The only singer I’ve ever known of who will sing something X rated and then gospel on the next song…And make a person believe him while doing both. Some people say DAC would probably be in the country music HOF if not for the X rated stuff, and that may be true, but then he would not be DAC. Love him or hate him, he is truly authentic, and that’s what music is so desperately deprived of these days, more than anything else…Authenticity. He did it his way, no compromises. Not many can say that.

I barely remember seeing him live at ma mas country show case in Decatur Atlanta what ever city it was it was basically Atlanta off of 285 but by the time he got there about every body in the bar was pretty much wasted and there was no standing room at all folks were packed in like sardines
