so.
Personally I think albums of "original themes" should include both the "as aired" version and the stretched one, as separate tracks.

His theme for "The Hat Squad" was way more of a disappointment than this.
