- This week our adventures on the west coast of Scotland begin as we sail to Millport, the only town on the Island of Great Cumbrae. Millport is Scotland's most accessible island and a firm favourite of ours. Millport has something to offer everyone, no matter your age. The island is beautiful and full of life every time we visit. Whether you are looking to relax, hike & explore or do some watersports.. Millport has it all.
This week we relax at anchor for the first time in over a year, explore Millport, enjoy the sunshine and take a breather after 8 months of work in the boatyard. Ragdoll performed incredibly well despite all of our hiccups and we are looking forward to spending the summer on her!
If you decide to visit Millport, don't forget to visit The Ritz Cafe for the best ice cream on the island! Check them out here & give them a like : / ritzcafemillport

Who are we?
We are a family of three with three dogs, sailing the coasts of Scotland, exploring one island at a time - for now! There is no set route or plan. We will go where the wind and life take us. We have two golden retrievers and a bernese mountain dog - Hachi, Luna and Meems who sail with us. We sail on a 1995 Gib’Sea 472 who we are in the process of refitting, making our own and preparing for a big adventure.

Aww, thank you! It’s quite the views you there too ☺️
What amazing acrobatics.Very impressive. Great video. THANK YOU. My work place is facing your location so I see it(depending on weather!!) every day. I've never seen a beautiful woman doing acrobatics though.
Thanks Scott!
stunning weather, hope you are still sailing now as it continues! Did not expect the section starting around 16mins, wow!
Thank you Russel! Yes, we are still on the water! Haha, the silks surprised a few I think! Thank you :D
Really enjoyed your visit and wow you are super fit, was lovely to see you exercise.
Thank you Jennifer! That’s very kind of you :) It was nice to be able to do silks in the sunshine again, especially with such beautiful scenery!!
@@SailingRagdoll Im in Sydney in lockdown at the moment, so no silks - what a joy seeing the silks flying from the forestay - how do you anchor it on a furling system? Used to live on a 50ft sloop, miss it and have managed to slowly rebuild the fleet up to an 18ft so far - prob not big enough to hoist a silk!
@Auslan Access - Hope lockdown isn't driving you crazy... we did not enjoy our first lock down either here in Scotland. The Silks we fly from the spinnaker pole end and halyard, while using the sheets to guy the end of the pole sideways so that the silks sit nicely in the foretriangle. one has to be careful that the guy lines pull the pole tip down and not in or up - it is a very shallow angle they can make with the end of the pole. Daria doesn't put much stress on the setup though. What 18fter do you have?
Great video! Did you end up painting a stone ? 😂
Thank you Kamil! We didn’t but maybe next time!! We can maybe leave some paw prints! 😂
