1. Certain levels of stress are good. They teach you how to cope, they teach you how to problem solve, they teach you how to fail and then to do better the next time. 2. I am ___(put the labels you think puts you in a disadvantageous position). No one’s going to like me. If you put labels on yourself, you are putting yourself at a disadvantage. 3. You just perform. In areas, you are weak, perform. Earn your place. 4. If after you perform, people still have an issue with you, know that you are not the problem, they are. 5. Focus on putting one foot forward the other. Think about the next thing you are going to do. If I am not performing. And I’m there waiting for people to accept me, then now it’s me. 6. It’s 50% you and 50% the other person. 7. Respect is a gift. If someone wants to give it to you, they will, if they don't they don't. 8. Don't tell people you are the authority. Show them. Don't demand respect, command respect. Show you are the in charge by how do you walk into a room, how do you carry yourself, how do you speak, how do you project your voice. All those things exude power, and all those things command respect. 9. People make your impression in first five seconds. Think about what you are exuding, how you are dressed, think about the audience. You are going to wear one outfit for something and a different outfit for something else. 10. There are different versions of us. There is no just one you. What version of you are you bringing to the table? 11. Your goal shouldn’t be to make someone like or fear you. What is the end result you want? Likability is important. 12. Competent and warm not competent and cold. 13. No one is 100% bad. 14. Don't make it personal. Focus on the end result. 15. When things happen to you, rather than completely losing your mind, take a minute, don't respond, and don't do anything. Introduce a disrupter such as time or movement. 16. If you feel threatened in a situation, listen to your gut. Don't worry: about making the other person feel that you are rude. 17. Embrace and not avoid confrontation. Also, you should be able to confront people about things you don't feel right about in your life. Don't sit there and swallow it. 18. Mirror the other person’s language. If they say hi, say hi, if they say hello, say hello. Connect. But dint fake it. 19. Get in the right mindset and then decide how you want to speak to the other person. 20. 80% listen, 20% talk. 21. Talk to people not the way you want to be spoken to but the way they want to be spoken to. 22. You are not going to own my response to you. I am going to own it. 23. You have to create those barriers for yourself. You have to self-assess who you are going to let in your inner circle. Select the people in your inner circle. 24. People should audition to be in your inner circle. 25. Don't embarrass people but don't hesitate from confronting them. 26. There should be standards that you create for yourself. You get what you tolerate. 27. When you make a conscious decision to be done with someone, be done with them. 28. It should be about your mental conviction. Speak with confidence to make sure those who heard your message heard it clearly the first time. It should not be mistaken for weak or uncertain of your abilities. 29. Strengthen your voice and believe in what you are saying and why are you saying that. 30. The more adversity you deal with, the more resilient you become. 31. Repetition, repetition. Create habits that are healthy so when things happen, you default to those habits and pull out that version of you. 32. There are two types of people you should be careful of: people who are extremely self-righteous and people who use justification. 33. Look at people holistically who are they with everybody because that’s going to come back to you. 34. You feel dirty with someone be aware of them. 35. Don't get energy from the outside things such as your job, your family etc. Give your energy to those things but be mindful of how much of your energy you put out there into things. 36. Don't be surprised. Everybody at the end of the day is looking after their self-interests. 37. Don't be a victim. 38. Indecisiveness is a very dangerous thing. Indecisiveness causes us to look to others to give us the advice, it causes us to not make decisions in life, indecisiveness keeps us paralyzed, and indecisiveness is bad for our self-esteem and our confidence. I am going to do this right or wrong I am doing this. 39. You don't become this person overnight. It’s work. It’s a lot of work. 40. This person has an emergency. It’s their emergency. It’s not mine. 41. Choose to make it a lesson. 42. Remember you do not know everything. 43. “I messed up. So what? Everyone does.” 44. Have some humility. 45. Establish yourself as an authority from the moment “go”. 46. Think of your words as “money”. The more powerful and impactful the words, the more money you are putting down. My words matter and they have weight. They are going to impact the other person positively or negatively and their connection with me. 47. Don't stand behind the podium when you teach. 48. Be prepared, wear the right outfit, and do your hair and makeup in way that make you feel confident. 49. Own your shit. Be responsible for yourself even if the person sitting across you is authority. 50. If you are constantly being victimized by people, ask yourself: what am I doing to let people think they can do this to me. 51. Realize that you have choices. Fight back, speak back, or walk away. 52. Realize you have power. You can choose to not stay there in victim mentality. You can get back up. Watched all three of her videos and put it on all three. This is of so much value.
Joseph Flohr -Some of the most famous and highly paid interviewers haven’t mastered that technique. Jennifer L was right in acknowledging the fact that she listens and doesn’t interrupt.
This woman is a powerhouse! So refreshing to see someone embrace stress and obstacles, rather than the head-in-the-sand "good vibes only" bullshit that so many subscribe to.
@@milkandspice1074 Thanks for the reply! I do, however, beg to differ. That mentality has been making people soft and weak- often unable to cope with any real adversity. It is very possible to frame obstacles in a positive yet realistic way. Embrace the suck.
@@sendy_wendy Well, I use what has worked for me. Sometimes I push forward hardcore and at times I need time to wallow. Other times, I need good vibes. Ya know, I let myself be human. But, I mean...you probably fit in nicely with psychopaths/robots.
I ALWAYS trust my gut. It’s saved me so many times. Including a time when a neighbor offered to watch my children. I turned them down because of my gut. It was uncomfortable, but the gut feeling was really strong.1 week later he was arrested for sexually molesting his siblings. Never feel embarrassed about something that makes you feel uncomfortable. Great interview!
100000% agree! You should never feel bad about going with your gut. You don’t have to be mean about it, you just refuse, go a different direction, don’t get on the elevator, wait for a friend to go with you, whatever it is! I’m so glad you went with your gut on that. You’re a good parent.
This is such stupidity.. yes of course trust your gut feeling but dont pretend you know what its saying.. All you know is that you recognize something. thats IT!!! Its mostly your insecurities you recognize.. Not truth or reality..

