  • Welcome back to our channel! Part 3 of my Furniture Price Wars. In today's video, I explain why the popular online retailer Wayfair is in financial trouble because less customers are not coming back to shop on it's site. Wayfair quickly became the largest homegoods retailer in the US but that time is ending. Let's take a deep look at Wayfair's key issues and how it affects you and your wallet.

I stopped buying from Wayfair because of the difficulty returning large items. They make you pay to ship back! You can often find those same items for sale at HD or Lowe’s or Target and if there’s a problem you can at least return the item to those stores. Or even if it’s just changing your mind because the piece didn’t work. That’s why Amazon keeps doing well…the return policy is fantastic on most prime items

I stopped purchasing from Wayfair for the simple reason that the company had a year of record profits right around the time of the pandemic and laid off a huge number of employees anyway. Why would I support a company that fires the very people who made it successful? That was just one in a long line of companies pulling that same crap. I can get garbage furniture from places that treat the employees better

That definitely describes how many people feel about wayfair. Thank you for sharing.

    I just subscribed.
I love your no-nonsense, conversational approach in your videos. Great content, very informative and you've clearly done your research! Also you have a nice, calming speaking voice I might add 😅
There really is nothing like going in the store and trying out the furniture before you buy it. I don't think I'll be doing online shopping like that anymore. After a few online blunders, I'm starting to look at Facebook marketplace for old furniture. Stuff back then was just made better. Better quality materials, real hard wood etc.
Will be looking forward to more uploads from you :) :)

There is no quality in the Wayfair furniture. I only buy quality pieces from estate sales, antique shops and high end furniture resale shops. It is better to have one quality piece than a house full of cheap trendy junk.

I got a cabinet from wayfair once and I threw it out after 6 months. The drawers started to break. 😔

Their quality is just crap. I can order from some place like Costco without worrying that the furniture is going to be horribly uncomfortable, because they do more to ensure that each piece is good quality. I bought a headboard from Wayfair. I didn't like it, and it was too difficult to send back. I sold it on Facebook Market. Never again.

I only shop there occasionally it is the return policy and customer service. Amazon and a physical store are better just for those reasons. If a business has to advertise that much it is because their product is suspect.

I bought a couch off of Wayfair a few years back. It was so hard to assemble because the holes were not drilled correctly.
It is also so uncomfortable 😖

Wayfair is a company I called that's based on fads. Had a friend that used to work there who was great at his job but ended up getting let go, because he was pointing out just how bad things were.

They're dying because it's no longer a safe outlet for $15,000 cabinets named "Vanessa 10".

    I'm one of wayfair's manufacturers.
I've always wanted to offer great furniture online, but it seems like wayfair doesn't care about that, wayfair will put another product with the same design as mine, even though what the other manufacturer makes is simply garbage, which makes it even more of a harsh environment for manufacturers like me to live in.
