DOCUMENTARY OVERVIEW
We have decided to feature Perlis Snake Park as our main focus of this documentary to showcase the facility's historical contributions to the field of herpetology and how it is still functioning today. We want to highlight the current contributions it has to the scientific research in herpetology and also investigate the conservation efforts to breed and preserve a variety of snake species that are threatened by deforestation and other habitat disturbances. We would also like to highlight the current contributions the facility has towards local tourism in Perlis and help raise awareness of the snake park’s existence.
We would also like to take this documentary as an opportunity to tell real life stories from various individuals who are directly involved in the field of herpetology from varying backgrounds. The main objective for this documentary is to bring awareness to the importance of Malaysia’s contribution and ongoing efforts in the field of Herpetology. We would like to join hands with our subject bios to feature their dedication and passion to keeping this niche field of study alive and thriving in their own way. The diversity in our subject bio’s are proof that even if they are not directly involved with one another, each of them still play a significant role respectively in boosting Malaysia’s contributions to the study of Herpetology for generations to come.
