5:35 I travel for work a lot and stay long stretches in different hotel rooms. I have the lay-flat toiletry bag and love it, but because I don’t use it as a toiletry bag but rather as a separate, home-away-from-home nightstand container. It contains travel sized duplicates of everything I keep in my nightstand at home (phone charger and cables, nail file, tissues, throat lozenges, ear plugs, etc). Whenever I get to a new hotel room all I have to do is lay this flat on the nightstand, hang up my toiletries in the bathroom and, boom, I feel “moved in”.
Thanks for this great idea, I recently went on holidays and spent the entire week trying to come up with some way of not knocking at least three things off the nightstand each night.
I travel with my prescriptions in my weekly containers. I take pictures with my pill bottle and the pill beside it if there are any questions. I have never had a problem.
Good suggestion! I’ve traveled for years with meds/supplements in ziplock bags to save space and have never been hassled. But I like your pro-active idea.
I'd actually look at the coffee carrier for an office environment. There's always that intren needing to go get everyone coffee, I'm sure they'll appreciate this lol
I have one of the pill organizer, I purchased small stickers for the type of pills. Tylenol, flu & cold meds ( Day & Nights ) aspirin and so on . I find it great when traveling with my family as you don't have to bring a ton of different pill bottles
Former pharmacy tech here. Please don't decant your prescriptions into these travel containers. The amber bottles help protect the drugs from degrading from light or air exposure, and TSA can and will make you dump these out if they're suspicious for any reason. It has happened to me, and even though I could prove what they were (and that they weren't scheduled drugs), I was made to dispose of it. OTC drugs should be fine, as they can be easily replaced and their efficacy is more negligible.
Lol. I have the airplane tray table cover and used it last week on a trip. Love it. I don’t travel with a laptop, but it held my water bottle and all my accessories great in the pockets. I got some double looks when I used it. 😂 It elevates everything so you don’t have to reach as low as normal with the regular seat back pocket that is obviously disgusting with all kinds of stuff going in.
I used the airplane pocket for over a year, but have since switched to a Tom Bihn Side Kick pouch with two of the Nite Ize S-Biner hooks. It just feels sturdier and more organized, and then I slide only my water bottle into that seat back pocket like L&T suggested. This bag is essentially for my in-flight stuff, then my rental car stuff when I get to my destination (vent mount for phone, power cable, and 12V-to-USB adapter). If I am planning laptop use during the flight, all I pull out is the laptop and my "go bag".
10:02 the rattle could be a spare fuse. A lot of these adapters are fused to prevent surges so this likely has one built in with a spare in case it blows while you are traveling
I have a marble-patterned, slightly rubbery-feeling version of the Make-up bag, without a handle. What I personally do like, is that it lays flat on a surface and I can see into the bag and can riffle through it easily. My bag is a mess anyway so to me it doesn’t matter if stuff moves. As it closed upwards things are tight and don’t move once you close it.
The sheet "sleeping bag" IS 100% necessary for staying in hostels. The bedbugs (and other bugs) I've met sleeping in hostels and squats over the years...
Hostels and hotels are very different situations. In general, assuming a hostel will have sheets is not a safe assumption to make which is where byo-sheet sleeping bag comes in.
I just take out the pillow part of the travel neck pillow and stuff some clothes, scarves or travel blankets ;D Pillow is now your preferred size + the shell can be stashed into your jeans' pocket!
9:29 Lol here in Germany we have 230V. And i seem to remember that the US only has 110V. So you need to make sure that your appliances can handle that. I have a small travel hairdryer with a switch to change voltages depending on the country im travelling in. An appliance like that is really handy if you dont want to buy multiple things. 😊
I have taken around 40 flights with that pill organization thing including around 15-20 that were international and I have never had an issue. The best thing I have found with it is that I can carry a ton of over the counter drugs for my first aid kit which can be tricky for overseas travel. Some things like even Pepto-Bismol can be a restricted drug which requires a pharmacist to dispense which is not the thing you want to discover when traveling and the pharmacy is closed.
I used the Airplane Pocket when my wife and I took a trip from the US to London a few weeks ago. On a long trip, I found it very useful. There's another one that just has a rigid flap that tucks into the seatback pocket we also got. From using both on the trip, I think I liked the Airplane Pocket more. It's lighter and took up less room in my bag than the more rigid one. That folding tray is fantastic. I'd use that just for when I hit the drive thru for my wife and I.
For my pills, I put each rx in a very small zip top bag and tape the label I remove from the bottle onto the bag. Supplement I put together into a snack sized baggie. I like the idea some suggested of taking a photo of each pill next to the bottle. If trqveling to Singapore, and maybe other countries, they are very strict about keeping prescribed meds in their original Rx containers.
The tray would be great for door dashers/grub hub as well since they can carry multiple drinks and food containers, a neat concept, make it a basket and that would be pretty sweet since sometimes the paper/plastic bags they normally carry stuff in sometimes rip and you lose the food but keep the holes and maybe make a few odd sized ones for two liters and such.