This woman has helped me more in 48 hours (of binge watching her speaking) than most of the adult figures in my life combined. I’ve seen a real change in the way I interact with people, with myself.
Same! This is the woman my mom wanted to be (investigator for children). She ended up becoming a narcissist and used her position to abuse her kids. I see in this woman the good side of her I can't let go of.
YES, First video watching her and really listening, understanding, has helped me tremendously! I've suffered so long of being and letting myself be a doormat, I am a changed person. I cannot get enough.
That idea was very new to me. But I guess it makes sense. If I am trying to succeed and my haters don't believe in me or respect me, that doesn't matter. I don't need their respect to accomplish my success.
@Species 443764 Breen Ya I think that is really a typical man's point of view. Selfish and egotistical...they don't even respect themselves so of course you'd say that about women. 🤣🤦 Problem with society is no one respects anyone. Good talk you prove a great point.

My mentor was a homicide detective and he always told me to trust my gut “feeling” bc that’s just my brain processing information so quickly that it feels like “intuition” even though it’s usually not
Hi, I've been studying personality for quite some years now. Not officially though. Despite that, I can tell you that current research supports this as a possible real thing. You can look at Jungian Psychology. Other than that I have similar experiences. And I tell you, if you use that 'feeling' combined with "intuition" its like you have accelerated access to more distanced relations between information. Unfortunately, it also takes more wisdom to manage as it brings more insecurity. (In the beginning those combined skills will fail to synergize and contradict each other instead. Just keep going you'll get better at it as you go. ) Wise mentor to realise and correlate.
The other interesting aspect of this idea is that people who grew up in abusive household were forced to learn to “read people” as a survival mechanism. A that skill grows... sometimes it becomes a “human lie detector” type of skill.
@@msc8382 interesting take about "in the beginning those combined skillsets will fail to synergize and contradict each other instead". Never seen in that way, it explains a lot of things that i had questioned about myself before
It's actually your whole nervous system, which does include the brain. But our gut and heart are part of a biological feedback system which understands your environment before your brain does, and before you become consciously aware of the precise reasons behind what you're feeling.
"Weak people push other people down so that they can feel stronger" - great quote, for all of life, for anyone! Im only 15 minutes in and loving this advice. Be likeable but dont make being liked the goal, also great.

