He was getting passed around by some of the male gods also since he had a androgynous approach. The moment they found him he was trapped. @@Duck-zf5pb My headcanon is that it was a moment of weakness on Hades's part, given that he was meeting an old lover of his, but he quickly came back to his senses as his love was now for Persephone. And simultaneously Persephone was swooning over Adonis behind Hades's Back. After the whole Adonis thing, Hades approached Persephone to tell her about what almost happened between him and Mynthe, taking pride in his loyalty and devotion to her, how he managed stay strong in the face of Mynthe's seduction however close she got to seizing him, and that is when Persephone confessed about what had been going on between her, Aphrodite and Adonis. Hades just embraced her, both laughing off the coincidence of how both of them were going through similar situations at the same time. But inside, what Persephone said almost broke Hades, in face of seduction, he stayed devoted to her, while she in face of a mere mortal that was happily spending his days with Aphrodite, she went on his pursuit. That is when the thought that his devotion to Persephone might just not be enough after all to keep her happy started to seep into his mind, and it was what pushed him to change his attitudes and appearance to be closer to Adonis.

I love Greek myths. Even the gods are helpless to fight their own inner lusts and passions. Imagine gods who are all powerful, but not all good. Sometimes, you can make a case that the Greek gods better mirrored reality than any other Western religion. Sometimes it's very hard to believe that an all loving God is running the Universe. Christians spend much of their time "apologizing" for God the Father when compared to his running of things. The Greeks didn't have to. They accepted the wild, irrational nature of life as a given.
Yet there is not a greek today that still worships them. So much for imitating reality. At least my religion is real. Also my people don't apologize on behalf of God. The Greeks do tho.
Imagine that Aphrodite extinguished love between Hades and Persephone and made their marriage unbearable. Oh wait she did it and that was a short fracture of Aphrodite's power. What if Aphrodite would've refused Zeus 's idea and kept love extinguished forever? Nobody can command the goddess of love on how to use her power.
I vividly recall one myth where even Zeus was restrained by other Olympians. If all other gods got fed with Zeus then I doubt Aphrodite would fare any better.
@@wankingmiracle7470Aphrodite with a single look can make anyone falls under her spell. I don't think Zeus would dare to anger her since she has the power over love. Zeus refused to choose between Hera, Athena and Aphrodite because he knew that Aphrodite cursed so many gods and mortals who insulted her, Athena woul've refused to conquer her father's enemies and Hera has angry issues.
@@wankingmiracle7470 is there a passage that denies her powers and influence? One of the few Greek myths I've never read or heard off. What it's history? we're about is this myth mostly told in ancient Greek? What century? Wow. I must study and research this tell. Well done. There are only a few story that not many people who are into Greek myths know. This reminds me of a story in the Bible where two women were fighting over a baby and to resolve the conflict a man said he would cut the child in two so they could both have it.
Nah it's personal safety, imagine Hera's mythical rants and bickering multiplied by Afrodite not using her powers. And also none of the myriads nymphs and mortals not into Zeus's advances. It's clearly self preservation from his behalf.

