pretty sure this is why so many recent Sentai/PR seasons combine roleplay toys and mechs so often makes me wonder why no one's iterating on the Dino Transblasters or whatever
The blade robot is awesome, not gonna lie. The combined form stands like it has a hernia, which is quite understandable considering the backpack twice the size of the robot.
You know what? The sword robot from Dragon Force S4 truly reminds me of Sentinel Knight from PR. Feels like Dragon Force by Bluearc nowadays tried to be like Miniforce
Company *sticks 2 massive lumps of plastic to the back of a figure* "For some reason this robot won't stand up, I wonder why?" Looks amazing, but very little play in the combined mode.
i don't have the armored version, but use a doll stand to help it stand on your shelf. the "Dragon Force Transforming Robot Sword Knight" is definitely one of my favorite robots ever. When i bought mine, i don't think they made this. I do recall a smaller combiner in the same sales slot for Aliexpress.
That's cause pretty much its that exact toy and transformation, just retooled and tbh I think this mold is better but colours were better on the old one
I can kinda see why some of those old sentai combiners have no leg articulation just so they can hold the enormous weight in the ultimate combined form. This figure should probably have some way to lock the legs in place. It may lose leg articulation but this figure does not need that
I always wondered about this combined form. Glad I never bought it. They missed a good opportunity for the axe to become actual wings rather than a flat piece of plastic
The sword-guy you said feels Power Rangers-y; he's definitely got almost the exact same transformation as the Sentinel Knight from Operation Overdrive.
This is actually a really cool figure, it reminds me of the Superhuman Samurai Syber Squad toys. The one where you had that awesome Servo action figure and then you had Drago and Xenon who could be dismantled to turn into armor for him to make Phormo and Synchro. Of course the backpack on this thing is way too excessive, no wonder the figure is back heavy
I’ve got the non combining versions of these. Got them off SirToys before it vanished. It’s weird, the sword seems the same as the version in that, with combining ports and all. He also came with a miniature sword form of himself which he can hold. What’s even weirder is the blue robot legs seem the same as the ones with the non combiners.
Ok if anyone wants to know. The show this is from is called 时空战记. As far as I can tell all episodes of it are available on youtube but it's a show meant for chinese kids so dunno how much that means for your experience
0:38 Possibly a kuranai. 1:14 Please, you're *spoiling* him. The Sai should have been its Shield to off-set the weight behind him (I don't know if it can pose the left arm, but even some Gundams can't pose with their own shield anyways) The combination is not bad, just as usual with poor weak legs can't handle the weight of the backpack.
I only have a nostalgic interest in Power Rangers, but these figures are friggin’ cool. I remember when I was working on a Quake 2 mod called Transformers Quake (original, I know), I was working on designing custom Transformers and I was trying to design a sword Transformer and these are pretty much exactly how I envisioned them at the ripe old age of 15/16, haha. I’m genuinely curious about how these work in the show or whatever. I can tell they’re zords because of the cockpits, but who or what wields them???
The reason the main robot looks like something from Power Rangers. Is because it is something from Power Rangers. Power rangers Operation overdrive the Sword Excelsior which merged with the Sentel Knight when in sword form he was tge red rangers Batalizer for that season Also in OO he was gold
There's a lot of stuff that you review that, while I think are neat, ar not for me. This guy i might pick up. Doesn't fit at all in my collection but he's really cool.
Power ranger weapons that transform into robots, 30 years ago I would have lost my mind over toys like that
there was One in Opriation Overdrive i thougt
pretty sure this is why so many recent Sentai/PR seasons combine roleplay toys and mechs so often

@@DragonTyer you all correct It was named Sentinel night
Zubaan is back-- and he's brought some friends!
Gonna tell my kids that's the Star Saber and this was Mighty Magiswords
The blade robot is awesome, not gonna lie.