I wish it were mandatory for all schools to have at least one talk a month from people like this, there is so much to learn (other than what kids learn at school, which isn't real life lessons). Children and adults need to listen to this talk. Thank you so much!
When I was in elementary school maybe middle school I can remember having speakers but that was 30 years ago!!!! I agree that they would totally benefit from a speaker such as her!!!
I absolutely love that she gives permission to leave a situation without guilt or shame. This is my go to for healthy coping with PTSD. I’ve given myself permission to leave a situation and I always make sure I have an “out” and that my freedom / mobility is not in the hands of another person.
It’s okay to be rude, to get to safety, if you have a gut feeling that something is wrong. Thinking about it now, I feel pretty stupid that I put my not being rude above my safety. Needed to hear this
I know exactly what you mean... It is absolutely absurd the way we as women are willing to risk our own safety for the sake of possibly offending someone. Unfortunately I have been guilty of this so many times, but I've learned to get better the older I get. Some times our God-given "spidey-senses" might be off skew a bit, but 9 times out of 10 they're pretty dead on accurate. We mustn't be afraid of offending someone who is giving us an "off feeling" about them. The worst thing that can happen is that we were wrong and we'll need to apologize - but at least we will be alive and unharmed to do so.
Interesting, I've never feared being rude if I were uncomfortable. But I think that's because I had experience with some very bad people at a very young age.
I'm on the fence about this in terms of clarity....what does one mean by 'rude'??? Is ignoring someone 'rude' vs thinking we have to be confrontational? There's this weird spinning off on this advice for women to be pushy. I mean if some guy I don't like is talking to me I look another way and appear genuinely distracted but if he approaches me in a threatening manner and he's just bigger than me I'm not about to be stupid n think being mouthy is enough....because it may only be enough to get your bell rung like an idiot🤷♀️ I start moving and looking for exit strategies not ways to act stupidly big n bad *ss when I'm just not.
She's authentic; focusing on being her best self and her goals, rather than what others think. There is no other way to live, in my opinion. Way to go! Excellent job by the interviewer as well!
Notice how her character changed when she talked about failure being her superpower? That was her emotional side breaking out. The way she looked down and smiled is what we do when we're remembering something specific. She's probably remembering a time of her life which she failed so hard it forced her to wake up. She's grateful for the experience of that event because it fortified her. We must look at all our failures this way.
@@tula__ If someone is something, it isnt a label. Her being a woman in that field wasn't a label, it is what she is and it wasn't and isn't a negative or a hindrance.
Evie has changed my life by just watching two of her interviews. she’s truly helped me step into my power again after an extremely abusive relationship.
"Weak people put other people down so they can feel stronger" - So true - see it for what it is and recognize it is a reflection of the other person and not of you. Remember who you are and don't let anybody dim your shine in your mind. Never give the power of your self away. When you know your worth and all that is great about you - you have the mental strength to validate yourself - you don't need to prove your worth or argue your value to some third-person who will never know you as well as you know yourself - thank you
To any men or women who care about men that see this and feel a little down because it seems everyone thinks that excluding men from people who should be empowered, or given aid, or shown empathy towards, know that it isn't everyone. I for one favor the idea of caring about, empathizing with, and providing aid to men as well, and recognize that excluding them from these things is a form of discrimination, and that it isn't fair or right.
Evy is such a freakin BOSS! That energy is so assertive yet it also communicates, "I don't have time for your shit and I don't know how to beat around the bush" I loved this interview so much!
Evy is amazing. Articulate, confident and knows what she's talking about. And so was the interviewer... asking the right things and not interrupting. Loved it.
Often show hosts don't know how to interview. They like to hear themselves talk and think it's their show. This showhost is interviewing her guest with the intent to get information from her guest that will help others. That is exactly why she is a good interviewer and a good host. Guests don't want to be on a show where they can't share the information they were invited to share.
This is complete validation! lol I'm a therapist and I teach these principles to my adolescents and teens in middle school ("Know Your Audience" so they can anticipate reactions; "Use your intuition" for protection from dangers in life and not silence it; "Disagree Tactfully" so you can have a conversation of differing opinions and not an argument, listen to LEARN not to ARGUE and be RIGHT because they may give information that triggers a shift for you.) YES!! Reframing is also a therapeutic technique I teach parents (You can yell all their flaws at them or you can acknowledge their mistake and talk to them about how and why to make a different choice)
