Savarkar served only nine years in Andaman jail. He was sentenced for fifty years. British was so scared after he threw seven mercy petition bombs at them that they released him from Andaman jail. There after he accepted pension from the British government which destroyed the British economy.

This is the most politically fired review I have ever seen. This is not by far talk about the movie. This does not talk about the cinematography. This makes me feel that it’s not the movie that is propaganda but all celebrated film critics not reviewing this film is definitely a propaganda. They are deliberately not reviewing this film and reasons can be their political bent or they do not like Randeep Hooda, their belief in history. But aren’t their job to watch film as a film and not from a political or personal angle? If they are purposely not reviewing this film then aren’t they also part of politics and political views? Isn’t this part of their “agenda” ? This is actually a reality of how these critics are not as clean as they appear . They are equally biased and picky to review not all. Disappointed.

Veer savarkar is masterpiece watch with family
I like this kind of analyses and reading a movie through different facets and viewpoints. Even if I agree to everything or not, ut's definitely interesting. But don't you think it fits better as a seperate video essay or even as a episode in your podcast FC POP CORN rather than it being put out as a "movie review"? Then you'll get the chance to dive more into it with more detailing. I like Prathyush and I like listning to his views, specailly with his unique style of speech. But, this is definitely not a movie review.

Only advice for this reviewer: "If you polish your ignorance, it will shine." This review is an insufferable word salad that's been smelling stale for a while. It also shows he has neither read Vikram Sampat's tomes on Savarkar and nor has he ever challenged the scraps of ideological claptrap he's picked up from the Leftist ecosystem. He's still twirling around in the La La Land of the distorians, in the true Film Companion tradition. This review will go into the Left Lunatic Fringe Hall of Fame. Maybe get a Magsaysay award!
The film is a very interesting watch and far from boring. The 2nd half is gripping, and for a first-time director, Hooda is very good. As an actor, he melts into the role. The fascinating story of how the underground revolutionary network kept little fires burning for over half a century is sadly never been understood for the role it played in the life we enjoy today.
P.S: I'm flabbergasted by the exuberance of his verbosity. 😂

This channel definitely has a reputation of bias regarding certain movies, but this one is truly taking it to the next level.Is this review here because of the backlash from not reviewing previous movies like the Kashmir files? It’s less a review of the movie more a lesson in selective political history. What a person is ,is largely decided by what a person believes in. And this movie is about his impact on the Indian freedom struggle.Please be aware that one is not reviewing a Gangubai Kathaiwadi or a Yeh Jawani hai deewani.This is a revolutionary’s tale.That snide remark about Swadeshi did not help either. Showing his petition in a movie review? Really? Why not show the petitions of all the people in jail at the time including the non violent one’s? Should make for very interesting reading.Their language is even more flowery.Also no need to over intellectualize things that are obvious to most viewers if one has nothing to say about the art of the movie itself.Why not just stay away from such movies altogether and also then have the strength to take criticism for it.Stick to movies like Shikara for the ‘realistic’ portrayal of Kashmiri pandits.

I watched the morning show of the film and it was completely housefull. The movie is extremely well made, all actors have done amazing work. India would have progressed faster if we had followed Veer Sawarkar views post independence. i have read book by Vikram Sampath on Veer Swarkar as well.
And, yes Veer Sawarkar has not got his due even, he deserves much more.

This review shows how propaganda is spread by choosing very very selective clips and manoeuvre the thought which I think is different from reality by some people who think themselves elite and cool, like the reviewer (at least trying to show by their body language ). In the world of the Internet, we should be able to identify it and learn from it. I can now understand how these people influence our 1,2 generations when they really stop the other side of the story.