As a fellow TSO in Las Vegas I can tell you we really don't care what you bring as long as it's not what is defined as something that could be a threat.
i definitely need the iron review to know if there's a chance to damage hotel surfaces that you choose to iron on and if that's actually convenient (vs. just borrowing an ironing board + iron from the hotel)!
I have the Airplane Pocket and I love it! And in Iceland where I rent the smallest camper van I used the pocket on the passenger seat headrest. It didn't stretch any during my 14 day journey.
The tray table cover looks like it would hang down and hit your knees because the whole thing isn’t attached to the seat, just the top. That would be my main reason for not getting it
I brought a sheet to protect myself from bed bugs in Indonesia. Really small and also covered a pillow. I can confirm that it worked because we slept at someones' house and slept on a rug. The next morning everyone had little red spots on them except me! I know it was an extreme case but I think that even in hotels it can be interesting to bring since it's so light.
The pill box having a pick is better than several I tried recently. However, I got a new one for home use and it has buttons you press that flip the lids up. That's much better for people with arthritis or dexterity issues I feel and I strongly suspect there's a travel version from some company. And yes, I'd take the original boxes, the prescriptions, and then fill it when I got in country/past security. It's one thing trying to reduce your luggage down to a single bag, it's quite another putting yourself at risk if you need actual prescriptions just so you can save some space and not check a bag.
I could see the travel pill organizer having additional uses. First, even if you have prescription meds that you need to keep in original bottles, this could be used for day trips in whatever location you are exploring. Second, for ladies who travel with earrings and other jewelry, this could help keep it organized. Third, I could see a use for memory cards, batteries and other little items for cameras and tech gear that otherwise would get lost in random pockets in other bags.
I have had the Turtl pillow for a very long time. It's comfortable, and in a pinch I have even used it at night when the hotel pillows were not to my liking. I hate trying to stuff it in a bag, though. The shape is so annoying-I wish it could flatten out when not in use. I have the pill holder and keep it in my purse day to day. It stays shut nicely. It's very helpful because I get surprise migraines, and I take great joy in being the person on the trip who has the emergency Benadryl or whatever. I just used painter's tape to label each pod. It is not, however, big enough for snacks unless you are the size of a church mouse.
We have similar pill cases that i throw in my purse or weekend bag for stuff like antihistamines, Tylenol, advil, and a day or two of meds (mine have 14 small compartments... the smallest will hold about 6 tylenol).... i dont think I'd fly with it, though (its good to have original prescription bottles in case you need replacement meds, too). I'd love that iron for the occasional use in the trailer.
I have the pill container and love it. All about the supplements being plant based and having dry eyes; need omega 3. Won't get anything else shown here though. Thanks for the video!
I have this oil separator. No problems with flying in Europe. A small problem is the seal is held by friction and can dislodge easily but only when the box is open.
Fun format shifts in this one! I've got those pill cases and, as pill cases, I don't particularly love them. The curved sides mean you can't really fit that many tablets in each section if they're larger than, say, an Advil. I take a couple pills in the morning and a couple in the evening, and this case won't hold that for a week-long trip. I'd rather just get a lower-profile traditional pill case for traveling if I'm going to use it for meds.
Bring your own pillow case and sheet would be much heavier. I'm one of those who don't trust hotel sheets and I've brought sleeper bad liner for the longest time and I sleep better with it.
The tray table cover looks interesting for low-cost airlines e.g. RyanAir, which don't have any seat pockets at all. I do wonder if cabin crew would ask pax to take it away in take off and landing, as theoretically can hinder emergency evac, or items stored in it can fly around the cabin? A small tote/sling tied around the close tray table can serve the same; But it looks like an elegant solution.
I picked up a travel iron at the thrift store from seven zillion years ago. Also dual voltage. Smaller than that one. And like the one in the video, the handle folds down to the side. It has "TI" and then some numbers on it, as a brand. Did Texas Instruments ever make travel irons? Premium economy usually has tray tables that come out of the armrest, so the tray hanging pocket wouldn't work. Which is a shame because I too hate the airplane seat pocket black hole.
@wannaknit Thankyou!! I was about to sew myself one for a long haul flight coming up, but forgot that the premium economy tray tables aren’t drop down ones! I might still make a little liner bag to keep the seat pocket and my stuff separated…
I use that exact pill case and looove it. I always bring a few just-in-case meds because I routinely need them. I rarely use fewer than four of them while traveling, so it's very worth the tiny space to me, even in my 28L.
Thank you for your time and posting. Do you know how filthy those seat pockets are? They are "never" sterilized. Think snot rags, half-eaten food, dirty socks, etc. :) Thanks again, great job.
I'll use the tray table cover to put my portable bank in it and charge whilst I game. I also can leave my phone there until I need to use etc deffo buy