I'm glad that someone with your reach is digesting this type of information to use in your work. You're making a difference in young people's lives. Even if the nuggets you initially share come to the surface years later, you are planting the seeds now.
@@quickgirl80 Thank you! I appreciate hearing that. I have definitely come to learn that I may not always see the fruits of my labor, but if I can plant some good seeds and let life and others finish watering and cultivating them, I’ve done my part😌 (And I use that phrase all the time! It’s what keeps me sane in the hard days! lol)
It’s so great that you are teaching teens to listen to that inner voice or ‘gut’ or intuition! It is a valuable life skill that can be life saving. Additionally, to not be afraid to act on that feeling - meaning don’t be afraid to look crazy for a moment. For example, when I was about 17 I had to walk home after work at a fast food restaurant. We lived in a very, very rough area, but we were very poor and I had two after school and weekend jobs. So I took whatever shifts were offered. One night I helped close and started walking home at 11pm. Suddenly I realized three guys following me and cat calling. Then I noticed they were closing the distance between us. It felt like a pack of wolves getting closer. Just as they got within 10 feet of me I notice two adult young men about 20 feet ahead. I had never see them before, but called out, ‘hey guys wait up! You are supposed to be walking me home!’ with a cheery voice. They turned around surprised and laughed as I started jogging towards them. They had stopped to watch this strange teenager in her silly uniform coming towards them. The wolf pack stopped and then turned a corner. I never made it to the two young men, as they laughed again and went on their way. Yet, I am sure that I saved myself from being harmed that night. That was the first time I trusted my gut and took action. I wish I had done that when I was younger, as it may have saved me from being raped across the street from the apartments where we lived - in broad daylight.
This channel is my daily ritual, I clean, cook, relax listening to these interviews. I feel empowered and prepared and SAFE in this virtual space you’ve created, and for that I am eternally grateful. I naturally pay attention to body language, intuition, their social media accounts, listen, etc this is how I base my judgement of someone. It isn’t that we don’t all lie, we do, but what you lie about says everything about someone.
I have been "binging" on TED talks and old Oprah interviews the past few weeks, trying to keep my mind focused on something not related to COVID19... This is by far the most interesting and useful talk I have watched.
Oprah is the devil, it's better to watch healthy content like this. Oprah is connected to "John of God"... That's very bad! If you want something to listen to that's full on wholesome and helpful look up (Mel Robbins). She is the bomb!!! 🙏👌💃🔥💯
BushPiG0 Also, as she stated, don’t jump to assume the reason they are lying (the drug reference, the assumption it’s them doing drugs but it could be something else, like a loved one that they care about and makes it an uncomfortable subject for them).
You should never trust your gut, only trust Jesus Christ! He never lied, trusted His gut, sought after material gain, etc. He was God in human flesh, but NEVER sinned. People need to follow Him, not any man! I speak from experience. God bless you
Notes: 1) Moving chair 2) Don't tell people you are the boss 3) Knowing your audiences and adjust to them. We have different versions of us depending on our audience 4) Look does matter. Esp for those people who don't know us. They make 1st impression of us within 5 seconds and it is hardly reversible if it is negative 5) Assess our goal, and communicate to get to the goal 6) Goal is not for people to like or fear us. Instead, we can accomplish if we are competent and WARM. Not cold 7) Pull out the good quality in people, then only they will highly co-operate 8) Don't take it personally when people lie to us. Don't say that people lie to me coz I am xxxxx.. Instead they lie coz of their ownself. They might want to protect themselves, etc. 9) Walk away from situation that make us angry. Don't react. Don't be repulsive. Wait for 24 hour. Don't send that email or text until 24 hours. Introduce a disruptor. Go somewhere else. Do something else. Do something to distract fron continue thinking about that situation 10) Follow your gut feeling! 11) Do not avoid confrontation. Embrace it. "I hear you. I disagree with you and here's why.." let them scream, let them become a fool, we just sit on our chair. SOMEONE IS YELLING AT ME, SO WHAT?? SOMEONE IS CONFRONTING ME, SO WHAT? Think like that 12) In the confrontation process, don't yell at people at talk to them like they are garbage. Avoid calling people rape, liar.. Instead ask, hey, did u hurt her? Did you take that money? 13) Listen to people. 80q listen, 20q talk 14) Do not make assumption or else we will fall in Confirmation Bias. We only listen to what we want and turn it to be something we have assumed earlier. 15) How to know if someone is lying? Body language, looking at they eye or not, omission (leaving out some info), stalling technique (asking back question). Observe the language they tend to use: often will leave out the 'i' in conversation due to lack of commitment, are they detailed or vague, liars are vague

