Happy Sunday beautiful people! We hope you enjoyed this different style of video from us, we're excited to try out new things like this in 2023! If you enjoyed the video, make sure you head over to Brett and Mels channel to watch their 24 hours in the troopy! - ruclips.net/video/8FRdk1fTfBM/видео.html
@20:19 I would agree with Megan on both questions. Don't rush into having kids or getting a caravan. Enjoy the life you are leading while you can. The time to settle down with kids and a caravan will come when you're ready. A fun and enjoyable video to watch. Looks like everyone had a great time!
I laughed out loud literally when Megan said in the bloppers she thought Jack was going to say it was a dead end and she nearly threw up 🤣 I feel the pain Megan ❤️
Soooo one thing we've all learned from this, is you guys are great with kids! "It does look good hey" - Jack, admiring the Troopy. Cool, classic style vlog video of you guys experiencing caravan life. Episodes without the Troopy are so crazy, the Troopy is one of the main characters of your channel. Kinda glad Megan mentioned the Troopy feeling like home and not wanting a caravan anytime soon.
It does look good hey!! Love my Troopy mate. The Troopy really does feel like home. Can you believe it’s almost been 2 years living out of it! Crazy hey.
great experience you made, love the idea of trying out something new , it is like having a workshop experience, including the kids 😊 oh yea! a diesel heater is great, have one in our blue Troopy as well, do not want to miss it anymore. easy to install, with your proofed technical experience you will manage it on your own but for safety reasons I would ask a dealer’s workshop to do. we have also a 10l water boiler for outdoor shower, comfort comes close to indoor shower. you see, Troopy has lots of potential and flexibility for two, and if kids are with you, Troopy is happy to tow a camper trailer or caravan. We would for sure not give our Troopy away, never ever! Cheers guys !
Great video. My 2 cents worth. Jack and Megan....get a diesel heater installed in the troopy. We've had one in our troopy now for 10 years and it's a game changer. Even when days are nice, its often cold at night and certainly in the mornings. Makes it easy to get changed and the clothes are warm. Remember those days in Tassie where it rained and was freezing. You could be in tee shirts inside just relaxing. It's an easy install. Keep the adventures coming.
Hi I'm Suz, Brett's Mum & Kaylee & Owen's Granzee. Loved your Vlog. Great experience to swap lifestyles for a day! It was Fun. You will make good parents one day. Give the kids Gameboys & unlimited biscuits! They loved you guys & gave you big hugs❣️ Safe travels.🥰
Loving the videos guys! we watch them every Sunday morning as soon as they come out! This episode was really awesome and helpful for us as we are currently tossing up between a caravan/ hybrid or setting up the new car as a little home on wheels! few really good points mentioned! Thankyou! keep it up
We really appreciate that guys! So happy to hear you're enjoying the videos. Caravan is definitely great for those creature comforts but we have learned to not really feel the need for them over the years! It's definitely an adjustment though 😂 thanks again for watching!
Absolutely loved this video, the shape of things to come huh, two kids and all the luxury of a home on wheels, what's next ! a dog or cat maybe ?, I must admit I have done all of that from car, tent and onto van living, then Caravans and loved it all, but now prefer the Caravan life. All the best Jack and Megan safe travels.
Great vid! Awesome to see the laughter. We have recently upgraded from slide on camper to full caravan, Big change in luxury, loving it! Hope to see you all on the road one day :)
Yes after freezing our way across Australia when free camping (in our small off-road caravan) we got a diesel heater installed …life changing .. we did our time and lots of kilometres in our troopy and roof top tent but if you want comfort and privacy a caravan is definitely a desirable luxury … but the Troopy suits your style of travel as you said and much more interesting to watch!
Looked like a glimpse into the future....car full off kids and a van in tow 🤣🤣..wait that was me...swag,wife,tent, kids, camper trailer, caravan and back to tent as kids flown the coop and doing their own camping.. Great video as always..enjoying your Tazzy travels..
We loved this episode of the pair of you with the kids - so typical adult behaviours ( we have 2 grandies 7yrs & 10yrs old - we are the same with them !! Wear them out and bring on the devices 😂🤣. Mind you we love them traveling with us ( short trips only ) 😂🤣
I moved from tent to camper trailer (marlin escape) a couple of years ago, never missed the tent. Depending on the level of comfort, maybe a smaller caravan or camper trailer (cub weekender) could be considered as an alternative. You both look quite happy & natural with the 2 munchkins.😃