Ah yes you mean Great Sword Man Zuuban

Orange is clearly a Phillips head screwdriver
Every girl's crazy 'bout a sharp dressed man...
the Sword remind me of that one Sword from Power Ranger Opation Overdrive
Sentinel Knight from Power Rangers Operation Overdrive, or Zubaan from Go Go Sentai Boukenger.
@@MrAqr2598 Zu Zu
Zu zu zubaan!!
That's cause pretty much its that exact toy and transformation, just retooled and tbh I think this mold is better but colours were better on the old one
I'm really enjoying have regular videos from Balt again.
I can kinda see why some of those old sentai combiners have no leg articulation just so they can hold the enormous weight in the ultimate combined form. This figure should probably have some way to lock the legs in place. It may lose leg articulation but this figure does not need that
2:52 it is it looks like the sword from power rangers overdrive/ bokenger
Sentinel Knight/Zubaan.
ZUBAAN
Yeah my thoughts exactly
A weapon combiner was not something I knew I needed.
i have the white/red/gold mini-sword dude...he's AWESOME...except his ankles are week
Sword guy feels ever Power Ranger-y becuase Power Rangers had a Sword guy very similar to that: Sentinel Knight. Exact same transformation even.
Rodimus is a taser!
Sentinel Knight returns!
I can see kibble to the knife and spike.
Axe and Sai have traces but Knife and Spike are most apparent.
ive been wating your vids since i was a kid, dude your toy reviews are always awesome
Sword feels more Power Rangers to you, because that’s exactly the same Edgar Meg as the sentinel night
This mode looks like power rangers operation overdrive sentinel knight
Man...this kind of stuff makes me miss SirToys
Combination feels very Yuusha/brave series. I like
The red and white sword is giving me some MAJOR Power Rangers Operation Overdrive Sentinel Knight vibes.
Feels like a bow is missing, for some reason!
02:36 Looks like a Guymelef from Escaflowne anime 👌🏻👌🏻😮😳
I always wondered about this combined form. Glad I never bought it. They missed a good opportunity for the axe to become actual wings rather than a flat piece of plastic
Deathsaurus if he was even cooler:
There was a power ranger toy that was a golden sword that turned in to a golden robot
This is what you get when you cross Power Rangers with Gridman
Hnnn... The combined mode's head puts me in mind of Black Might Gaine.
The sword-guy you said feels Power Rangers-y; he's definitely got almost the exact same transformation as the Sentinel Knight from Operation Overdrive.

Yup, the sword bot "Racing Flame" is the same as the individual one. I called these "Dragon Force S4".
The sword does give me Sentinel Knight vibes.
2:59 JIGGLE PHYSICS 💀💀💀💀💀
Ok if anyone wants to know.
The show this is from is called 时空战记. As far as I can tell all episodes of it are available on youtube but it's a show meant for chinese kids so dunno how much that means for your experience
Were the toes of the white guy supposed to stick up or did Balt miss a step?
0:38 Possibly a kuranai.

That sounds like it would have been an amazing mod. How far did you get?
Awesome
Mystic Force vibes all over the main bot.
That robot would have a really bad back pain
The sword guy looks like gallantmon from digimon tamers
I have this sword for my Sentinel Knight/ Zubaan collection :) it is on the bootleg shelf.
I'm curious as to if the sword one that turns into the robot can be held by a titan class figure😂
2:10 HEY LOOK ITS ZUUBAAAAAAAN from Boukenger aka Operation overdrive ROFL XD
The reason the main robot looks like something from Power Rangers. Is because it is something from Power Rangers.
Power rangers Operation overdrive the Sword Excelsior which merged with the Sentel Knight when in sword form he was tge red rangers Batalizer for that season

Have you tried just doing the combination mode but leave out the two giant weapons in the back(or just leave out the axe)
I bought the invidual robots, I just reviewed them on my channel.
the blue triden thing can go as a Ship if you ask me
Calling it now. The sword dude's name would be saber blade
I mean Combiner Wars Hot Rod used his wing as an axe, so
2:17 Sentinel Knight lookin
I was thinking mystic force
Operation overdrive the transforming sword I just can’t remember the name
those aren't pats there knee high boost, pants infers they go all the way up to the wast.
Zubaan and Gridman knock off, and now you can’t Unsee it
Hmmm more like greaves than pants lol