It's been a slow, painful learning process. I like her 24 hour rule of responding vs. reacting. My gut feelings have never been wrong.
Sometimes we don't have the luxury of waiting to deal with a conflict, though. In retail you can't just walk away from an angry customer, and you are limited in what you are allowed to say to them to get them to calm down, too. I'd like to ask Evy for tips in situations like that.

My dad always told me to stand back and listen without saying a word and you will learn alot. This has proven true in some many different situations in my 39 years.
The challenge today is hot to treat crazy people because most of the examples are with people who some sort of mental organization but there are so many people with mental issues today which don't follow much logic.
Melvin Lombard They also distant themselves, speak from a 3rd person perspective and sometimes offer way too much info and seemingly just ramble on (when details are completely unnecessary). For example: Q = Did you eat? A = Pizza, thin crust with pepperoni, extra cheese and a robust sauce. It took a long long long time to get they were super busy, but the waitress a girl named Jessica, was really friendly and apologized for the wait. Did I mention it was thin crust? It was incredibly delicious, we really should go there together sometime. I can’t remember the name of the place, but it was pretty good... and not really that busy. So how was your day? (Notice the over the top response and inconsistencies)
@@GhostSal I completely agree, they projectile vomit information that's not relevant, they have no conscience of what's right or wrong, they just go on and on... like I've officially had it with these people. Parents and family sometimes believe they have a free pass for twisting the facts to suit their narrative. I can still tolerate people who lie casually because it's clearly got to do with themselves and their reality, but people who lie to cause malicious damage to someone's character are trash, they are so far detached from reality that they lie so skillfully and convincingly. As they carry on with their deceitfulness you can see their minds working, the incessant talking, vagueness of whatever BS they are concocting as they go along, unoriginal and usually a projection or regurgitation of their own insecurities, twisting the true version of events. I mean if you're going to lie, atleast make it original, and don't you dare point them out a contradictory statement made previously, they'll tell you you're the lier. She is... AND she has the square jaw, protruding brow bones of a male. I feel pretty sure by the skull shape that "she" started life as a "he". Notice how the interviewer has a sloped jaw, smaller brow bones, and less deeply set eyes. A true female has the skull shape of the interviewer. I don't care what gender someone wants to present but I feel sorry for real females comparing themselves to impossible to copy beauty ideals. Also gross to see men lusting after these guys dressed as women. If men still want these people after knowing the truth, that's fine. Just so many deceivers in this world and the deception grosses me out.
Self assessment is such an important factor to her success. Two ways I would suggest to fast track this is Journalling and Meditation. Nobody will lie to you more than yourself. Thank you so much for this amazing interview Lisa!
Lachlan McFarlane I totally agree. I haven’t been able to reach that state of calmness and spaciousness that meditation is known for. But my biggest aha moments usually happen when I meditate.
@Chorus Frog I mean I appreciate the sentiment behind what you're saying but one thing doesn't follow from the other. The fact that SOME people harm other people without knowing it does NOT mean that ALL OF US are harming someone without knowing it. But again, I appreciate the sentiment, it's never a bad idea to double check whom we might be harming w/o knowing it.
Yes yes yes fantastic interview! Women in general are taught to be "nice", not to come off as rude or cause any commotions. We're more worried over what some stranger might think, someone that we've never met before and will probably never see again, then trusting our own intuition.

Its usually the other persons energy that doesn't feel right with ours and your energy gives you that ''gut feeling'' that there is something not right..
She hooked me up on the first compasses of the conversation with the stress explanation. Basically what she said was something like "coping with stress is an intangible muscle that needs working, work it because everntually you'll need it strong"
This is the second video of this channel I've watched (so far). I listen to mostly podcasts and interviews and I ADORE how this host doesn't interrupt even once.
I agree so much on the confrontation part. I learned this by working as a nurse on a Psychiatric unit. You let patients vent, that's energy. Once the patient is calm, you can speak openly and as far as my experience works with 90% of the patients and it avoids unnecessary restrictions/use of medication and provides a space to rapport-empathize with the person. I love my job. 😊
Intuition never lies. Ex: I met a guy online, and we talked for months, and we even spoke on the phone. I was crazy about him; but, when I met him face-to-face, something felt "off" about him. I trusted my intuition, even though all other signs pointed to him being a catch. Sure enough, two years later he was arrested for kidnapping and rape. Trust your gut. Always.

@Clorox Bleach ok so heres ur plan. Find some talented people screw them up a bit so you can incarcerate some other screwed up people and make them pay by screwing them up more. Is that really the best plan you have? Pretty sure we can do better..
@M Z do you think we should make people happier healthier and more skillful or do you think we should make them bitter and resentfull and selfish.. ?? This isnt rocket science.lol
A person level of responsibility should match there freedoms. The current incarceration system is toxic and not solution. We have heaps systems that are broken in same way. Easy to fix but

So powerful and TRUE!
So what? Everyone does.”

Just keep going you'll get better at it as you go. )
Wise mentor to realise and correlate.
But thet is the very definition on "intuition".

