i used to rarely watch musicals and theater recordings, but after I accidentally found out about "cabaret" and came across the 1993 version, I was speechless. i’m crazy about this musical, I got so many emotions in an hour that I am completely enchanted. most likely, the only musical, the whole plot of which I experienced and thought through the further events. it’s wonderful!!

I know a lot of people got used to this production and Alan Cummings’ choices, but the revival is a really cool take with an approach much closer to the original portrayal of the Emcee. Im excited for more clips of the production!!
Why are people so dramatic? The current production is incredible. It’s art, of course there’s going to be a different interpretation based on who plays the character.
this actress playing Sally Bowles did a wonderful job, however Liza Minelli did to this character what Patti LuPone did to Evita. There truly is no one else that can play Sally Bowles quite like Liza.
my only qualm with Liza is that because she’s so talented, Sally is portrayed as incredibly talented. Really, Sally is pretty mediocre, which is why she’s still performing at the KitKat club (her mediocrity is portrayed in ‘cabaret’ really well but i don’t need to go on another tangent lol). Alas i agree that Liza is such a wonderful interpretation of her!!!!!

Not sure about Money. Maybe This Time was written for someone else and only added into the movie, not the slime tutorial.
The Money Song was replaced by Money, Money and Maybe This Time was another of the original songs for the film (it was meant for another singer and added to the film)

Yellow star marks him as Jewish, pink triangle is gay. I'm not certain about the red star - red triangles were used to denote political prisoners though so maybe that's what they were going for?

@@cringe7576 with the original lyrics it says they call Rosie because of the color of her cheeks, not on her face but her butt cheeks. And for Frenchie he says he likes to order frenchie on the side (like French fries) and then tells her to get on her side (a s*x position).

I know a lot of people got used to this production and Alan Cummings’ choices, but the revival is a really cool take with an approach much closer to the original portrayal of the Emcee. Im excited for more clips of the production!!

my only qualm with Liza is that because she’s so talented, Sally is portrayed as incredibly talented. Really, Sally is pretty mediocre, which is why she’s still performing at the KitKat club (her mediocrity is portrayed in ‘cabaret’ really well but i don’t need to go on another tangent lol). Alas i agree that Liza is such a wonderful interpretation of her!!!!!