yes its a good idea to do so, some medications are even illegal in some countries
Genius
I cut off the name of the tablets from the cardboard box they come in and put it in there with the pills so I know what is what
Yes I'd be interested in a review of the iron.

The new angles makes me more curious about the space and how y'all film your videos. Might be neat to see a behind the scenes/how videos are film vid
I have the Trtl pillow and have discovered an additional use: put it behind your neck as a neck support when you’re not napping.

@@shepbostin that’s interesting. I think I’m good with mine though. 😊
Pill box for snacks?! What kind of snacks could you fit in there? Seeds or rice? 🤣🤣
I thought the same 😂
Baby sizes crackers maybe 😅🤔
My flight attendant friend said people will leave USED DIAPERS in the seat back pockets. I refuse to touch the pockets for any reason 🤢
😨😨😨
wow
Ick

I think the tackle boxes for snacks are called ‘snackle’ boxes.
Lauren between 2 shirts 🤣. Yes please review the iron
Yes I’d like to see that
I just take out the pillow part of the travel neck pillow and stuff some clothes, scarves or travel blankets ;D

I travel with my chemo and my side effects meds in a tablet case - no issues travelling to many places in europe, Japan, USA and Canada from the UK.

could you guys review travel cooking pots folding kettles also, i'd love to see some videos that are travel food products/items

I love the back and forth in these types of videos!
Honestly, the pill box for me on my last trip was a game changer! Definitely worthwhile.
I can see it being useful for the sheets thing, maybe for motels or places that don’t seem clean as a precaution.
As a fellow TSO in Las Vegas I can tell you we really don't care what you bring as long as it's not what is defined as something that could be a threat.

The Turtl keeps your neck warm on frreeeeezzzzing flights too.
Yes, please review the tiny iron

New video angles with warmer colors are great 👍
Improvements again NICE !
Thanks
The pill organizer is also great for rings and jewelry!
This format is so fun to watch!
We're glad you're enjoying it!
The TomTok sling is FABULOUS! I have 3. Wonderful for organization and security.
🤙🤙🤙
Trtl pillows are very useful spending multiple days in a hospital with someone else....
i really enjoy this format!
I vote for an iron review 🙋🏽♀️
Love this content! Make this channel more relatable to current trend. Not too much though, once a month max.
Thanks for sharing your insights! 🤙
I really appreciate this kind of videos guys :)
I actually bought to keep frequent meds in my purse and added original labeling for, included a couple that looked like pill bottles for my RX
I have had the Turtl pillow for a very long time. It's comfortable, and in a pinch I have even used it at night when the hotel pillows were not to my liking. I hate trying to stuff it in a bag, though. The shape is so annoying-I wish it could flatten out when not in use.