Great idea for any situation. I practice this always for physical safety and to never lose control of any situation.
Yes💯💯💯
This!!
Thats so so true! It's okay to not be nice sometimes.
Interesting, I've never feared being rude if I were uncomfortable. But I think that's because I had experience with some very bad people at a very young age.
I know! When she said that I thought of quite a few dangerous situations I have put myself in .... Yikes if I only knew then what I know know..
I'm on the fence about this in terms of clarity....what does one mean by 'rude'??? Is ignoring someone 'rude' vs thinking we have to be confrontational? There's this weird spinning off on this advice for women to be pushy. I mean if some guy I don't like is talking to me I look another way and appear genuinely distracted but if he approaches me in a threatening manner and he's just bigger than me I'm not about to be stupid n think being mouthy is enough....because it may only be enough to get your bell rung like an idiot🤷♀️
I start moving and looking for exit strategies not ways to act stupidly big n bad *ss when I'm just not.

Her eyes also watered and she had a more sincere expression which would convert hardships.

Same here! I needed this message at for sure. :)
@@MrJuliopolis that was not my intention to exclude men.

She’s not “the interviewer”, she’s Lisa Bilyeu. My gosh! This is her show.
Shea McMillan amazing lessons!! 👏❤️

This i find interesting. I learn stacks when things are going right...like..."ooooh...things are going right...how did i do that?..and get here......must remember to repeat that..somehow.
HA HA HA HAAAAH!!....nice one TROY.
This is real education.
I naturally pay attention to body language, intuition, their social media accounts, listen, etc this is how I base my judgement of someone. It isn’t that we don’t all lie, we do, but what you lie about says everything about someone.
There’s not a dull moment in this episode. This is something I would like to come back to time and again
Elvina Fernandes wow! Thank you 🙏🏻💕
"If you're blaming everything that's going wrong outside of you. . . You're not being you." Personal responsibility requires emotional maturity.
I have been "binging" on TED talks and old Oprah interviews the past few weeks, trying to keep my mind focused on something not related to COVID19... This is by far the most interesting and useful talk I have watched.
Danielle Bissonnette amazing!!! So glad you thought so and thanks for commenting 💪🏻
You should look at Jordan Peterson, he has some amazing video’s imo on YT ☺️
Danielle Bissonnette , look up some George Webb videos. He’s an investigative journalist who travels around getting information on criminals.
Oprah is the devil, it's better to watch healthy content like this. Oprah is connected to "John of God"... That's very bad! If you want something to listen to that's full on wholesome and helpful look up (Mel Robbins). She is the bomb!!! 🙏👌💃🔥💯
@@annafrances5118 yes yes!!! I came here to say the same thing!!!
Lisa is so admirable. She tops any network news interviewer. She is strong, humble and naturally beautiful in and out.
Just because you know someone is lying, does not mean they will actually tell you the truth.
BushPiG0 Also, as she stated, don’t jump to assume the reason they are lying (the drug reference, the assumption it’s them doing drugs but it could be something else, like a loved one that they care about and makes it an uncomfortable subject for them).
What if they know, that you know, that they are lying
Just because it rains, doesn't mean I'll get wet.
yes its not hard to know that someone os lying but its hard to prove that they are lying & have them accepted with proofs .
This woman is not only stunning, classy & articulate, but also brilliant! I learned a lot. Thank you for this amazing interview.
i would like her to piss on me!
Afgan No3 😐
Afgan No3 wtf
yes we exist
The only times I’ve gotten into trouble or had bad results is when I don’t trust my gut.
Exactly!!
True.
You should never trust your gut, only trust Jesus Christ! He never lied, trusted His gut, sought after material gain, etc. He was God in human flesh, but NEVER sinned. People need to follow Him, not any man! I speak from experience. God bless you
Yup!!
!!!!! FOR REAL
Notes:
1) Moving chair
2) Don't tell people you are the boss
3) Knowing your audiences and adjust to them. We have different versions of us depending on our audience
4) Look does matter. Esp for those people who don't know us. They make 1st impression of us within 5 seconds and it is hardly reversible if it is negative
5) Assess our goal, and communicate to get to the goal
6) Goal is not for people to like or fear us. Instead, we can accomplish if we are competent and WARM. Not cold
7) Pull out the good quality in people, then only they will highly co-operate
8) Don't take it personally when people lie to us.
Do something to distract fron continue thinking about that situation
10) Follow your gut feeling!
Think like that
12) In the confrontation process, don't yell at people at talk to them like they are garbage. Avoid calling people rape, liar.. Instead ask, hey, did u hurt her? Did you take that money?
13) Listen to people. 80q listen, 20q talk
14) Do not make assumption or else we will fall in Confirmation Bias.
Evy is like a real-life Disney princess, her eyes are incredibly beautiful. This is the kind of person I look up to! I deeply admire her skill and intelligence. We need more people like her in the world! 💗
BeckyLoves Bucky I agree, I find her so stunning and undoubtably intelligent too.

