  • We leave the Crinan Canal and go to Largs to see Saturn Sails to get a small repair done before it becomes a big repair, but on the way we dodge storms, see porpoises and have a great sail as well.

They are about a month behind. Saturn Sails was early July.
We are currently in Liverpool doing family stuff, seeing friends and one major project. After that, North Wales then over the Irish Sea to Southern Ireland

‘The one thing you need to be able to do is just enjoy the sailing’. Wonderful.
Another fun vlog. We’re off to Largs on Saturday for a week around the Clyde. Nice to see it.

We found the sailing to be better on the Clyde than in the Hebrides simply because the wind does not get as funnelled. The long sea-lochs in the Hebrides are spectacular wind tunnels.
Largs is OK, but we have a soft spot for Troon becuase that is where we bought Salty Lass (although she was hiding under a different name)

Was this from a few weeks ago? I thought I heard you radioing Largs Yachthaven when we were also on the approach, but wasn't 100% sure

We were in Largs on 4th July. Maybe the echoes linger? ;-)

@@SailingYachtSaltyLass blimey, were has the time gone? Just checked and it was around the 6th July when we were coming in - must have been the ghost of salty lass haunting the Cumbraes :)

@@darkwaterlife - on 6th July we were in Milport as was another boat we know. You may have heard us shouting to them on Ch16. Milport is no distance to Largs so the signal would probably carry that distance.