Hi Guys, what a great experiment and I wasn't surprised that you both preferred the Trippy. Having all the bells and whistles isn't the be all and end all. I could see you both being terrific parents, especially you Megan. Great video as usual, thanks again for letting me share your life. Take care please. Looking forward to seeing your next vlog. Smokey
Yeah it's amazing how much we have gotten used to life in the troopy! Definitely still find ourselves wishing for a bit more space in times like work/admin days or bad weather but the pros still outweigh the cons for us! So happy to hear you enjoyed this one, see you next week! ☺️☺️
Great vid guys , nice change of pace . Sometimes less is more , you would go to more places in the troopy than if you were towing a large van , thinking if you might get stuck etc. , if I was in a position to travel I'd probably go with a teardrop / squaredrop camper , light and compact with a rear kitchen setup , doors on both sides for easy access . I've had it in mind to build one for ages , a happy compromise between a van and no van I reckon . Those kids certainly took a shine to you both , everybody had fun 🙂
lol ... thanks for the laughs ... arrived in Tassie last night and doing a shop this morning before heading ... somewhere *shrugs* ... where are you guys? might see ya for a coffee at a camp somewhere?
Thanks for watching! So glad you enjoyed this one. This was actually filmed a while back and we are back on the mainland now! Anywhere you go in Tassie will be great, we hope you love it as much as we did!
Megan and Jack that was such a laugh from start to finish. Uncle Jack let's go 🤣 Megans comment Nothing to be frightened of 🤣🤣 The dance class would of energised the kids more 🤣🤣 How not to parent ( gameboys ) 🤣 You two will make the best parents You did a pretty awesome job with the kids 😍😍 Another great video 🥰🥰🥰
Lol. This was a good one. Instant van and parents….. and you could give them back!!!! How are you going with drone usage in Tassie? So many national parks there.
Great experiment but one night is probably not enough time to really know what it would be like to towing all the time and having to plan everywhere you go. Does the rig fit into the campsite, more space more work, more fuel consumption etc. a lot to think about hey? I do like the freedom you have with the troopy setup!
Yesss agreed! We did think that it would take a bit longer to really get a feel for it and see how we feel about it! Yeah definitely a lot more to think about and probably not the best for us considering how bad we are at planning ahead 😂
Hey Jack. I particularly love your camera work (or Megan's). And like I said it was a really fun clip. However you hill climb we missed the "feel" of the incline. But its really hard to achieve. The best there ever was was Man From Snowy River, pony down the mountain slope scene. Wow it was something! It would accelerated your video from Awesome to . . . Awesome.? Don't ya hate modern language I'm 64 the always use the top level words for everything, my way from pretty good to Mickey Mouse. Good luck Dave
Yeah I guess that’s another win for the troopy, usually I would jump out of the car and film that kind of thing from the outside but we didn’t want to risk stopping with the caravan 😆
I like the idea of the troopy although the mrs would like a van we ordered a troopy about six months ago waiting waiting 😊 My idea is your home is always with you and you don’t have to go back for anything I remember we stayed at a Airbnb place at Airlie beach went for a drive all the way to Eungella national park now if I didn’t have the Airbnb place I would have just stayed there but had to go back for the house I guess would be similar with a van you would always have to go back I think having the troopy would allow you more freedom Of course a van would be comfortable I guess it’s all a compromise Love ya videos was good to see the tassie ones as it probably will be one of the first places we go when the the troopy ever gets here Cheers Jason
I reckon you guys would love having a small caravan. Would be less set up time than the alucab unless you have an awning out. That’s the way we are thinking. Buy a decent tow rig and a small caravan. Our coaster is soo limiting in where we can go.
Here am I thinking why the heck would they trade the caravan for the troopie then you introduce the kids ! 🤣 now it all makes sense. Good on you guys , love it ❤️
Hahaha just a little catch! We'll take on babysitting for a comfy sleep and shower every now and then though 😂 So happy to hear you enjoyed this one, thanks for watching!
Interesting vid with the swap and all....but I think the troopy better suits a single person than a van. I have an MDC FORBES 13 and It goes anywhere my 4wd goes and it comfortably suits 2ppl and and two dogs...so looking at you two in the troopy looks a bit cramped and nowhere near the comfort of a offroad van...just saying. Cheers Jack.