Dang. I want to read the comments, but the conversation is tooo interesting.

She is absolutely amazing!! "The more I fail the more resilient I become!"
Which is not true. Imagine she would never had a job and failed in everything she did would you listen to such a person? I guess this just sounds nice to those who are not thinking...
@@nachtschicht7276 Crisis let you see a person's true color.
INCREDIBLY IMPRESSIVE.
I`ve watched hundreds, maybe thousands of interviews and speeches about psychological topics... So many people out there giving their 2 cents on what they think they know about human psychology and she just handed us a whole f*** DOLLAR.

Absolutely agree!
I love how the interviewer reflects back what has been said and clarifies, instead of pushing an agenda
She is an excelleng interviewer who not only listens but adds interesting elements to the conversation
Oh my goodness this was in my recommended and I almost didn't click on it and I'm just so glad I did. This woman is remarkable.

The discourse on your sixth sense is validating. There were many times when I lived in Chicago where I had a gut feeling and I removed myself quickly from a situation. I always thought, well maybe I'm being paranoid, but you know what? I'm still here.
Woha! Beeing surrounded with sociopats or narcissist for years teaches you similar knowledge. What a Gift of Strenght! when you are not entangled.
Adele love, I was thinking exactly same thing. Actually what Evy is saying could be used in interactions with a narcisist or psychopath.
@@ich6636 Yes! And such a worthwhile but hard lesson to learn. Its actually (in the end) empowering and helps build mental strenght. Thank you. That was really uplifting to reflect upon.
Yes! I was thinking the same thing.
Totally agree being around narcissists as a child is it’s own form of boot camp if you get through it ok
As a child I was told how I should think and feel, so I learned not to trust my instincts. As a result, I've spent most of my life doubting myself, and over thinking everything. It's been a slow, painful learning process. I like her 24 hour rule of responding vs. reacting. My gut feelings have never been wrong.
J. Skye Phoenix completely feel this! Has been a painful journey but one of the most beautiful as well :) good luck with your journey ✨
@@watsupgirl7 Thankyou. Good luck to you as well ❤
Sometimes we don't have the luxury of waiting to deal with a conflict, though. In retail you can't just walk away from an angry customer, and you are limited in what you are allowed to say to them to get them to calm down, too. I'd like to ask Evy for tips in situations like that.
Yes same! We had a rough start but we can get better guys 💪🏾

When she said her super power was failure it brought tears to my eyes it’s such a powerful and positive way to change the narrative definitely getting her book 💜
"Failure is my superpower." Thank you, Evy.
I love this woman and I'm only 20 minutes in and she's gorgeous too! I'm a therapist and she is giving great info in general...

