The more relaxed vibe is refreshing and seeing a bit of interaction to show personalities a bit more. Very watchable and interesting more than talking directly to camera
Yes! Daiso even has a better quality of the compression towels. Also in wash cloth size which are much smaller when dry. They have come in handy even in nice hotels in Europe where wash cloths are hard to come by.
Next trip should be to TJ Max & Marshall’s - both stores have a whole travel section with luggage, backpacks, etc. you can find almost everything there for half the price. I check these 2 stores first before I buy anything on Amazon. Both stores clearance their items with a red tag if they have the product too long. The same travel item can be $12.99 and then if you keep searching you might find the same item at $4.99.
The great thing about dollar stores is that if you bring something and it doesn’t work out, you can leave it behind and you’re not out a lot of money. I find dollar stores are best for cleaning supplies. Name brand items at a big discount. Oh, and Lauren, you missed the silicone zipper bags - great for just about anything!
I like the Dollar Store...but it's not the place that I would go to for travel items. Stuff there seem mostly a one-time use for me but they're good enough for quick/emergency fixes.
I take some of those compressed towels (smaller) in my pouch camping, etc. For those times you find a restroom without toilet paper. Get them wet to expand, tear in a couple of pieces and use as toilet paper. (don't flush. I put them in the trash)
the first aid kit is great for reusability. i replaced hem with curad and the silicon dressing things work great. though i do use a silicon strap to secure the lid
I was looking everywhere for a pill case, and found in the craft section at the dollar store this little seven container set that all screwed together. So if I'm going away for a weekend I can reduce it to 2 or 3 pods. Really small footprint and best solution I found to hold a bunch of daily pills not to mention cheapest. Also found some packing cubes that work ok, not great, but ok enough if you don't overstuff and use it for minimal organization.
You guys have inspired me to start my own RUclips channel. Now that I'm here, wanted to tell you thanks for all the great content. I love your recent forays outside of lists and single reviews. Love to see you in the wild :-)
I use a smaller version of the compressed towels for makeup removal when traveling, about 1/3 the size. One time use, but they are new and clean, not iffy like some hotel towels. Also don't need to travel with a damp cloth face towel in my luggage. It is one of my few travel item "splurges" but it is worth it for my face. :)
I bought a first aid kit very similar to that at a cvs years ago and reuse the container. I also added a label that says first aid on it because it’s so nondescript.
I tend to only buy birthday/event cards/balloons, dishwash soap, giftcards (when on sale), non rechargeable batteries, and disposable plates/cups for picnics at the dollar store
Nice to see this channel branching out like this - not everyone can afford top-of-the-line gear. That said, I’d take a pass on most no-name packs. Better to hit the Goodwill and get something used but of a quality brand. Or check online marketplaces.
If you're doing something with kids, compressed Towels are great. Bring some dry soap sheets and a water bottle. And you basically got a portable sink. They are great for wiping down kids. And work better the wet ones or baby wipes.
In your next video you should highlight products that are on the opposite end from dollar store items on the value/longevity spectrum: buy-it-for-life travel gear
Hoping for a review of Manscaped's Handyman portable/travel compact Face shaver? The PH website only has the Panasonic ES-RS10-S Compact Shaver review but I think this is an upgrade.
I've always wondered the point of the compressed. There's rarely ever a moment where I need a soaking wet towel... most of the times I use towels for drying
Dollar Tree has more relevant for travel and cheap -- micro fiber towels, readers glasses for the 40+ set, cheap sun glasses & the neck strap to keep them, duct tape, foot powder, toothbrushes, hair ties, glasses repair kit ...
Get a Tessan travel adapter before your next trip.

Thanks for the feedback! 😃
Am I the only one nosey and curious is they are together 😅
Daiso would be a great next stop -- most items around $1.50 US

They are $1.75 in my area
Totally agree they have a great catalog

Thanks for sharing your insights! 🤙
I would love a round up of decathlon gear
+1! This would be very interesting.
Agreed!
Thanks for the suggestion! I’ll pass it along.
I loved the non-scripted back and forth!! This was genuinely so fun to watch and see your personalities shine even more!
Thanks for the feedback! 😃
I kinda want an adapter roundup including the Genki Covert Dock and the SlimQ 240 watt brick

TJ Maxx is where you should shop next.

(And I am always carrying water on me anyway so can use that if I hae to to expand)

I'm Andrew. I personally wouldn't cheap out on luggage (backpacks, etc.), tech gear, or footwear. I'd definitely not cheap out on footwear.

Hey guys great video as usual. how about the ONE dollar store? Keep it up !
I tend to only buy birthday/event cards/balloons, dishwash soap, giftcards (when on sale), non rechargeable batteries, and disposable plates/cups for picnics at the dollar store
Those snack containers are great for a deck of cards for travel.
Lauren- What sling are you using?
Please can you do more international shops ? I'm watching you guys from French Riviera. Thanks for these vids, I love them!

Could you please share the details of the sling that you are using when you are in the store? ❤
Tom, what brand is your bracelet(purple/blue)?
Why do all the videos have like a white filter on it? The colors are not as saturated as when they film off the side (minute 1:55)
You should try Daiso also
Lauren, what brand black hat are you wearing in the store video?
Very disappointed of not having the free foot content smh
I wouldn't even walk inside a Dollar Store!

Right before I travel, I like to buy fresh fruits, especially grapes, and then head over to Dollar Tree for their wide variety of snacks.
What is your go-to snack?!
@@PackHacker Gummies (especially Welch’s), miniature Pepperidge Farm Chessmen cookies, pretzels, and M&Ms!
Trail mix with chocolate and dried fruit!
@@PackHacker Milk duds for home movie nite (not for travel).
An ad break after every category in a 19 min video is insane. They were all pretty long and none were skippable. Yikes.
Gotta get the Premium account! 🤙
Not that amount in France but when it's that I am crazy
Damn, good try Lauren trying to get us some exclusive Tom content... 👀
Also do a video on items from Daiso!!😊

16:14 shoes. Shoes. Oh My Gawd! SHOES .... showing your age a bit with the reference.

In my experience, carepak is one of the better off-brand bandages. They're still nowhere near bandaid quality, but I've used far worse.
The Tessan 65W adapter is sold out 😢
You guys shopped at Family Dollar and dollar tree but don’t forget there is Dollar General
Hard no for most things at the Dollar store but these videos are fun! Do TJMaxx/Marshalls next!
👀👀👀
Again with the plastic bags 😢... Why not bring your own bag?