Aphrodite seemed like a badass!🔥
Some myths claim after the 3rds between the goddess it came for him to choose one. But he chose Aphrodite and Persephone vanished Adonis’s soul
She vanished him out of existence?
@@devionewilkins8903 If she couldn’t have him, no one will
@@b.radleypro.369 whoa. That’s very dark. Even for Greek Mythology. And the tales from Greek Myths are 😳 Yikes
So who the 3rd ones?
The comics and narration are really great
Tate better start taking notes.
Also the fact Persophone wasnt actually in love with Adonis until getting the Arrow rather being happy for Aphrodite is a true friend right there.
This is a very good series.
Thank you.
Love the art keep up the work and hope for a Aphrodite and Ares video.
Wow a Greek Mythology story that kind of had a happy ending that's surprising.
In a way this is a Greek mythology version of Archie, Betty and Veronica
Then who would be Jughead?
@@CollegeBallYouknow Hercules? Perseus?
@@TheAnimalKingdom-tq3sz I think it would most likely be Dionysus, since he whisked him away when Aphrodite and Persephone were fighting over him.
@@smartguy458 Is Ares Reggie?
@@colinpreston80 Well, Reggie IS that one friend that no one likes, and Ares is not well liked by anyone who isn't Aphrodite or the Spartans, so possibly.
Adonis got some serious rizz
Thanks for sharing this information have a marvelous day ❤
Persephone: "not taking no for an answer"
Zeus: *She just like me for real!*
I feel so bad for this dude, two crazy goddesses fighting over him. And the dude unintentionally made enemies with Hades and Ares, who I will remind you, aren’t the type of people you want to be beefing with.
FINALLY! I've waited so long for Adonis' story in this style. I really thought he was going to be blonde with blue eyes though.
Why was Persephone so delighted to see the two in the woods. Was she gonna get off from watching the two doing the nasty?
Hamza's term "become Adonis" has a whole new meaning here I can see why a guy would want to
I love Greek myths.
@@patriciafrancis1514 Debatable
thanks to Greeks from Anatolia Christianity spread
they're wicked gods
and the only true God are the most holy and His son is Jesus christ
Bla bla bla, whatever you say pagan
According to Hesiod, Aphrodite was the daughter of the two primordial gods, sky (Uranus) and sea (Pontus) if we are talking about her origins. Zeus refused to choose between Hera, Athena and Aphrodite because he knew that Aphrodite cursed so many gods and mortals who insulted her, Athena woul've refused to conquer her father's enemies and Hera has angry issues.
@@marian1000brb Is there passage that confirms that Aphrodite's power work on fellow gods?
@@wankingmiracle7470 is there a passage that denies her powers and influence? Her power doesn't affect Athena, Hestia and Artemis because of their vow of chastity, the vow Aphrodite was forced to respect.
Homer, Iliad 14. 159 & 187 ff (trans. Lattimore) (Greek epic C8th B.C.) :
"She called aside Aphrodite to come away from the rest of the gods, and spoke a word to her : ‘. . . Give me loveliness and desirability, graces with which you overwhelm mortal men, and all the immortals."
Sounds like Ares would be pretty stoked. No love would mean a huge rise in war.
An Epic of Gilgamesh-animation would be cool!
Jeffery pulls no bitch*s, he hasn't felt the touch of a woman since he was born.
ADONISSSSSSSSSS, adonis is getting too many options, his Chad energy is so strong even the gods have fallen in love with him -hamza
I thank Adonis, The First Gigachad for embracing our world.
Actually this guy was so beautiful that it wasn't only Aphrodite and Persephone that loved him, but also Apollo, Heracles and even Dionysus.
*Surprised Pikachu face
7:30 Wow that was totally awesome about story of Adonis: The Man Disputed by Two Goddesses. Seriously Persephone and Aphrodite are falling in love Adonis, but that was great story.
What a guy Adonis is to not only have 2 God's fighting over him but the fact that those God's are also mother and daughter.
😳
And technically as Aphrodite came from the sea foam of Ouranos's (Hades' grandfather) severed testicles, she is more like Persephone's great-aunt...so yeah, you're being fought over by your adopted mother and her grand aunt. A really, really, *REALLY* hot grand-aunt.
@@lovingthelord25 he meant they were both mothers and doughters

@@linguini6738 Wow you’re telling me these two women were daughters of someone??? Wow!😮
Adonis: Breathes

Today I learned Greece invented the anime protagonist.
Adonis:the first man to have a harem of godesses.
I now know the reason why some of the gods have bad relationships also since when did Aphrodite become your average anime waifu
One of the few Greek myths I've never read or heard off. What it's history? we're about is this myth mostly told in ancient Greek? What century? Wow. I must study and research this tell. Well done. There are only a few story that not many people who are into Greek myths know. I bet this one of them.. .like before the 1st gods and goddess, out of Cheos, a female and a snake came out 1st and created gaia, nyx, unarnus, etc.. can't remember the names of the deity,s. great show.👍😊
to all questions, the myth is unreliable and likely a self insert of the writer, as for century if I had to guess 400 bc
@@neros398 Tf do you mean “unreliable”? This is an actual myth
This is who Hamza talks about
Adonis... Adonis is a man, a gladiator, a WARRIOR. Women love Adonis...
The fact that amongst Zeus, Peseidon and Hades, only Hades is loyal to his wife, and that too, ended with his wife being disloyal makes me feel bad
Hades had Minthe
💛 all your video's mate 👍.
Daaaang algorithim has NOT shown me your stuff 😓 found you on subs tab, happy to ring the bell for next time.
The fact that Eros became a wingman for his own mother is still killing me 😂
This reminds me of a story in the Bible where two women were fighting over a baby and to resolve the conflict a man said he would cut the child in two so they could both have it.
The man was Solomon, the last king of kingdom of Israel and Judah
King Solomon, he was very wise
Ah, Solomon.
He was testing the women. Eventually, he gave the baby back to the mother and then punish the woman who support his idea.
And the lady who also wanted the baby gave in and said she could have them.
Man, Hades can't catch a break. First Zeus pulled a fast one on him and now a pretty boy.
So this is the guy Hamza has been talking about. Now I have one more reason to grind. Keep up the grind kings!
Can you make a video on the mythology for Jeffry next?
And Zeus is the wisest in this story...
Nah it's personal safety, imagine Hera's mythical rants and bickering multiplied by Afrodite not using her powers.
And also none of the myriads nymphs and mortals not into Zeus's advances.
It's clearly self preservation from his behalf.
Imagine being such a Chad that two Goddesses permanently change the weather just to be with you, all because you simply existed