Wow. What a woman. 20 mins in and I already know that I’m watching this for a second time, just to make sure that what she says here goes in properly.
This is the type of class I would have LOVED going into back in school: the basics of life, interactions, relationships, trusting your gut feeling, how to over come fear and or confrontation. Just to name a few and to have HER as my teacher.
Every second of this interview was “FIRE!” Just to quote interviewer! 😉👍🏽
Yess I’d love to take a class like this
She's right. It's all about listening and observing. Understanding others instead of projecting.
My dad always told me to stand back and listen without saying a word and you will learn alot. This has proven true in some many different situations in my 39 years.
Same here! It's great isn't it.
@@Amy_Stanmore Yes!
The challenge today is hot to treat crazy people because most of the examples are with people who some sort of mental organization but there are so many people with mental issues today which don't follow much logic.
The vagueness is so true... someone who's lying is extremely vague.
I'm dealing with this psycho and who I personally believe is not mentally well 🙄
or extremely specific and detail oriented
This comment thread: A person who is vague is lying. Also this comment thread: A person who is specific is lying. I'm never trusting anyone ever again
Nsikelelo Mthembu Lol, too much info and inconsistencies are what you’re looking for (not just specifics). Also, body language is part of it too, you have to look for and recognize clues.
At 27 gut feeling is your guardian angel protecting you. Listen to it. It works for all aspects of our lives. Greek mama bear here very proud of both of you.
" because when you're lying there's so much more you have to remember " OMG let that sentence simmer in your brain a bit. That's real deep!!
I’m an intuitive empath, so I read people immediately. I have an instant feeling about people upon meeting them. If something isn’t right with them, my spidey sense ramps up! Bless her heart, Evy worked with evil administrations from both parties. I’ve watched several of Evy’s videos and she’s pure badassed-ness! I’ve heard things I already knew and learned some valuable information! Evy is a wealth of information. My super power is chronic illness of over 10 yrs. Pain is an amazing teacher. All love to both of you, in oneness! 🙏🏻💞🕊🕊
I love all interviews with Evy, she represents everything I admire and respect in people. Thank you for inviting her to the studio.
The interviewer is such an empath. I want to hug her. haha
Yeah, she's the kind of woman you want to be friends with.
She is Lisa Bilyeu - famous in her own right. Better learn about her...
She truly is!
She just knows the interviewee all too well. And yes like some said, research on her.
Look ima be honest I can’t relate I’m not a fan and I really wanna get through this whole video but I’m so sick of hearing “I love that”
One of the best interviews I have ever seen! The interviewer let the guest speak and give her knowledge and experience. The guest gave wisdom that can apply to anyone. Smart people on both sides of this event. Kudos!
You are spiritually gifted ❤🙏😘
True I love her interviews
She is so beautiful, so articulate, so calm,... she's just wow.
You are an amazing interviewer. You let her talk and educate us. Thank you for doing this series
Lina _ I do the same thing!
My favorite phrase from this entire interview has got to be " even people who don't mean to harm us, harm us" soooooooo true!!!
@Chorus Frog ?
YES I was followed at Night By a man, instead of Running away which was my instinct I walked. He suddenly attacked me. Luckily he didn’t get to rape me because I screamed and neighbors opened their windows so he run away.
Dana Müller wow! Thank you for sharing and glad you’re ok! ❤️
They wont care what you think and be ready to treat you bad and walk away without batting an eye.
she is so tough , resilient and so authentic.. i almost see her tear when she narrated about her ex. she is a role model for how genuine empathic people can build up resilience and emotional strength and survive the world that is becoming dominated by cluster b folks... phew...

Cliff's note: "what does not kill me, makes me stronger ". F. Nietzsche.
This is the second video of this channel I've watched (so far). I listen to mostly podcasts and interviews and I ADORE how this host doesn't interrupt even once.
ALOT of men do that ladies , put you down to make themselves go higher ! And women are not loving themselves enough to see that!
@ Marie F You are not wrong, but don't you think that are a lot of women who put men down to do the same thing?
Marie F I agree with you!
BOTH men and women do this. Narcissism and Manipulation is non gender specific. FACT.
Bella Luxx she means in a men dominated workplace 🙄
Bella Luxx
Did she say the opposite 🤨 ?
I agree so much on the confrontation part. I learned this by working as a nurse on a Psychiatric unit. You let patients vent, that's energy. Once the patient is calm, you can speak openly and as far as my experience works with 90% of the patients and it avoids unnecessary restrictions/use of medication and provides a space to rapport-empathize with the person. I love my job. 😊
Mistic Selene, I can see you love your job you know how to treat vulnerable people ,wish we had more empathetic people nursing .
She worked with a man that flew 26 times to EPSTEIN ISLAND and we are to TRUST HER? Please. CASE CLOSED BOOM. I WIN THE INTUITION AWARD for today.
WOW the interviewer is SKILLED in listening!!!! I really enjoyed this! Also, loved the interviewee
I agree!
Lisa Bilyeu is her name. It’s her show.
Always.
Wow ! That could have turned out deadly for you.

This woman has given me a 30 year life lesson in this 52 minute 5 second video. This is the definition of street smart (Harlem) and book smart combined in one. Her eye contact is captivating::.and she’s beautiful too. This the new definition of Triple Threat! I for sure underestimated her when I clicked on this video.
“Respect is a gift, you can’t force anyone to give it to you.”

She's so real, no acting, just authentic
“Let them become the fool.” Love that!! Great advice. She’s awesome! So sharp and wise. And seriously, what about those cheekbones. She’s like a sculpted Goddess. Not to objectify her, but I can see how her extreme beauty is a positive distraction. And the para linguistics and matching tone techniques she mentioned are fascinating and so valuable. Great interview!!
being happy to Let someone walk off the cliff due to there own ignorance is a sickness. It also shows a complete lack of empathy and compassion and understanding for what that person is going through.. In this ladies view.. the end justifies the means.. Its not a wise thing.
@M Z yes cave man.. get with the times we have internet now..
A person level of responsibility should match there freedoms. The current incarceration system is toxic and not solution. We have heaps systems that are broken in same way. Easy to fix but