I'd love that iron for the occasional use in the trailer.
Yay! Another of these vlogs.
I have the pill container and love it. All about the supplements being plant based and having dry eyes; need omega 3. Won't get anything else shown here though. Thanks for the video!
Review the iron please 🙏
I have one of those pill organizer. No issues with TSA
I have this oil separator. No problems with flying in Europe. A small problem is the seal is held by friction and can dislodge easily but only when the box is open.

Great video. Please review the mini-iron.😎👍🏻
I had the trfl pillow, used on a couple of trips, then I sold it. It is too bulky, and it does not help too much on long travels.
Yesssss review the iron
What travel steamer do you recommend?
Check out our guide! packhacker.com/blog/general/best-travel-steamer/
I picked up a travel iron at the thrift store from seven zillion years ago. Also dual voltage. Smaller than that one. And like the one in the video, the handle folds down to the side. It has "TI" and then some numbers on it, as a brand. Did Texas Instruments ever make travel irons?
If you don't want to get the airplane pockets thing because you are balling on a budget, just bring a plastic grocery sack to line the actual airline pocket with, like a trash bag. Loving this style a vid :)
Thanks for watching! 😃
Love this video not just the content but the style
Thanks for watching!
I have actually been looking for a small, portable iron for a while and would be interested in a review.
Definitely need a review of the iron.
I have a different drink carrier I use a lot. (To bring drinks from the car into work)
Going INTO Dubai, I was detained because of my injector and needles. They had to find somebody who knew what it was, and once he did, the guy who detained me said, “diabetes?” I said, “yes.” He said, “I’m sorry.” Then he gave me back my insulin and let me into the country.
Really like this kind of review videos. Real life application? Yes/no kind of stuff. Congrats
I’d be interested in the iron reviewed officially. I do a LOT of business travel and need my suit to look good. The iron that hotel’s have, more often than not, are rusty/gunky/etc. The number of times I’ve heated up an iron only to have it smell like mold being cooked is stupid. I never trust the hotel iron. The concept of hanging your shirt in the shower sounds find but it really doesn’t get creases out reliably.
Great and interesting video as always! 🔥🔥🔥
love these vids.. i mean all of em are good, but these are always fun
Really enjoy this style of video!
Please review the iron!!!
Love this video, the other ones feel so scripted so this is much more pleasant to watch!
These are my fave vids with the both of you!
That's the worst travel adapter I've ever seen. Mine is a small brick, good for basically all countries, and now with a couple of USB sockets too. That thing is so unnecessary. You'd have to plan out which country you were going to, or else you've got a bundle of socket types. Crazy.
woo we get both of you! i hope i don't get spammed by tiktik videos on here now tho lol would love to see you test the iron! the tray cover is a Pass! i don't wanna carry the germs with me and need to wash it lol the plug looks great but i need more usb or sockets. and about the hotel cover, if you brang your own then you'd have to take off all the sheets and get all close with the duvet inside... i've been to many hotels that i can see right away havent been changed so if i had room perhaps id take this , or atleast just a cover for the pillow.
enjoyed the laid back vibe of this video
Great video!!
Thank you for your time and posting. Do you know how filthy those seat pockets are? They are "never" sterilized. Think snot rags, half-eaten food, dirty socks, etc. :) Thanks again, great job.
Yes Kindly review the iron
I really enjoy the interaction
I'll use the tray table cover to put my portable bank in it and charge whilst I game. I also can leave my phone there until I need to use etc deffo buy
Yes! I loving this kind of review from you guys.
PS. Crushing on Lauren ❤ I don’t see them rings on that finger either.
This was fun 😁
🤙🤙🤙
I’ve forgotten my iPad in the pocket and had to walk back like an idiot to go retrieve it lol 😅
They should pour water 💦 on more items even if the manufacturer/retailer doesn't expressly advertise the water resistantness of the items
Airplane front pockets are filthy af. I no longer use them for anything.
These videos are so fun!
In hopes that someone will read this msg!!!!
What steamer do you guys use that was portable?? 😅
Oh hi new angles!
I want that drink caddy so I can load it up with beer on a car camping trip
wait , Tom..so you're saying that a travel hairdryer will.. blowout.. I mean.. isn't that what you want it for?... 😆
😂😭
FYI Oral-B toothbrush crashers aren't dual voltage
