THE best things about the redcat ascent is they're $200 less than traxxas, + everyone wants one!😁 AND, the most 'bang 4 the buck' available worldwide!
They're just gotta keep getting better, betcha Redcat is watching these kinda youtube videos taking notes what to improve next.

Watching & I dare say taking notes as to what the 'need' to do to the next version. Imho, if I were to take any 'basic' crawler, I'd do everything they did (& have!🤷♂️!) From my scx10 v1/v2 days up until my LHS owner showed me this.

I'd swap the box stock's chassis with the DSM Rock Warrior one and do the test again. That way you have a Fusion, DSM and the stock with brass.

Tires, the great equalizer! Now, spend some time tuning those shocks and you have one hell of a crawler there!
I’m glad this truck exists. It seems to be bringing a lot of interest to the comp side and that’s what I’ve been doing lately.
However in my opinion there’s a lot of unearned hype around this truck. I’ve been going to two LCG(not sorrca) comps a month for the past year and I’ve yet to see one of these place. Seen a bunch, some in the hands of great drivers and they do ok but they’re not podium material imo.

Fusion Pro with it's low speed modulation is heads and tails better than anything else I have used for Crawling. I have the Spektrum version and it does not have that super slow controllable low end the Fusion Pro has. I may end up selling it and buying another Fusion Pro.

Ascent needs a revolver, 4 link and soa to be a proper rig. That's what im doing to mine eventually.
"Proper rig"? I think that all depends on your interpretation bud, plenty of people think a 3-link is perfect, just the way it is 👍

When I started building trail truck & monster trucks in 1989, the horrors I've seen, guys spending a $1k on a plane and immediately crash them...I'm like, "nope!"

Megalithics are banned from Sorrca.
Sorrca bans everything that’s why people are having their own large comps crazy rules ruins the fun. I am not saying that they shouldn’t have rules but every time a tire works great they ban it. I understand tire sizes but it is made with the same compounds so they are banning it for the tread?
The only way to put Sorcca in its place stop doing the competitions
@@TheLilhulk1111 I run a series of events in Atlanta with a few friends, we don’t use SORRCA rules. Last year we had over 140 entries over 6 events and paid out over $3000.
I’m trying to get them but I think you bought them all.😂 Everywhere Out of Stock😒
