Today I talk about The Dagda, his power, the Names upon him and the ones he gives upon himself. We also talk about the source of those names and we need to give a content warning for mention of non consensual physical interactions. All in all its a Dagda Talk by a Dagda Bard and even includes a bit of a rant towards the end if you stick around..

What a thoughtful take on the Dagda; the meeting with Indech's daughter was especially curious to me. Tying it to Indech's daughter gaining her own will through the Dagda's suffering is fascinating. I'm happy to have found your work!

He sounds like the definition of hero; humility and persistence in the face of great adversity

The story of the Dagda playing the three strains after the Formorians ransacked his home is literally the coolest myth I’ve ever heard ever. Thank you.

I enjoyed this so, so much.
The Daghda, hmm, has been watching me or being near me for a while. And slowly, ive moved closer. He has been patient and waiting for me to be ready. I took my first step by talking and saying OK, we can erase the gap between us know. I asked if I could touch his face and He said I could.....its a very BIG face, as it was presented, like huge....so my hand was very small on His cheek.....but when I touched His, the way I felt, I looked into His eyes and said, "You're the one!" Realizing, He has always been watching over me. That's what I felt now, that He is present because of what my needs are at this moment of life, and He is basically taking care of me, watching over. But, the recognition goes back some 40 years ago, when something was going on in my life and I called out for help, not to anyone but just in a deep torment, called out. I was cup by a giant hand, I felt like a baby being held in that hand, snuggled, rest, comfort. I realized An Daghda is who's hand that was. No idea where it goes from here. But I kinda like Him.

Thank you for this video and all of the others that have lead to this one. Watching your (and Lora's and the rest of the IPS of course) videos have become the highlight of my days. I have you to thank for starting to develop a relationship to Deity that I did not think was possible for myself. I look forward to listening to you today and everyday. GRMA
