I've had this Lenovo monitor since 2021 and it's been great. Over 2000+ hours of use without an issue. The only drawback was the brightness of 300 nits max which was not sufficient for working with direct sunlight. Recently upgraded to the 57" Samsung and honestly I would still recommend the Lenovo over the Samsung. It's the sweet spot it terms of size and resolution for productivity.
@@rodneynilson sure! - It took a while before a monitor arm that could handle the weight of the Samsung was available that didn't droop. - Scaling is not possible on MacOs because of the 8k framebuffer limit with HiDPI. So you either run it at 100% or 200% or you sacrifice image clarity. I have to run it with PbP - It generates a lot of heat compared to the Lenovo, on hot days I could really feel the heat. - I have a big desk but it still takes up the majority of the desk space. - It doesn't feature an USB-C or thunderbolt connection and it took me a while before I found a dock that did run @120hz with all of the different laptops that I use (HP Thunderbolt G4 was the only one that worked with all operating systems Windows / Linux and Macos) Positives are that it does offer a lot more room compared to the Lenovo and it's much brighter. For office use I had to disable local dimming, the mouse pointer was bright and everything around it dark with the default setting of high.
Lenovo is good if one is looking at the used market, but Dell's U4025QW has better specs at almost the same price.
Agreed

Yeah 40” seems to be a nice spot for standard UW format
Im considering making the same switch, from the P40w-20 to the g9 57. Can you add more context as to way you still prefer the P40w-20 over the g9 57"?

I will not connect with the hdmi.....? Mine will not work.
Is it New? That sounds like a defect. Or maybe it needs a firmware update.