So cool how u could experience that. Use didn't struggle. But u could see Steven struggling

I love the crossover! Also got a lot of insights about the Troopy (thanks Brett & Mel), which was great.
Thanks for watching Richard! 2 very different setups hey!
Your welcome Richard. It was a massive eye opener for us 😁
This was a really good idea to experience caravan life . And when the time comes you 2 will make awesome parents . Take care guys .
Thanks so much Brett! 🥰
Haha, you rookie mistake, you can't wear my kids out 🤣. Such a fun experience.
😂😂😂

@Jack & Megan Thks Jack & Megan'. Love them so much❣️Keep enjoying your travels & exploring Australia. 🥰
I agree with the kids, that was good content! The most wholesome thing I've seen in ages.
Hahaha I lost it at that comment, learning the RUclips game young 😂😂 So glad you enjoyed it Christopher!
You guys are going to be great parents one day......entertaining video. Thanks.
Haha maybe one day! Thanks for watching Heather, so glad you enjoyed this one!
Hahah the kids said good content. Megan kids never get tired
Great episode, you both look ready for family and van life!
Very possible!!

No worries Luke! Brett and Mel are lovely people! So are their kids!
Love the video guys. So cool to see the swap. Meagan kids suit u.
Great vid! Awesome to see the laughter. We have recently upgraded from slide on camper to full caravan, Big change in luxury, loving it! Hope to see you all on the road one day :)

Great video guys and loved watching the comparisons. Keep enjoying the good life :)
Thanks for watching Brendan! So glad you enjoyed this one ☺️

We really enjoyed hanging out with the kiddos!! So much fun but require a lot of energy haha maybe a few more years for us haha
Megan & Jack thanks for the video 👍👍👍
Another different but great video. Safe travels and I look forward to the next one 😊
Thanks so much Kerry! We are so excited to share our last Tassie vlog next Sunday!
Uncle Jack and Aunty Megan you made us laugh🤣🤣🤣 you guys will be hilarious parents when it’s time😂 no patience😅😊
hahah it will be one hell of a time that's for sure hahah
Happy Sunday Jack and Megan
Happy Sunday guys!! Hope you enjoy the episode 😀

Troopy, not trippy, I forgot to check the spell correct !!

Was good do try something little different we have looked into those teardrop setups I like the Jayco ones! Hope your well mate 👍😊
Well done Mum & Dad - Trainees. Good insight into the 2 methods of travelling.
Haha thanks Greg!

Thinking that getting the kids to tire out through dancing made me laugh. You guys were going to tire out long before they were. =)
We did not have a clue what classic hey!
Awesome, once again. Thank you 👍
Thanks for watching Deirdre! 🙏🏼☺️
Troopy all the way! Bit more rustic but it's a great way to travel.
Defo know what you mean with the quirks too
We do love our troopy!!
Megan and Jack that was such a laugh from start to finish.
Uncle Jack let's go 🤣
Megans comment Nothing to be frightened of 🤣🤣
The dance class would of energised the kids more 🤣🤣
How not to parent ( gameboys ) 🤣

You did a pretty awesome job with the kids 😍😍
Another great video 🥰🥰🥰
Haha thanks so much Mel! So happy to hear you enjoyed it as much as we did 🥰
That was a beautiful video, so funny, cool experience for you both
Glad you enjoyed it!
Great video guys it's a good way to see if you can handle kids and a van. Vans do limit you at times but i would not go back all the best Ron
I enjoyed watching the video! You guys will be great parents someday)
So glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for watching 🥰
Hope you guys are doing well and having a great time in 2023
Awesome video guys just gold 👌
So glad you enjoyed it 🥰
Lol. This was a good one.
Instant van and parents….. and you could give them back!!!!
How are you going with drone usage in Tassie? So many national parks there.
Haha glad you enjoyed it! Yeah definitely missed getting more of those aerial shots but it’s all beautiful down there!
Wow that was a lot of fun!!!
So glad you enjoyed it David! 🥰
Amazing video
Feel free to babysit anytime hehe
Loved you reading the kids stories, such a cute moment.
So cute hey! you have to beautiful children Mel :)
Haha what was the problem. Good sense of humour
Oh and we get two kids too 🤣🤣🤣 Great vid 🙌
😂😂😂 What a classic hey!

I guess would be similar with a van you would always have to go back
I think having the troopy would allow you more freedom
Of course a van would be comfortable I guess it’s all a compromise
Love ya videos was good to see the tassie ones as it probably will be one of the first places we go when the the troopy ever gets here

Happy Sunday Macka! Thanks for watching 😊
$2 package at Safeway.
Lmao, you pair would be good parents lol. The joys of kids 😂😂

Kinda feels like an episode of rent a family.
The start of a new way of living. Ha Ha
Haha it may have put us on the path for a new house but definitely won't be calling ourselves caravaners any time soon 😆 thanks for watching Brian!
Just watch the other 1. Now here
Troopy is good as to travel with & caravan would be good but your fuel consumption would be up towing
So true! We didn't even think to mention that! Another tick for the troopy 😆

Is it’s time for a change,
We're thinking the same thing Barry! Probably not a caravan though 🤭
🎥👍
Thanks for watching 😃
Great video - you need kids👍
Not any time soon 😂
Jack looks stressed.
