Thanks for uploading this! I'm in the middle of creating my sub goal sheet and was curious if a Subathon would be beneficial for me or not. It's like I want to participate because it seems interesting to have viewers extend your streams but I can have subscriber goals regardless of whether I partake or not. The people who extend it probably aren't even gonna stick around long enough to watch the extra time they paid for. It honestly just seems like a trend you need a viewer base to do or else you'll be overshadowed by larger creators who outperform you. I'm torn because it seems like a lot of added stress for something you don't have control of.
Found this video when I googled 'subathon as a small streamer' I'm planning to have one myself. Seeing this video gives me more concern on how many check lists that I should have to start one. Averaging on 5-8 viewers with 50% being active chatters, okay, I guess. Interactive? Still trying, at least. Content? This is one of my biggest concerns since people coming in to the stream for one game and one game only most of the time, they don't bother of me trying out some other games. Whales? F*ck, you're right. In short, I'm still gray about having it. Thanks to your input (by all means, I'm not blaming you or sarcastictly thank you), my concerns are answered. Glad you found this! I’m sorry if I added to your concerns but just wanted folks to know the truth. It sure was fun! But it’s a lot of work. @@KingJutze Oh I did a lot of reality checks when thinking about having one. Got a bit discouraged due to the fact that that I'm still below 1k followers along my engagement both on the stream and off the stream was pretty off. I'll stick on having long hours instead or something else to celebrate a year of affiliation. Thank you for the kind words and best of luck for you too!
